Richly unique (in a very positive way) dining experience. The environment and reuse of a old gas station sets the tone the minute you arrive. Courteous and attentive staff take over from there. There is just enough on the menu that speaks to most. Preparation and quality of ingredients are more than on point. On the whole this was an excellent night out. A bit spendy, however somewhat justified considering use of ‘local food sourcng’ and options. The ‘take away/at table’ wine selection is a cool concept. Be sure not too over look it as we did unfortunately. Resulting in paying $28 more for the same bottle on the menu listing for some reason. Wine selection is vast and quite interesting.

We've been to Ellerbe's 5-6 times over the years. The food is always very good, the wine list is excellent, the service is outstanding, and it's just a fun place to go. I really can't think of anything that wasn't just outstanding. The ambiance of a converted gas station may be lacking for those concerned with such trivia, but I certainly don't think this is an issue. We'll go again, hopefully sooner than later!

Dinner was good but not excellent, which I would expect for the price. My entrée was $30 and I only ate half of it. When the waiter took it away I assumed he would box up my leftovers, nope. He threw it away!! We weee Disappointed considering our overall bill was $150 for 2

Great service (thanks, Brittany). Wine list that satisfied the wine-os I was with. Food is unusual and creative without being weird. My lamb maybe could have been cooked a little longer. Overall a great experience.

Great food marred only by the poor service by wait staff. Not our usual experience and may be attributable to the holidays.

We had dinner reservations for our anniversary and when we got there it was closed up tight with lights out. We even received a txt to confirm our reservation the day before.

As usual, the food did not disappoint. The blue crab salad was yummy. The pork shank with the tamal and black beans was very good. We did have a little mixup with the water (what's wrong with tap water?); the waitress should have been more clear with the choices - she gave us a choice of still or sparkling, never mentioning we could have just regular water (instead of almost $7 water!). We also had a mixup on our bill (really? two people drank two bottles of bubbly!?). So, disappointed with service (why couldn't they have seated us in Michael's section?); our waitress was not very attentive, either. Front of house staff needs to be more attentive, as well; here's a hint: Look at people when they walk in!

Brought visiting friend here we had not been back in a couple of years. Food and service still wonderful. We had gumbo and seasonal soup then salads which were great. We had the pheasant, the scallops and the beef special which was sirloin which was very tender and moist.
The cookie sampler, the carrot cake and chocolate dessert were all delicious.

My lunch was delicious and the service was fantastic. The only problem was parking. The valet was a so nice but had to tell me there were no more spots. I parked a block away and walked back to the restaurant : (...but the food was fantastic.

Excellent food. Poor experience with front hostess. Didn’t even look up to acknowledge us. We’re at a work lunch with booked reservations and literally had to interrupt her in order to get acknowledged in order to get to our table. The place was nearly empty at that time for an 1130 am lunch crowd. Filled up shortly afterwards. And our waiter was stellar! First impressions are lasting impressions unfortunately and she lost it for me.

The waiter was very nice and kind. However, he was constantly at or table and we felt rushed to finish our food and were asked questions every 5 minutes. It was not relaxing as the environment seemed to imply. Would recommend giving guests some space t enjoy their time and conversation. Waiter provided good service just constantly was at the table to do something or ask something. Was not an enjoyable time with the many interruptions.

This was an amazing dining experience. It was my fourth time eating at Ellerbe’s and as always the food and service were just superb. I had the pasta entree and my friend had the pheasant. Both were cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back for my birthday!

I absolutely love Ellerbe's. The menu can be overwhelming with ingredients most people may not be familiar with, but literally everything on the menu is fantastic. Chef Molly has a creative approach to simple ingredients (like wheat berries or squash) in which she elevates it into a phenomenal and savory experience. She's pushed me out of my comfort zone to try things I typically wouldn't, and I absolutely trust her to prepare a brilliant menu. Without a doubt, you have to try the Maw Maw's Bread Pudding. It's unlike any dessert I've ever had!

The service was fine. Our server was pleasant and polite. My meal was okay. The beef was good and prepared properly, but the side dish was dry and unrecognizable. They did something I absolutely do not like in a restaurant. They put my nice white wine on ice however, they did not place it near my table so I had to rely on the server to refill my wine glass. If I was empty I would have to wait for my server or get up and walk past 2 tables to serve myself my own wine. They also placed another table's wine bottle in with mine. I am not trying to sound uptight but for the amount of money this dinner cost, I should have my wine next to my table.

A good farm to table type restaurant... I have been to Ellerbe a few times. Really enjoyed the fresh tomato salad - was a great way to start the meal. The table shared the cheese board which was also a good starter. All three diners had different fish dishes which were fine - but the swordfish could be called unremarkable. Service was fast and sharp the whole evening - but the restaurant was half full on a Wednesday evening.

A terrific evening, as always. Our waiter, John ( ?, almost sure ) was just terrific. Did a great job of being friendly, but not familiar. Wonderful help with both food and wine selections. He is a great asset. The kitchen did a terrific job, my pheasant was moist, and very flavorful. We shared a bread pudding that was to die for! My favorite place in Fort Worth.
