Elizabeth of Portofino's
Elizabeth's Portofino is a place you can come casually dressed and be seated in the cafe, or you can be seated in the elegant dining room which is filled with flowers and candlelit tables. Both share the aroma of the kitchen which is serving hearty ethnic Italian dishes and light fare as well. You can't pass up the roasted garlic served with warm bread and extra virgin olive oil brought to every table. Also, in the warmer weather, come check out the outdoor patio overlooking the cranberry pond. You can order from the regular menu or the bistro menu in all three dining rooms. Come see the old meet the new. Elizabeth of Portofino's is here to stay.
Everything is always delicious and the service is excellent. Highly recommend!
Excellent prices, food and service. Very friendly. They were very accommodating
Veal parm excellent! Service great. Great night overall
The atmosphere is relaxing and the food was excellent.
The food is great and the service is fantastic!!!!
Everything was wonderful! Will definitely return!!
Great meal and great service, thanks! And of course, always good to see Liz 😊
Consistent go to for me. Excellent food and service. They make you feel as if you are a welcomed house guest.
Unfortunately the overall temperature of our meal was cold. Our arrancini appetizer was cold and the rice in the inside was overcooked. For our entrees, stuffed sole and veal, nothing was hot. The food was luke warm at best. The rice pilaf that was served you could tell was out of a box. The mashed potatoes with the veal were cold and were lacking flavor. Nice looking place and decorated very well. Sadly I wouldn’t rush back the food
our family was celebrating a new job offering, the food and service were beyond expectations, thank you
Excellent, as always! Our server, Justin, was attentive, knowledgeable and prompt! The food was perfect and everything was timed well from the appetizers and drinks to the entrees and dessert! Well worth a visit. Enjoy!
My husband and I shared a Caesar salad and he chose the lasagna and even though it wasn't on the menu the kitchen put together a plate of eggplant parmesan. Both were delish ~ hubs ate all of his; I took home leftovers. We go here often ~ mostly in the warm weather when you can eat at their outdoor patio that overlooks a pond. Very peaceful.
We celebrated my friends bday. We had a great time. She had never been there. The food was excellent. The service was great! She thoroughly enjoyed herself and her bday! Thank you so much for making it special
Absolutely delicious meal! Waiter was great, atmosphere was great, drinks were great, too! Would highly recommend it! They even gave us all a complimentary shot of limoncello at the end of our meal! We will definitely be going back!
Love this place, atmosphere is great and the food and staff are great!
Food was excellent and Justin our waiter was outstanding
The food was very good. Our waiter was good but over worked. He had to cover about 8 tables alone. He took all the orders, delivered the food and tried to keep up with refilling everyone's water, etc... That is way too much for one person. As a result service slipped. Why did management not see this, it was right in front of their eyes!?!?
We had reservations for 7:30 and were seated on time. We were served water as we waited for 20 minutes before anyone came to the table. At 7:50 we decided to leave because of the lack of service and the horrible service!!!! We were ignored by the entire staff as we waited patiently for service!!!! Worst service ever! This was my favorite restaurant but I think you don’t deserve my business anymore because of being treated horribly by your entire wait staff including the hostess who sat us at our table and continuously walked by the table and never said anything..... it was like... it is okay to ignore guests who enter your restaurant for dinner!???
The worst service and experience ever!!! Will not return ever again!!!
Hidden gem in Warwick, Chef does a great job, staff is attentive and welcoming.
It was a wonderful dinner. The food and service were excellent!
This restaurant offered us a perfect night out. Our table location was by a window in the corner and our reservation was honored at the correct time. The wine selection was varied and the prices were very reasonable. The old fashion mixed drinks were strong and served in a full glass. My penne Alfredo was perfectly prepared and not too buttery or oily...excellent! My husband's lasagna was thick, hearty, and served in generous portion. The red sauce was home made and the chicken parmigania was nicely cooked. The dessert menu has many options are all of them were priced at $7.95. The four of us split a liquor flavored cheesecake. We had such a wonderful time and we'll certainly return with our "$10 off" voucher that was given to us for a return visit!
