From start to finish everything from the cocktails, food, wine, service, ambiance and decor were all amazing. Such a treat and experience! Wish there could be more places like Elizabeth’s in other cities as they truly set the bar for vegan fine dining for us. Looking forward to our return.

So impressed with EGR! Each dish was delicious and uniquely thought out. Our poor server had difficultly remembering the names and components of each dish, but he was very kind. Will definitely be back!

I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Elizabeth’s Gone raw. The experience started with Elizabeth herself calling to confirm the reservation. This thoughtful touch was really appreciated. We opted for the additional caviar and it may have been the most delicious thing we ate that evening. The food was some of the finest food we’ve had in dc regardless of whether it was plant based or not. Every dish was beautifully plated which only accented the prominent flavors on display in each dish. I complimented Elizabeth on her Kale chips and she even told me I could email her for the recipe! AND She sent me home with a bag. Ive been on a run of going to prixe fixe meals lately that have been impressive in design but left me with this feeling of being trapped and wanting out of the restaurant with an extended dining time. I didn’t have that feeling at all at EGR. From the front staff, the bartender, our servers and Elizabeth -everyone was professional and contributed to a lovely experience. It was money well spent. I don’t know if ever ever left a review but felt compelled to comment on our great time. Thank you !

What an amazing time. The food and wine pairings were delicious. The plating was beautiful. The ambiance was somehow bright and antique at the same time. The caviar was amazing as was everything else just about. The desert left a little to be desired with the papaya sorbet, but was still full of flavor.

I love that this place shows that plant-based foods can absolutely be elevated and flavorful. It was so nice to be able to eat every single thing on the menu and enjoy it with confidence.

Highly recommend, vegan or not!!

My girlfriend and I came here to celebrate our birthdays, and could not have been more impressed. The food and drinks were top notch across the entire pre-fix menu. Every course left us in awe; we didn’t want the meal to end! The kale chips snack for between courses were especially delightful. The portions may look small but they are filling and we left satisfied. It was also extremely special to have the owner herself serve us and tell us personally about every course. We will definitely be back again!

An amazing experience. Food is out of this world, our third time there and each time we get pleasantly surprised with innovation in food preparation and presentation. While it is not a place one goes to every month since the price is on the higher end, it is well worth the visit more than once.

We came to celebrate my best friend’s 50th birthday. From start to finish, this was the best dining experience we’ve all had. Chef Francisco Hernandez has a gift, and Elizabeth was gracious and attentive to us the entire evening. We’re all still daydreaming about the algae oil caviar, the cauliflower mushroom cake, and the vegan cheese board! Heavenly!

My childhood friend is vegan and I like eating healthy . I thought this would be a great place to celebrate her birthday and life . Every dish was delicious and creative . I learned so much about the transformation of the vegetables and ingredients . My waiter was very knowledgeable and I asked a lot of questions about that flavors . What he didn’t know he asked the chef. Also, Elizabeth was a great host. felt like I was eating in her dining room in her home . I left full and satisfied . I plan to go back for next month’s menu .

BEWARE THE SERVICE FEE! We went here for our anniversary on Valentine’s Day. They had their pri fix 6 course menu which was all delicious and presented beautifully. The wine pairing was also perfect. The service was great and everyone was extremely professional and knowledgeable. The staff acted as a team and were all helping each other out which was awesome. The only thing that was upsetting was at the end of the meal they charged a 20% “service fee” which was not explained prior. When we asked about it to the waitress, she replied it was “for the staff so they don’t make $5.50 an hour” which i completely agree with fair wages. The answer was very vague and did not answer if that was the gratuity or if it was expected to leave more. We were unsure if we needed to leave an additional 20% or not for tip. We are all about supporting small businesses always and especially through this time but did not wanted to make sure not to over or under tip or what the expectation was. We thought that expectation to tip 40% of the meal was ridiculous so we added an extra 10% still making the price 30% of our meal, bringing it to well over $400. We were happy to splurge for this event and to pay for the service we received but the vagueness and the unsure expectation of the encounter threw us off. The website is the only place we read about the service fee which we looked at during this time in hopes to get a more definitive answer. On the website it says the fee is to ensure that staff make a fair hourly wage (i support this!) and that gratuity is optional and left to your discretion. Still extremely vague. Due to this, we were frustrated and when asked by our friends how the experience was, we would bring this situation up frequently. Again, everything was wonderful and lovely and delicious, but make sure to understand there is a fee before dining.

