Excellent service from our waiter Justin and the owner.
They serve a delicious complimentary roasted head of garlic with olive oil, parm chs, and bread.
The chicken Luigi was a giant portion and really delicious. The veal Portofino had excellent flavor but was a really small serving for the price.
my husband and I split the two entrees, so it worked out perfectly. (Had I just gotten the veal by myself I might have still been hungry.)
They had some descently priced bottles of wine as well! We will definitely return!
We went there for my husband's birthday. We had frequented this restaurant 25 years ago under different owners. It has build upon the existing business. It was very relaxing, the ambiance was great with low lighting, and quiet conversation. I ordered the scallop special and it was delicious. My husband ordered the chicken parm and said it was delicious. The service was attentive. The
What a wonderful place! Comfortable and inviting...it's like your dining with family! The Veal Portofino was incredible and the complimentary pizzelle and limoncello after dinner made this my new favorite place!
Service was excellent! Chicken Luigi is delicious. Bread with fresh roasted garlic is amazing. Restaurant was extremely clean. Can’t wait to go back!
Delicious as usual. Love the new decor.
We have dined at Elizabeth’s Of Portofino’s a number of times and the food is always wonderful. We appreciate the gluten free options and the professionalism of the waitstaff.
The staff and food was great as always. Will definitely be back
My wife and I love this place it is truly a neighborhood gem.
Great ambiance. Food reasonably priced. Nice touches such a oil, grated cheese and roasted garlic dip for bread. End of meal cordial was a very nice touch.
Pulled into Parking Lot and was greeted by Valet. Free Valet.. Got car quickly after dinner, no issues with that aspect. Walked in and was seated right away with reservations. Server came over quickly, given bread and water... drinks came out quick. GREAT RED SANGRIA!! HIGHLY SUGGEST!!! Got the Calamari.. light and airy.. very good. Also got the Risotta Balls which were fantastic as well.
Order dinner... Very busy Saturday Night... took close to 50 mins from time of ordering to when food arrived... between cocktails and apps wasn't even full by then. Table ordered Lobster Rav, Grilled Salmon, 12 oz Steak and Chicken Parm. Portions were decent size, not too big, not too small. Everything came out perfect except for the Chicken Parm that was lukewarm by the time it hit the table. Granted it was probably done well before the 12 oz steak and sat under a heat lamp so is what it is... Owner made it up to us by removing from tab and offering another dish in the place of it... Wife chose to get more Risotta Balls because they were soooo good!!!
Only our 2nd time there and we would return again... Love the atmosphere... Our Service was great... wait times is expected when every table is packed and even though we sent a dish back it was made right by the Owner without any hesitation. They offer half price apps during happy hour at the bar..definitely something to check out.
Great place to celebrate with family and friends. The portions were large and a great value for the $. Everyone on the staff was pleasant and friendly. AND Key Lime Pie was on the dessert menu! A definite plus for me.
Definitely coming back again.
We've been to this restaurant numerous times and were really happy with our dinners. My husband and I shared a Caesar salad ordered two glasses of wine. My husband chose the salmon with pesto (rice & string bean) while I chose the chicken/eggplant plate with pasta. By far, my dish was better, enough to take home. When we reheated my leftovers it was obvious that the 'chicken' was a prepacked deal. It still tasted good but.....On the other hand, my husband's salmon definitely sat under a heat lamp as it was dry dry dry. As was the rice. The string beans were ok. Now all of this could have been corrected had our server had once stopped to see how things were going. Not once. A little butter might have made the rice palatable. The restaurant was packed - Saturday night. But all in all disappointed.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant. We have been there several times and our meals have always been outstanding.
To be honest, the place exceeded our expectations. We never been there before. The food was good, service was good, atmosphere was quiet. We enjoyed it! Will be back.
Very nice ambience. Relatively small so noise level was low. Reservations recommended on special occasions.
Thought it was ok. Definetly have had better there in the past. And maybe this time was a bit pricy
Our first time, we will be back again for sure.
The service top notch, food was excellent, price very reasonable.
First time and didn't know what to expect. Quaint little spot with valet. Everyone was super attentive and the service was great. Had the Tuscan sausage pasta which was really good and ended with the N.Y. cheeseake...yum!!
If you are celebrating an anniversary or birthday, do it here. They are so accommodating and kind. They brought two different deserts and Lemon Cello shots to the table for the entire group. Really impressive that they go above and beyond for free. The food is consistently delicious--you can't go wrong here!
