    I had the true cod fish and chips, a salad, and the clam chowder. The salad and the fish and chips were excellent. The chowder was on the salty side, but full of flavor. However, I will not eat here again. There is a weird gratuity practice that includes 20% that is not passed on to the wait staff in the form of a tip. I felt the price of the food was adequate to cover paying the business expenses and and staff and I was being asked to tip the restaurant and then tip my waitress (twice). This does not feel right!

    We had such a great experience. Tom, our waiter, was crazy attentive even though we were there close to closing time. He never made us feel rushed and even encouraged us to order 4 extra oysters when we felt bad about it. We loved the halibut that he recommended and all the oysters that Tom also recommended. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunset over the water. Highly recommend.

    Snow crab was overpriced and low quality. Either old crab or not fresh. Worst crab we’ve had. Sides of asparagus and potatoes were tasteless. The 20% service charge added to the bill is supposedly not the tip?!?! Wth. This is a tourist trap and I very much doubt locals go here. Should have known given location.

    The dinner experience was great from start to finish. A special thanks goes to our server Strawn. He helped with dinner selections that made for a delicious and memorable celebration meal for our 52 year Anniversary.

    Everything was great! The food was fantastic, our Server John was amazing! My only irk was the potato bread was not too entirely great, it was more on the tough side. We had the Corn and Spinach Strudel was AMAZING as an appetizer along with the bread and butter. For our entrees, we ordered the Seared Scallops and Beef and the Blackened Ahi Tuna which we gobbled up. Overall, amazing and we'll be back!

    Disappointed. We were celebrating a friend’s Anniversary. They were visiting from Tucson and specifically requested a Dungeness crab dinner. I called restaurant in advance to confirm that they had crab. They said ABSOLUTELY we have crab. Got there for 6:30 reservation and “sorry” we are all sold out on crab! Not cool and not the evening we planned. Dinner was fine and they tried to make it right but we will probably not be back. Sad to say as one of our favorites but not happy!!

    I wanted to love this experience, but could not. We had reservations and once seated had to wait over 15 min. for our server. This set the tone for the night. We continually found ourselves waiting for the server, who failed to take our order even 20 mins. after the appetizer was served (and 10 mins. after it was eaten). After we requested dessert menus, we waited another 15 mins. for them, which he only remembered after he passed by 13 mins. later and happened to notice he’d forgotten. Sigh. We did a lot of waiting. We also did a lot of listening to the too loud party of bachelorette night dudes who were so loud we watched two other tables request to be seated elsewhere. Wish we had too! This table consumed all the air and service in the room, leaving little for anyone else nearby. Loud, obnoxious, and drunk - our server was happy to spend more time chilling with them than taking our order or dropping off menus or the final check. Everything was a slog, and I don’t know if it was the inexperience of our server in general or his inexperience serving while bogged down with an obnoxious table that mgmt should have asked to settle down. Yes, there’s a service charge and I knew that before dining. I also know, having owned a chain of bars for 7 years, that servers typically tip out about 5-10% of their tips to support staff. I’ve also done the research and learned in this area many restaurants do a 20% srvc charge which they pass on 10-15% of to the servers by way of a higher hourly or commission wage to staff (so that staff make MUCH more than they make back where I used to own restaurants). So when our server delivered our check and said, verbatim “there is a 20% charge that goes directly to the restaurant, but if you want to tip me that goes directly to me” I was 100% put off. He conveniently left off that 10-15% of that comes back to him by way of wages. A sympathy ploy for more money, despite not earning it. Sadly, I can’t rec. based on the very poor service.

    I have had so many great meals here. On this visit the food was amazing, fresh and delicious. Service was just ok. My Negroni was missing something, not perfect. The surroundings were sticky from previous guests. 4 star prices, 2 star service and ambience.

    Outstanding! We had several rounds of starters rather than a main course, and everything was delicious. The Caprese in particular was to die for! The white clam chowder would make a New Englander happy. Its a busy place, so reservations are essential; despite the busy night, the service was excellent. I hope we get back to Seattle and Elliott's soon.

    Beautiful location. Great service. Strange 20% “service charge” is automatic. Food was very good, but nothing exceptional. Would refor the one time experience if visiting Seattle.

    yummy food, large portions. the waiter let us know that 20% is added to the bill but he only gets half, thought that was sort of an odd practice and not very good for servers. we left more for him but it seems odd to take half of a servers tip!

    We dine here all the time and brought out of town guests. The wait for service was much longer then usual with only a quarter full dining room. Our server brought us drinks but completely forgot to serve one of my guests until we inquired about our drink order. We ordered oysters and it took 30 mins just to get served. With a mandatory 20% gratuity despite the party size, I expected more.

    Raw seafood - scallops, prawns, crab legs, oysters were excellent. Hot entrees came cold though. Waiter informed us that even though they charge 20% surcharge on every check - only half goes to waiter - bad deal for waiters

    The food was under seasoned and overpriced. The service was just okay. My husband and I were looking forward to having a nice fresh seafood dinner. It was disappointing. The worst part was the extra 20% service charge added to our bill at the end that no one, including our server told us about.

    We had a reservation and got seated immediately upon arrival, outdoors, as requested. The service started off great, our server came up to take our order and was friendly. We put in our drink order first then later our appetizer and entrees. Entrees came before our appetizers then lastly, our drinks. Beer came but the Pepsi ordered didn’t come until after the second time we asked about it (at the end of the meal). When oyster tray was brought out half the water and ice was spilled all over our table. Waitress was really nice and food tasted fantastic but all these things took away from us having a great experience.

    Brought my family to Elliott’s for dinner. Unfortunately, we could not sit together as a group of five. The hostess was able to get us tables near each other. It turned out to be a pleasant arrangement since my husband and I were able to enjoy dinner as a couple and the younger crowd seemed excited about their food choices. My son raved about the oysters. Hubby was very satisfied with his steak and how it was cooked exactly as he requested. Jacob, our server, was attentive and had great suggestions for our drinks.

    Elliot’s is my favorite place to take out-of-towners. Unbeatable setting added to top class service and the freshest oysters anywhere make for a great treat. It’s pricey, but so worth it. We’ve never been disappointed yet.

    Overpriced. 20% surcharge which our waiter was quick to point out goes to the company. Any tip was in addition. Dungeness crab was over-steamed and therefore not as flavorful as anticipated. Do not recommend.

    Great service but value was lacking considering high price paid (including 20% service fee automatically added to every bill plus additional 10%+ tip as service worker state they only get half of the service fee) for so-so salmon and halibut non-memorable cuisine. The drinks are spendy at $15 each but excellent. The desert menu is lacking in non-dairy options with the exception of spumoni.

    Overall, a bit disappointed. We just got married and Rainier and came into Seattle to explore. We were hopeful Elliotts would be our big dinner out but it really wasn’t worth the hype in our opinion. The server forgot to bring several things to our table, the oysters were very small and the taste was really just subpar. We ordered the Celebration for our dinner and maybe that was the mistake. It was just really small for the price. Likely won’t come back and on the hunt for authentic Seattle sea food.

    We ate outside and it was a lovely night watching the ferry boats. Service was great. Food was very good such as the salmon fritters, halibut special of the day and oysters but super expensive ; very pricey meal which was enjoyable but wish the cost was a little more reasonable. But overall loved eating outside and thought food was very good.

    Our server Ardon F was great! He was very knowledgeable of the oyster types and customer service was possibly the best we have ever experienced at any restaurant. They treated us so well, we will back
