Elizabeth’s on 37th is a lovely restaurant in a wonderful southern styled house.
The food and service was top drawer as you would expect.
One note. The rules on “business casual” have relaxed. We saw diners in shorts and in jeans. This is not a criticism and it did not take away from the dining experience. However, it is worth noting for anyone coming in from out of town.
In short, we would recommend this restaurant.
As always, delicious food in a wonderful atmosphere. The service remains way above the norm.
We have been going to Elizabeth's on 37th Street for 20 years. The food and service is outstanding and the only 5 Star restaurant in the surrounding areas. The ambiance is fabulous and we never miss an opportunity to have dinner when in Savannah. A must for all to experience.
Wonderful dining experience from the moment you walk in! The waitress was exceptional and the food was awesome! Best dining experience I have had in Savannah!
Wonderful meal. Great place to end our stay in Savannah.
Wonderful restaurant Great Service along with a fantastic meal.
Absolutely phenomenal. Best meal you can get in Savannah!
Absolutely the best freshest tasting food. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful.
Excellent presentation- quick response to every need-
Excellent meal and service. I was truly impressed! The beef tenderloin and onion tart were divine. Can’t wait to return.
Nothing on the menu was explained. The staff were ready to go home, cleaning up while we were at our table, which greatly diminished the experience. Just moving cattle to the slaughterhouse. The quicker the better. Expensive, average food, poor service.
We celebrated our Anniversary and it was perfect! Thank you for a love dinner! God bless,
John and Sonja Young
Excellent!!! Best restaurant in Savannah..
Dessert was my favorite! I had the sorbet..the meringue was perfection
Husband had the pork chop, and it was tough and a little overcooked - yummy macaroni accompanied it. We shared a delicious appetizer with scallops over butter bean hummus. I had the flounder with wonderful crab fried rice. Service was great! Sauvignon blanc wine bought by the glass was not chilled enough. Basil martini was fabulous! So, sort of a mixed bag food and drink-wise. The room was not quiet - a larger group dominated the sound waves and diminished our opinion of the restaurant -- they need to think about making changes for room acoustics.
Absolutely delicious food and superb service made our dinner at Elizabeth on 37th the best meal we had in Savannah
The meal was delicious. The setting was divine. Old world feel. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
Wonderful food and service! Even as obvious tourists, our server was very helpful and kind. There is an unofficial dress code of business casual, but you can still wear anything as long as you're comfortable being around other guests who are dressed much nicer.
We enjoyed ourselves immensely at Elizabeth. I would like to caveat that statement with a disclaimer, however: we were originally seated in the side sunroom, and although our bussing attendant was very attentive with the water and biscuits, we had been seated for over fifteen minutes without even being greeted by our waiter. Because of this, the poor table we had been given, and the pricing of the restaurant, we felt comfortable enough to request a different table, which was quickly accommodated.
We were then seated in Michael’s section, who provided us with truly exceptional service that evening. The fish was freshly caught and beautifully cooked, and we were served several amuse-bouches, which were greatly enjoyed.
I would absolutely return and recommend to friends. I just would request Michael next time.
Food was excellent, Service was excellent and the atmosphere was excellent. Servers were very knowledgeable on the wine list and very helpful. We had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners "Gary" which was one of the highlights of the night. Cant wait to return.
This was a b’day celebration. Wonderful food service and ambience. Highly recommend!
Beautiful setting; the waiters Greg and Jaimey were so thoughtful in everything they did to make our experience top notch. They gave great recommendations, we got to hear the history of the house, and we ended up with a free desert because of a mistake on their end- we couldn't believe the generosity! The food was incredible; they even gave us little tastes from the kitchen prior to any of our food being brought out.
It was the perfect Savannah evening!
My favorite special occasion restaurant. Consistent delicious food and great service. More locals than tourists.
Elizabeth’s is beautiful and the food was simply amazing. What pushed out experience over the top was that the owner waited on us and made sure we had a phenomenal experience. He shared his passion of doing charitable work with the Dali lama, and that was what was most important to him. An amazing man, am amazing dining experience.
What a great experience from start to finish! I messed up the reservation and made it a week later than I wanted but the host didn’t bat an eye and not only accommodated but sat us in a beautiful banquette. The crab cake, flounder, and seafood with rice were all delicious and portions so generous we couldn’t finish. Our server was knowledgeable and professional. We will definitely be back!
We enjoyed celebrating our son’s college graduation with a delicious meal at Elizabeth’s. The waiter and bus boy were very attentive. Everything we ordered was exceptional. Highly recommend!
Great Food, Atmosphere, and Service. Our waiter was on the ball and knew about all aspects of the restaurant. The menu is not very large but everything we ordered was presented very nicely and tasted great. The only complaint was they have a high corkage fee. Since you cannot view their wine list online I brought my own. The $50 corkage still made mine a value. They do have a large selection of good wines available at reasonable prices. I would go again.
Wonderful evening of dining - ambience lovely and the food and service was outstanding.
We liked the restaurant ,but the credit card requirement to secure our reservations puts a higher expectation of standards and I really didn’t see where that was necessary.
We went here on the last night of our honeymoon and it was perfect! The American red snapper and low country flounder and shrimp were some of the best dishes we had in Savannah and the service was unparalleled. Gorgeous restaurant too!
This was our first visit and we were not disappointed! From the service to our meals, everything was excellent. The food was very flavourful. While a bit pricey, we would highly recommend Elizabeth's when visiting Savannah for that special night out.
We asked for recommendations. We got the two recommended by our server. We were very disappointed. However, We did like the clam appetizers. We were basically abandoned by our server but luckily, a server named Michael took over and although we weren’t happy with our food, he was very friendly and kept our glasses full. He at least made our bust of a meal enjoyable with his friendly attitude. I recommend if you want fine dining and want food worth the price, choose one of the other restaurants Savannah has to offer.
Excellent food, service, and ambiance. Would highly recommend this restaurant if traveling to the area.
My husband and i went here last night and we both loved it!!!! Service was impeccable and the food was soooo delicious!!!! It was everything we hoped it would be. Pricey....yes...but so worth it. My husband had the pork chop and he said it was the thickest pork chop he had ever had. He loved his entire dish. I Had the flounder and it was the best tasting fish I had ever had!!!!! Just so delicious!!! We also had the lump crab soup which was very good and chocolate pecan torte for dessert which was heavenly!!! We highly recommend for a special evening Elizabeth on 37th!!!!!
We had the tasting menu with the wine paring. The food and service was exceptional! Would definitely go again next time we were in Savannah. It’s a tad pricey for everyday, but worth it for a special occasion.
As always the food, wine, impeccable service and hospitality by owners Greg and Gary are second to none in Savannah. Looking forward to my next visit to Savannah and Elizabeth on 37th in June!
Anything from the menu is great. We enjoyed all courses.
From start to finish everything was perfect.
