About Elizabeth of Portofino's
Portofino's restaurant, located at 897 Post Road in Warwick, Rhode Island, has been an institution in Rhode Island for the last 25 years.
Elizabeth's Portofino is a place you can come casually dressed and be seated in the cafe, or you can be seated in the elegant dining room which is filled with flowers and candlelit tables. Both share the aroma of the kitchen which is serving hearty ethnic Italian dishes and light fare as well. You can't pass up the roasted garlic served with warm bread and extra virgin olive oil brought to every table. Also, in the warmer weather, come check out the outdoor patio overlooking the cranberry pond. You can order from the regular menu or the bistro menu in all three dining rooms. Come see the old meet the new. Elizabeth of Portofino's is here to stay.

Elizabeth of Portofino's Ratings and Reviews
Never disappointed here. On a wintry, cold night the beef barley soup was perfect. The bread served with Olive oil and a head of roasted garlic is a nice touch. My wife and I both ordered veal, she had Parmesan, (half of hers came home, generous portion) I had Marsala...More than enough and very tender. Our server, Kelly was on top of things without hovering...Only downside was it was a bit loud because of some large XMAS parties...No big deal...We shall return.
I have been wanted to try this restaurant for ages and it didn't disappoint. It actually exceeded my expectations. I reviewed what turned out to be an older menu prior to going, due to dietary restrictions. When the owner realized the situation she went ABOVE and beyond to accommodate me with making me feel embarrassed or problematic. She's a rockstar! Everything that was put in front of us was delicious and I am looking forward to returning soon!
The ambiance is lovely, the service is friendly and warm. The food was average (the Tuscan mushroom appetizer had little flavor and my baked stuffed shrimp was dry) and our dessert to go was disappointing — A slice of key lime pie was $7.95 and was the tiniest little sliver and didn’t taste fresh.
One of best restaurants in RI-every aspect of the experience from being greeted to finishing the meal with one of their fabulous desserts is done with personalized details. Above and beyond the quality food choices is the always excellent service either at bar or in beautiful dining room -not to mention personal table visits by the owner herself!
Newest menu addition is a bone in 16 oz Prime Rib with more flavor than you can imagine-a must try!
Was staying in Providence in preparation for a flight. Found this place on Open Table. It was close by and we were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The menu included a nice listing of old favorites and new. The prices were reasonable for the quality of food and the service. If I happen to be in Providence (Warwick) again, I would definitely return.
As usual, Elizabeth's Portofino Restaurant delivered the goods. The service was attentive, but not intrusive. The greeting we had from the hostess (Elizabeth) was warm and just the right kind of familiar. The food was outstanding, which is par for the course here. It may seem a stretch to say this, but Elizabeth's Portofino is about the best neighborhood restaurant anywhere.
My wife and I celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary this night and the food and service was wonderful. Our server was delightful and made us feel special. We especially enjoyed the complimentary strawberry champagne at the end of the meal. We had a very nice experience.
Love Elizabeth's!! Husband and I went Saturday night 10/27/17. He had the seafood over Linguine and I had the stuffed fillet of sole. Best I've ever had!!! We enjoyed ourselves in the newly painted room with new chairs and overhead lamps. Which were gorgeous! This is such a nice place to go out on a date and my husband and I have been going out for over 30 years for a Saturday night date. This Elizabeth's Portofino is wonderful!
Always loved this restaurant, then they changed things in 2014 and we have not been back since then. So glad we went. The food is delicious, the prices are good. The menu is not overbearing. The complimetary lemon cello is such a treat. The staff is very professional.
A surprise! My wife found it on open table. Nothing fancy from the outside. Inside is cute, and the outside deck is great! Nice fire pit. Food was excellent! My swordfish picata was great. All the deserts on the menu were enticing. We used to get brownie Sunday's when we started dating, so we had that and it was exquisite.
This was our first time to Elizabeth of Portofino's. We were a group of 4 people. Everyone was extremely please with their food choices. I had the swordfish special which was cooked perfectly. I thought the prices were reasonable and will definitely go back.
This was our second time at Elizabeth's and we were not as impresed as we were with our first visit...the menu seemed to have been pared-down some...not as many choices as I remembered from our first time, and not as exciting a menu (spaghetti & meatballs? Really??? Lasagna? I can make those at home...). Also, I found out that even with our early 6pm reservation, they had already run out of 1 of 2 specials...Our server seemed surprised when telling us that they had already gone through the 6 servings of that meal.... it's a Saturday night, you have a special dish on the menu, and you only have 6 servings?? Some special! That's poor planning... Portions were on the small size. Tiramisu desserts were delicious. Our server was pleasant and very attentive, though...we may give it one more try, but we won't be running back...too bad...it had potential with us 😕
One of my favorite places to eat in Rhode Island! I have eaten here about 6 times in the past year, first heard about this place on the TV show "TV Matride" on Sunday mornings, had to try it. To start it off, baked whole garlic bulbs are served warm with olive oil, grated cheese, and fresh bread. I have joked it on more than one occasion, I could just eat the garlic / bread along with some wine and I would be very content! Decent wine list, great appetizers, and a good sized menu. I tend to get the specials, but have also ordered off the main menu. All dishes are prepared fresh, portions are generous. Service has always been great for me here, they really go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy your dining experience. Every meal ends with a round of complimentary / self-made lemonciello, nice way to end the meal. Valet parking available on the weekends, I usually just park my own vehicle but if its busy and the lot is full I use the valet. Small place, if I had to guess it holds around 50 / 60 people, nice ambiance, nice décor. Noise level varies, I have been there when its very quiet, but have never experienced anything louder than minor noisiness when its busy and there's many people there. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed!
