If we could give more than 5 stars we would. We went to celebrate my mother in laws 70th birthday and they went above and beyond. The food was all delicious but the service was just out of this world. Will be recommending Elizabeth on 37th to everyone I know going to Savannah for years to come!
The food and service were excellent. The atmosphere was perfect for our couples birthday celebration. It was quiet and homey feeling.
Fantastic!!! They took great care of us. The food was exceptional!!!
With the challenges the restaurant industry is facing right now, Elizabeth’s staff was stellar. They worked together flawlessly, took the time to engage with us, and new the menu intimately. Kym and Haley added to our experience.
We chose the tasting menu because there were so many choices we couldn’t decide. Then, of course, we added the wine tasting to go along. A great value. With each glass Kym told us how that particular wine was paired with our plate.
The food had so many layers. Fresh scallops seared perfectly with a butter bean hummus that was creamy and garlicky. Fish with a crab fried rice and a tenderloin that just melted.
We tried to pass on dessert but so glad we didn’t. The Pecan and almond pie was amazing and my husband had the chocolate pecan pie and barely shared.
The only downside was our table wasn’t intimate awkwardly sat on opposite sides of a oblong four top. My husband slid his chair to the side and it worked just fine.
Food, service , and setting were all wonderful.
Family of four and not one thing was not divine. Literally every bite of each meal melted in our mouths. Service was exceptional, seated right on time and the ambiance was filled with Southern Charm. We will be back!
This is now my favorite restaurant in Savannah. Our second time dining here. The staff is so attentive to all guests. The food was amazing. So many delicious seasonings, fresh ingredients, fresh herbs...wish this was located near our home.
Best restaurant in Savannah ! Outstanding old world class!
River clams appetizer knocked us out! a taste sensation!
Food was delicious, wait staff very attentive and knowledgeable. Wonderful experience!
Food was amazing and the service was outstanding.
We enjoyed a fabulous dinner with excellent service. Each course was delicious and served beautifully. From She Crab Soup to the Fruit with Sorbet for dessert, each course was better than the next. This is the best place for an elegant dinner in Savannah!
Kym and Blair took care of us in the best way. Very accommodating and friendly.
The food is the star of this show. We all had fish with seasonal sides and it was one of the finest culinary experiences of our lives.
There was a delightful Amuse Bouche prepared by Blair who is also an amazing Pastry Chef who shared some extra goodies with us.
Haute Cuisine is here and thriving!
We had a great dinner everything was great
A near perfect experience! Attentive but not intrusive service, excellent presentation and composition of food. By the far the best restauant overall in Savannah!
The food is incredible. Service is superb. The owner is actively engaged in the business
Elizabeth’s on 37th is a lovely restaurant in a wonderful southern styled house.
The food and service was top drawer as you would expect.
One note. The rules on “business casual” have relaxed. We saw diners in shorts and in jeans. This is not a criticism and it did not take away from the dining experience. However, it is worth noting for anyone coming in from out of town.
In short, we would recommend this restaurant.
As always, delicious food in a wonderful atmosphere. The service remains way above the norm.
We have been going to Elizabeth's on 37th Street for 20 years. The food and service is outstanding and the only 5 Star restaurant in the surrounding areas. The ambiance is fabulous and we never miss an opportunity to have dinner when in Savannah. A must for all to experience.
My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Elizabeth on 37th on our recent visit to Savannah. We ate at several of the most popular restaurants and this was our favorite by far. Everything was excellent! We did the tasting menu and it was the best we've ever had. I highly recommend it. The owner and his daughter were delightful and so informative. It was fun to hear the history of the restaurant and see the family all working together. (We were the ones asking questions and wanting to know about the restaurant... they did not interrupt our dinner to chat) They were extremely professional and the food came out at just the right time. If you want to go, make a reservation early. I tried to move our dinner up once we were in Savannah and there was absolutely nothing available. We will go back whenever we return to Savannah! It is one of the more upscale restaurants in Savannah. Make sure to book early and have fun! Wish we could join you:)
Wonderful dining experience from the moment you walk in! The waitress was exceptional and the food was awesome! Best dining experience I have had in Savannah!
Wonderful meal. Great place to end our stay in Savannah.
Wonderful spot to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. The food was delicious and staff was friendly and professional. Service was also extremely quick. Can’t wait to go back the next time we are visiting.
Wonderful restaurant Great Service along with a fantastic meal.
Absolutely phenomenal. Best meal you can get in Savannah!
Absolutely the best freshest tasting food. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful.
Excellent presentation- quick response to every need-
Excellent meal and service. I was truly impressed! The beef tenderloin and onion tart were divine. Can’t wait to return.
Nothing on the menu was explained. The staff were ready to go home, cleaning up while we were at our table, which greatly diminished the experience. Just moving cattle to the slaughterhouse. The quicker the better. Expensive, average food, poor service.
We celebrated our Anniversary and it was perfect! Thank you for a love dinner! God bless,
John and Sonja Young
Excellent!!! Best restaurant in Savannah..
Dessert was my favorite! I had the sorbet..the meringue was perfection
Husband had the pork chop, and it was tough and a little overcooked - yummy macaroni accompanied it. We shared a delicious appetizer with scallops over butter bean hummus. I had the flounder with wonderful crab fried rice. Service was great! Sauvignon blanc wine bought by the glass was not chilled enough. Basil martini was fabulous! So, sort of a mixed bag food and drink-wise. The room was not quiet - a larger group dominated the sound waves and diminished our opinion of the restaurant -- they need to think about making changes for room acoustics.
Absolutely delicious food and superb service made our dinner at Elizabeth on 37th the best meal we had in Savannah
The meal was delicious. The setting was divine. Old world feel. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
Wonderful food and service! Even as obvious tourists, our server was very helpful and kind. There is an unofficial dress code of business casual, but you can still wear anything as long as you're comfortable being around other guests who are dressed much nicer.
We enjoyed ourselves immensely at Elizabeth. I would like to caveat that statement with a disclaimer, however: we were originally seated in the side sunroom, and although our bussing attendant was very attentive with the water and biscuits, we had been seated for over fifteen minutes without even being greeted by our waiter. Because of this, the poor table we had been given, and the pricing of the restaurant, we felt comfortable enough to request a different table, which was quickly accommodated.
We were then seated in Michael’s section, who provided us with truly exceptional service that evening. The fish was freshly caught and beautifully cooked, and we were served several amuse-bouches, which were greatly enjoyed.
I would absolutely return and recommend to friends. I just would request Michael next time.
Food was excellent, Service was excellent and the atmosphere was excellent. Servers were very knowledgeable on the wine list and very helpful. We had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners "Gary" which was one of the highlights of the night. Cant wait to return.
This was a b’day celebration. Wonderful food service and ambience. Highly recommend!