After a fun day of glass blowing in Providence we decided to head south and dine at Portofino. We were early for our reservation and seated right away. The atmosphere is very cozy with plenty of space between the tables for privacy.
We started with the Beans and Greens appetizer, which sounds very basic, beans, prosciutto and rabe with charred crustini. This is definitely comfort food and very authentic to what you would find in Italy. I saw this app come out of the kitchen a lot so certainly a popular dish. For dinner I chose the sausage and rabe, which had layers of flavor and was really delicious. My wife had the Sole Florentine special and she loved it as well.
Before the appetizers arrived a head of roasted garlic and warm bread were brought over, you had the option of butter or olive oil dipping to go with the bread. We chose the EVOO of course.
For drinks my wife had an Aperol Spritz, which she said brought her back to Venice. I had the Montepulciano by the glass, which at $9.00 was a bargain and sooo smooth.
We skipped desert as we were full, but I had a cup of decaf coffee which was surprisingly good.
The wait staff were very good and not obtrusive in any way.
I found the prices to be very reasonable and the food and atmosphere to be excellent. We will definitely be going back to Portofino's soon!
Once again, another fabulous meal at Portofino. Elizabeth and her staff never fail to deliver a consistent product, great service and a welcoming atmosphere. I can't wait for another delicious meal.
Four of us dined at Elizabeth Portofino's Saturday night and it was just perfect! My friend and I .the Stuffed fillet of Sole, very very good, one husband had the Bolognese, loved it and my husband had the Lobster special of the night which he loved. I would recommend Elizabeth's because the atmosphere is so nice, the food is excellent and she makes you feel welcomed. We had a great night!
Excellent food, excellent service. All around service perfection!
Always had a good experience there except for the last time. The parking was turned to half valet parking and half self-park area. The valet was extremely rude despite my having a handicapped placard. The management handled the situation by having my car parked and the key returned back to me. Not even a dime for rude staff! The food was very good and the ambiance highly enjoyable.
Love this place for business dinners! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and you never feel rushed.
As repeat customers, we know the food is always enjoyable. The restaurant expanded, and we were seated in the new section where the heating was inadequate and either we froze or sweated. The server was either just not nice or super busy, but either way she was very inattentive and we were left wanting. Several drink refills requests went unanswered, table was overloaded with uncleared dirty plates.
One dish was a pasta dish . It did not mention pasta in the description
Everyone enjoy their meals, specialty cocktails and yummy desserts!..
A totally positive experience, we'll be back for more ;-)
Such a great little spot! Food was fantastic, ambiance was just right.
It was great that the owner stopped at the table to ensure that we enjoyed our meals and stopped again as we were leaving and talked about her family photos located on a small table.
Excellent recommend it to all
I would only recommend choosing a different type of piped-in music. It was current pop-rock, Rihanna etc. It really clashed with the atmosphere of the dining room area. We had to request that the volume be lowered as well as not liking the type of music. Soft rock, instrumental, classical, Italian-themed music (even Tony Bennett or Frank Sinatra) would be MUCH better suited.
One of our favorites. Two for $43.95 with bottle of wine is a great deal. Love the roasted garlic served with bread, freshly grated cheese and olive oil. Will definitely be back.
A perennial favorite. Turned out to be restaurant week which we took advantage of. Everything was great as usual.
Everything was very good with the exception of the prime rib. I was expecting an actual rib or thick slice of meat but instead I got a thin, tough piece of meat that was more like pot roast. I think staff should let guests know it’s not an actual rib as we know it. I didn’t send it back bc it looked like it was cooked medium but didn’t realize it was tough until I started eating it.
The food was fantastic! Ambiance was on point. Our server Brendan was wonderful!
