Food is over priced for quality. Service was extremely below average. Restaurant charges 20% “service charge” that states the restaurant will keep in entirety and then expects customers to tip wait staff on top of that. Ridiculous to expect customers to pay 40% of their bill. Would not recommend or return.
2 dozen oysters, 2 of each kind offered. Exactly what we wanted. A side of bread and butter for the 2 of us. Along with a cider and beer. Finished sharing a key lime cheesecake.
A little more upscale but still feel comfortable in casual dress, the seafood was fresh and service was prompt. Watch the 20% service charge on the meal though. A bit deceptive but there’s no way around it.
Delicious food! The recommendations for oysters were spot on
Birthday for niece was excellent.
The food was exceptional, but we felt rushed and pushed by staff even though we had a reservation. We understand that they do not want people to linger but pushing people and telling them that they have a time lining to enjoy dinner is just not the way to run business, especially at that price point.
Our waitress made the difference!
Elliott's Oyster House sets its bar high due to it's pricing and the 20% automatic add-on. I have eaten here several times before and expected to have a great meal. That expectation was met; I was satisfied
We were visiting from New York and our server William was extremely helpful in explaining the varieties of oysters and pointing out the local seafood specialties. He made our wedding anniversary which we were celebrating truly memorable. Although our reservation was late in the evening he did not rush us through the meal and was very cordial and professional during our dining experience. If our stay in Seattle was longer I'm sure we would have returned for a second time to try other items on the menu. It was hard to choose among the extensive selection which all seemed worthy of satisfying anyone looking to dine on excellent seafood.
We celebrated my husbands birthday here and absolutely loved it! Our server was fantastic and was super open to giving us recommendations. All the food and drinks were delicious, we loved our experience!
Dungeness crab appetizer was disappointing; no crab meat. King crab legs were excellent. Pea risotto was terrible. It was a mixture of leftover veggies and cream sauce. Our waitress was excellent.
I had the seafood pasta, my daughter the salmon and my husband the fried oysters. All were amazing although we wished there were other potato options besides French Fries (that were cold) and seasonal potatoes.
Really disappointed. Waited almost 30 minutes past reservation, 20 more minutes at table for water or anyone to come over. We were going to order apps, salads and more drinks but that took so long and they warned us when seated “we only had 1 1/2 hours”. $123 for two entrees plus the added 20% and one martini wasn’t worth it.
Terrible service. Water glass was never refilled nor offered. After first cocktail took 20 min to arrive, no offer for another after glass ran dry. We noticed our entree dish excluded the dungy crab that is included, but again no one said anything and simply brought the dish without it. Been a regular customer for many years but I’m unlikely to return.
Not impressed. Food was boring and over priced for the quality.
It was awesome!
Great wait staff, amazing seafood!
Great food and great staff. I would definitely return. 10/10
Great food and wonderful service.
Good was mediocre. Service was nonexistent. And telling customer that a 20% service charge was added to bill for things that an owner was responsible for was criminal.
Everything was delicious and service was great! They made sure that we had a special anniversary experience.
Great dinner, read reviews and was not sure what to expect… everything was delicious and service was great. Fried oysters were a highlight. Dining options downtown are limited still, happy we chose Elliott’s.
I loved the fresh seafood. And the waitress surpassed expectations; she was interested in my friend and myself and made sure we were satisfied with our meals.
We had family get together for those in town from Illinois and Oregon and Seattle. We wanted to be on waterfront and Elliott's was best choice (and only as Anthony's and Ivar's were still closed) and in past Elliott's has always been quite good. It is still a beautiful and clean place with great ambience. It is so nice to be able to walk to end of pier and after dinner. The service was first class, the waiter was fantastic! But the food was not great especially when considering the expense. Out of the 7 of us, at least four were disappointed, (did not ask the other guests), and did not finish main dish. Hopefully this is just a kitchen issue coming out of COVID so willing to try it again but was a big disappointment. If it was not for the fantastic waiter, this would have been a three star.
The food was absolutely delicious. I only wish I’d gotten a table inside since it started raining, but that’s Seattle. Before the rain the outside table was lovely.
Visited on a Tuesday night. Service was slow. They told us when we sat down we had a 90 minute limit for dinner. Normally that would be fine, but the service was so slow, we ended up exceeding it. Food was good, not great considering the prices. Selections were somewhat limited compared to other Seattle seafood options. Location was very good by the water. We didn’t get raw oysters, but they looked good and the folks around us seemed to really like their experience with them.
Go to restaurant every time in Seattle. Excellent food and service Highly recommend it
On the short list for best Seafood in Seattle. Always a memorable visit.
Out for an anniversary, we had a great time! The only MILD disappointment was that the oysters were really shelly from who ever shucked them. But the oysters thems selfs were fresh and delicious! Our server was very kind also
Elliott’s has been one of our go to places for several years. It was one of our first restaurants to venture out to post COVID. We still weren’t sure of our comfort level for eating indoors so put on extra layers and requested an outside table. When we got there we had the option of outside or tent. We chose the tent because of the heaters plus the other tables seemed a little too sunny and breezy. The tent is enclosed in top and 2 sides. The heaters were not turned on but the plastic sides seemed to keep the heat in quite well and I removed my vest and jacket. Service all around was friendly and quick from the hostess to our server. We always get the pan fried oysters with bourbon sauce to start and they are still a highlight. Plump and tasty. My husband got the scallops with risotto and I got the halibut with asparagus and polenta-ample food and all very well prepared. Yes it is a little spendy but this is prime Seattle real estate and you can’t beat the views. So glad we ventured back and we’ll definitely put Elliott’s back on our list of “regulars”.
Great restaurant. Shrimp starter was good but our King salmon was a little raw. Creme Brulee was delicious and our server was excellent.
Our server was impeccable, super friendly, engaging and made some great suggestions to enjoy our meal. The food was delicious!
Great King Crab Legs and well worth the price. The MRS had the halibut and it was one of her favorites. I'd highly recommend both dishes. Excellent service!
It was great. Everyone enjoyed their food.
Basically an over rated tourist spot. Food was mediocre and overpriced for what it is. Would not go back.
Our meals were great, but our table was awful. We were first seated outside, which was very cold and windy. We asked to be moved, and we were moved inside, just inside the door, which was also very cold and windy. We wore our jackets throughout our meal, and were cold and uncomfortable for the duration. We thought about asking to be moved again, but we didn't want to be seen as difficult. There were plenty of other open tables, and even booths. The staff didn't seem to notice or care about our predicament.
Visiting from out of town and tried Elliott's because of all the fabulous reviews.
We sat at a table across from the bar (which was empty due to COVID). It was actually nice to be tucked out of the way (there's a dining area toward the back with more tables). Huge chandeliers hang from the ceiling and the wood beams and walls give this place a super cozy/rustic vibe.
The crispy shrimp and rockfish were our favorite dishes, but the crab cakes and oysters did not disappoint! The rockfish though...just try it (especially if you like asian flavors).
Our server was amazing. Super attentive, knowledgable, and enthusiastic (I wish I remembered his name).
We'll definitely come back to Elliott's next time we're in town!
Great staff and service
Hostess had a bit of attitude. Our waiter made up for it. He entertained and educated us on the difference in gulf oysters versus PNW oysters. I’m more of a char-grilled oyster guy but went with the raw to try something new. Liked the flavor but my stomach paid for it the next day.
Overall good feel, nice vibe and beautiful location. I’ll definitely go again but will stay away from the raw oysters lol!
