The location is worth seeing alone. The food is delicious and imaginative. As a plant-based eater I am used to only having one option on the menu and this was an evening full of things not only that I could eat but also that I enjoyed. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the food and we also got a chance to chat with Elizabeth about the philosophy behind the menu. I recommend it highly

We had a problem with silverwares, but that is not the point. They fixed when they noticed it.
The biggest problem is that I had a celiac friend over and I asked several times if the food was gluten free. They reassured us it was. Anyways my friend was sick 2 hours after dinner. Obviously we are not sure it was the food but what happened looked like a gluten exposure. Some ingredients like "beer powder" sounds like they might have contained gluten. Again not sure but my friend asked me to avoid go there again with her. I was a little embarassed of what happened.

The service was impeccable. We were first greeted by the bartender upon entering the restaurant. He was so welcoming and made us feel instantly at ease and comfortable. He was also incredibly patient with our drink orders and preferences.

As for the food, all the dishes were quite creative and interesting, showcasing multiple ingredients and techniques. However, there were still a couple of "misses" among the many "hits." This didn't put a damper on the experience though. Would definitely recommend anyone go to sample the spectrum of vegan/raw cuisine, even if they're not vegan (I'm certainly not).

Visited 2 vegan restaurants in the same weekend in DC. Elizabeth’s was by far the most expensive and least satisfying.

The food was really great, and most of it was raw and uncooked. It was eye opening how food could taste great uncooked. The potato and cauliflower cake was the one cooked item. Everything was delicious and looked amazing. We had a 10 month with us and he loved the food too. Allow about 3 hours for the whole meal (tasting menu). The place is not accessible but the staff helped us take the stroller up the two flights of stairs. There is also a bar downstairs where I saw guests who had come in early wait.

I took my wife who is a vegetarian for her birthday and it was simply fabulous. We have no idea how they were able to do some of the things they did without actually cooking anything but we loved every bite.

What a wonderful, creative dining experience. From the warm personal greeting of Elizabeth herself, to the charming, attentive, and very knowledgeable waitress, and of course the wonderful food, it was a very pleasant, enjoyable evening. I am certainly no "Vegan," and I have never knowingly eaten an exclusively Vegan meal, but each of the seven courses was truly a work of art, in appearance and in taste. There was plenty of food -- unlike other high-end "foodie" restaurants that scrimp on portions, leaving the diners to fill up on bread. In fact, Elizabeth's does not even serve bread; instead, they serve delicious special-recipe kale chips that, as with good potato chips, you cannot stop at one. I will certainly come back.

The ambiance is gorgeous, with an appropriate music selection. The service was very skillful, with most courses having a coordinated team of wait staff delivering and removing the whole table’s plates at the same time. There were one or two very minor missteps in the service, but overall it could barely be faulted, especially considering the restaurant is only open part-time and the staff probably has limited time to practice. Plating of the courses was beautiful, though the flavors ranged from perfectly balanced and memorably delicious to merely decent.

The empenada entree was disappointing texturally, as it was sitting in a bowl of broth. After the impressive courses that preceded it, I expected the supposed star dish following the palate-cleanser to be more exciting than a soggy empenada.

For a fancy vegan restaurant, it exceeded expectations. I would recommend it without hesitation if you are vegetarian and looking for a lovely experience on a special occasion. As an omnivore, I would still recommend it, but given the high cost I’m not in a rush to go back.

I find this vegan-based restaurant a gem. The 7-course meal is prepared exquisitely and presented with such elegance. It is pricey but worth the visit. I wish there was a restaurant like this in Virginia and maybe not seven-courses so I could go more than once-in-awhile.

This was my second time visiting the restaurant and I absolutely loved it. One of their drinks with a hibiscus flower was amazing! The fava bean soup was very refreshing and very flavorful. My favorite was the Yellow Tomato Empanada - a dish that was simple yet the flavors so rich and complex. The best vegan tasting menu I have had in a while.

Such creative food, everything was DELICIOUS! Great for everyone vegans, and meat eaters alike. Standard tasting menus are usually sooo repetitive, but this is real proof of creativity when a chef can think outside the box and turn plants into delicious (and actually healthy!) dishes. on top of everything, $80 pp was actually a good deal for a 7 course tasting menu. Do yourself a favor and make a reso here!

This is an amazing restaurant, an assessment made even stronger by the excellent care from Elizabeth. The food was outstanding and certainly nothing most people, I think, could ever dream up. Part way through the meal, I worried about being hungry later, as did one of my dinner companions, but not long after that, the nutrition kicked in, and I felt full and ate nothing after the meal until the next day. Service is outstanding; ambience is wonderful; noise level is reasonable, although I understand that it's louder in the front than in the back. This restaurant provides an experience to treasure--it is a unique dining adventure. I can't say enough good about it!

Fine Dining, Fantastic Service, Wonderful Food, and a great experience. The vegan lifestyle isn't for everyone, but to pass on this exceptional experience for any foodie is a mistake. The kitchen team does wonderful things with each course of the fixed menu and the diner will be amazed at the flavors, presentation, and approach throughout. Although the opening course was a little bland, the remaining dishes including an amazing dessert exceeded our expectations. Great evening.

Amazing food that happens to be vegan. The service was outstanding. The setting is in an old townhouse in a traditional setting. The first floor bar though has a very hip vibe. Note that it only has a set menu, which is $80 per person with an optional wine pairing that is $60 per person. The menu changes monthly.

Awesome find for a good time. Great food good atmosphere. I appreciated the slow is smooth, smooth is fast concept in eating dinner with those a want to throw down some serious bling. And they didn't mind us being a little underdressed. Just a couple vegans passing through. After dinner we dropped down to there speakeasy for a couple drinks, bar tender treated us rite, with some sweet raw mixing skills to perfect are desire. Thanks Elizabeth!

Everyone should dine here at least once.

If for no other reason than to experience a multi-course meal so delectable you'll never think of vegan cuisine the same again.

You'll dine in elegant surroundings where each culinary work of art placed in front of you is only rivalled by the exquisite artwork hanging on the walls.

My only regret is not having ordered the wine pairing flight as well. Not a mistake I shall make again.

Elizabeth is a wonderful culinary tour guide and each supporting staff member was without exception, perfect.

Treat yourself to a delightful dining experience including a delicious gourmet dinner, that just happens to be vegan.