If you're vegan or looking for a fine dinning vegan experience, please come to Elizabeth's Gone Raw. Idk how they aren't on the Michelin guide or have a star!

I've been wanting to come here for a while and have recently become vegetarian. As soon as, I saw they had dinner plans for Valentine's Day, I hopped on Open Table and made a reservation (2 weeks in advance ya'll).

There was a prefix 6 course menu ($85 per person) that all guest had to have. In addition there was an a la cart option of caviar and cheese plate (each $40) . On top of that, my boyfriend and I decided to splurge and get the wine pairing too ($40 per person).

So we basically got all the things and started us off with vegan caviar. Like wut? What does that even taste like? Well it was AMAZING and if they ever had a happy hour with this, I would totally get it again. Honestly, I think it was better than "regular" caviar which is hella salty.

I'll add the menu photo below, honestly it was a total experience and you can't go wrong with anything. I do want to mention the oddest thing for me personally was the sauerkraut and celery sorbet but it wasn't that bad lol. Also, the wine pairing was good BUT I think it could of been better in which is truly was paired to go with a specific dish. There were a lot of international wine but it would of been great to see some regional wines as well.

Also, the cheese plate! You could have these either before the meal or before dessert. What a presentation! Honestly, vegan cheese is....interesting to say the least but this was so flavorful! Also, I honestly never liked Brie cheese but this vegan brie cheese was BOMB.

To sum this review up, come and have a true food adventure and be amazed!

Incredible food creativity, quality, presentation. Wow! Nice to have a hello from Elizabeth.
Service is very good, but for some reason, our table was crumbed, but not cleared from alcohol wraps for hours. Also, tea arrived after desserts. No a huge deal, but against everything else so spectacular, this was unpleasant. Is service fee the tip?

Elizabeth’s Gone Raw is an amazing plant based dining experience in DC. Usually I default to a seafood experience, but this dining experience was an awakening to the true creativity that Chef’s can deliver. If you have not had this experience, it is highly recommended.
The venue is elegant. You should be dressed at the minimum in business casual. For men, a tie is recommended (but not necessary) and definitely no jeans! This is an elegant area and a nice night out. Get dressed up and enjoy it! On a side note, plan your parking ahead of time. This is in the downtown area and many garages are not open late or weekends.
I do not drink but it appears to have a nice wine selection. I took advantage of the “Mocktails” with the “What Fauci Said” and “Elbow Bumps”.
You will start off with the Whipped Age Cashew. You will use a nice “small” spoon for the liquid in the cashew and then can work to the outside of the cashew.
Once the cashew has been finished, it is off to the Mustard Green Soup. This is presented in a nice soup dish and is delicious. You can almost feel the cleansing starting in your system!
The portions are great, and at this point you are not completely full, therefore it is time for the Roasted Apple & Caramelized Onion Noodles.
The meal is complemented with some delicioius kale chips!
Now we bring on the Sauerkraut and Celery Sorbet! It is great way to clean the palate before continuing.
Your health kick continues with the delivery of the Lemon Cured Artichoke Heart.
Now it is time for desert, and it wraps up with a nice chocolate dish titled “Trio of Cold Pressed Mandarinquats”. The lemon is carmelized and you can breakt it up over the dish to enjoy. The chocolate is baked into dish. If you don’t like chocolate, you can still eat the outside and pass the chocolate to your significant other.

This is a great experience and thanks to the team for making it a great night!
