Took my girlfriend her for her 25th bday. Could not have asked for a better experience.
The food was astounding and the service stellar. I had some serious nut allergies and Elizabeth herself called me to find out more and work out how to make sure I could enjoy my time there. She worked with the chef to make a special allergy free menu just for me. It was delicious and I also didn’t feel called out about my meal being different from others. It was so nice!
Outstanding experience from the ambience to the service to the food!
It was an amazing experience and I recommend the restaurant to anyone who is raw vegan.
The food was fabulous and the service sublime! We were even lucky enough o meet Elizabeth herself and that was the cherry on the cake! She is absolutely delightful! We will be back again and again everytime the menu changes!
Outstanding meal and a real find in Washington. Highly recommend to omnivores and foodies and everyone in between.
Just simply an amazing group of people...form the service to the back of the house. The chef and their crew is making some amazing items. A wonderful experience with a very dedicated staff.
Great food and service, however there's a 20% "service fee" at the end that doesn't count as gratuity.....
Food was amazing cocktails out of this world, we had a wonderful evening
The food is original and delicious. The ambiance is very nice. It was quiet although the restaurant was full. I highly recommend it!
I live in Austin, Texas but it is my son's and my tradition to go to Elizabeth's gone Raw for dinner every Christmas season. It is unparalleled in the world for quality flavor and ambiance in a Vegan upscale experience. The people are so gracious, it is of a Downton Abbey experience. I love it.
A fabulous presentation of plant-based food. Exquisite.
I have to say, that was the most decadent meal I have ever experienced!
From presentation to full, rich and surprising flavors that simply blew our minds.
And the atmosphere was enchanting and charming. The service impeccable!
It’s way overpriced. Plates are randomly served (second plate felt more like a dessert). Service seems to always be on a rush, still get charged 20% gratuity.
Wonderful experience - food very interesting and delicious. Service wonderful. Had an opportunity to talk with Elizabeth which was so enjoyable !
First time here and loved it. Great experience and evening !
Loved this place. Food was amazing and so was the ambiance and the service. Highly recommend it.
Second visit. My friend and I were here last month and enjoyed it so much we booked again. Not a disappointment in any way. Highly recommend if you enjoy a novel food experience.
Birthday Dinner for my wife
I won't bury the lede here - I'm a little biased because I used to work at Elizabeth's Gone Raw a little more than a year ago. But I moved out of DC and this hasn't been a part of my life for a while. If I had to sum up this meal in one word... WOW! This restaurant has gone from strength to strength and continues to find new and innovative ways to get even better. The marinated cylindra beets is one of the best things I've ever tasted. The wine pairing (and Dora) is such a delight. This restaurant is perfect for a special occasion or if you just feel like treating yourself to something healthy and delicious. Everyone in the DC area should be visiting this restaurant regularly and people from out of town should plan trips to DC just so they can eat here.
Elizabeth's was - yet again - one of (if not most certainly) the best dining experience I've had. One of DC's best-kept secrets, well worth a visit for any special occasion dinner, or even just to the bar for a spectacular cocktail. Inventive dishes, meticulously prepared and plated, elevate dishes beyond anything you might expect, and the service is second to none. Worth every penny and perfect for omnivores and raw vegans alike.
Excellent all across the board.
This restaurant had very correct service and innovative vegetarian dishes. Portions are perfect - enough to allow you to savor, yet not too much. The Sommelière was extremely knowledgeable. The waitstaff was highly skilled. So you may ask why I wouldn't recommend. My table was in the middle of a brightly lit narrow room - more like a hallway. The waitstaff were zooming by me every minute. It was very distracting. The owner appeared very uncomfortable with a solo woman customer. I intentionally went alone to savor - because internalized sexism - I posit. Although I was very comfortable on my own, her discomfort made we wish that they had tucked me in a corner. Many thanks to the kitchen and wait staff for the excellent food and high quality service.
A little pricey, but was an amazing end to end dining experience. Definitely do the wine pairing.
Great experience all around!
As usual a uniquely excellent vegan dining experience.
I have had the pleasure of eating at a number of Michelin star restaurants and since moving toward veganism was afraid the day of fabulous meals were pretty much over. I will have to admit that my meal on Saturday was in the top 3 meals of all time. The service was spectacular. The ambiance was wonderful and the food was beyond Amazing. WOW!!!
I’ve wanted to go to Elizabeth’s for years and am glad I finally made it. It was worth the wait! The food and service was unparalleled and the atmosphere was extremely inviting. I’m well pleased.
Excellent service and food. I would definitely recommend and go back.
I was visiting DC and found this restaurant on Opentable because I needed a vegan friendly restaurant for my friend and boy was this a find. They are only open for dinner reservations on Friday and Saturday night and I was lucky to snag a 5:30 pm slot on a Friday night. The prix fixe menu was probably one of the most well presented and tasteful experiences my fiend and I have had. We took the wine pairing and our meal courses were also accompanied by an excellent selection of fine wines. Loved everything about the meal, the friendly service and the room setting. A highlight of my trip to DC and this will be on my list every time I have the opportunity.
Best Ever! Go!
Brilliant food as always.
Amazing evening! Loved the food and wine pairings. Service was perfect 👌
Absolutely incredible experience. All 7 courses were unique, beautiful, and delicious. You aren’t just getting a meal you are getting an experience. We started with drinks at the bar and were seated shortly thereafter. Our waiter expertly explained each course to us and answered and questions we had. Service was quick, as soon as we finished one course the next was out right after. I am not vegan or vegetarian and was nervous, but was thoroughly impressed (and full). I hope to be back!
The food and service was fabulous and unique. A couple had surprising spiciness, which would have been better to note on the menu, but it was otherwise great. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Wine pairings were a treat and went well with the courses.
One of the most amazing meals I ever had! Also the most beautiful plating ever!
this place is such an upset. the food is unremarkable and the place just leaves you wondering what on earth people who left positive reviews were thinking. a lot of the dishes have some play on curry flavors and really reduce vegan cuisine to just that when there is so much possibility. The place seems to be trying to be super fancy as they do make a big effort to have good presentation and service. There is a set menu ($80 pp + 20% service charge) without any concern for preference or dietary needs. I left having severe acid reflux symptoms because of the tomato water starter (which is honestly gross) combined with some of the other dishes. The almond soup dish was very bland. The dessert was actually fine.
This place is worth every penny. Omg so incredibly creative and delicious.
You’ve never eaten anything like this before — it is a culinary experience that dazzles your tastebuds.
Imagine eating the best kale chips of your life — and that’s just what they offer instead of bread.
The menu changes every 4-6 weeks and each time they come up with spectacular dishes
LOVE LOVE this place.
The service was great and the food was pretty good. The food was very filling despite being vegan and raw.
I am not a vegan and I truly lived all of the food. They do a really great job, it is somewhat expensive for a meatless meal, but there is nothing else like it anywhere in the tristate area so I feel like it is well worth it. Thanks Elizabeth’s, I’ll probably be back next season.