This was our first visit and we plan to make this one of our regular spots.
I am hard to impress, I travel for a living and eat all over the country/world. My daughter wanted to eat Italian food so I rolled my eyes and went with her to Elizabeth
's of Portofino. Now let me explain I have eaten Italian food on Arthur Ave in the Bronx, the North End of Boston, Venice and Rome just to name a few. I am not bragging I'm trying to explain what I base my review on. I ordered the Meatball appetizer which was 8 oz and stuffed with ricotta cheese , my entree was mushroom ravioli with chicken spinach and mozzarella in a truffle sauce. The only thing I was rolling when I was done were my taste buds. This was some of the best food I have eaten in a long time. I would absolutely go back bravo Portofino's.
always a pleasant experience.. good choices on the menu..
never disappointed.. Great Desserts too :-)
We love the fact that Porto is right down the street from our house, and that we can go out to a nice place right on Post Rd. It is always either a hit or miss. The menu is great, and if the food comes out when it is ready... it is a good experience. We went on a Friday Night (it was restaurant week, so more busy than normal, I was a waitress for 5 years- so i get it), but the service was awful. The table that was right next to us, sat down 20 minutes after us, was served our appetizers that we had been waiting a half hour for. Our dinner then took extremely long to come out, and when it did, you could tell it was sitting under the heater for a while (fish had grown a hard crust). We are quick, we like to come in, enjoy, and leave, and we were there for over 2 hours. On a positive note--- sangria is always delicious!
Took some friends here for dinner, made reservations for 7:30, got seated right away, we all enjoyed our dinner, nothing left on our plates.... our waitress was very sociable ,,never felt rushed, haven't been here in years, don't know why will be back real soon ,thank you for a wonderful evening.
Had a very good experience. Went during restaurant week, though it had been on my bucket list for while. Excellent choices, just the right portions. Would definitely go again and recommend to others. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere with good attentive service.
Our group was seated at the time of the reservation. Service and our dinners were excellent. A great night out.
I went to this restaurant during restaurant week. Service and meal was excellent . Would definitely return.
A little outdated, but the BEST meatballs I've ever had. Our waiter was great but then forgot about us a bit by the end. Overall I would go back
Once again Elizabeth's does not disappoint. Everything including the valet, hostess, server and food surpassed out expectations. Our party truly enjoyed celebrating here.
Elizabeth of Portofino's is a great place for a fancy meal or a light snack or just a well made drink. I have dined at Elizabeth of Portofino's several times and have never had a bad experience. Elizabeth has done a fine job making this a place you will not regret visiting.
The atmosphere is very nice. It is inviting inside and greeted immediately upon arrival. Service was very good. Food was very good; however, my veal was overcooked, but it still was tasty. I definitely will return.
Wonderful food and excellent service. Love the atmosphere. Great little spot!
Food was good not exceptional. Their special for dinner for 2 is very affordable and it included a bottle of wine. Note: that menu is limited. All in all I will visit again hpwever would not order the Fettucini Alfredo again as it was too thick for my taste, pasty like. Most of our party had fish and all said theirs was delicious. The staff gave us complimentary liquor after our meal. Fresh coffee, split a scrumptious chocolate lava cake and eent home satiated.
Excellent value restaurant. Lastly yhe service was excellent. Try them.
Never disappointed here. On a wintry, cold night the beef barley soup was perfect. The bread served with Olive oil and a head of roasted garlic is a nice touch. My wife and I both ordered veal, she had Parmesan, (half of hers came home, generous portion) I had Marsala...More than enough and very tender. Our server, Kelly was on top of things without hovering...Only downside was it was a bit loud because of some large XMAS parties...No big deal...We shall return.
Brendon was great again. Food great, we are regulars when at PVD.
I have been wanted to try this restaurant for ages and it didn't disappoint. It actually exceeded my expectations. I reviewed what turned out to be an older menu prior to going, due to dietary restrictions. When the owner realized the situation she went ABOVE and beyond to accommodate me with making me feel embarrassed or problematic. She's a rockstar! Everything that was put in front of us was delicious and I am looking forward to returning soon!
The ambiance is lovely, the service is friendly and warm. The food was average (the Tuscan mushroom appetizer had little flavor and my baked stuffed shrimp was dry) and our dessert to go was disappointing — A slice of key lime pie was $7.95 and was the tiniest little sliver and didn’t taste fresh.
Not thrilled with the amount of food for the price. The atmosphere was nice and the service was good. Overall just OK.
Lovely atmosphere, hot delicious food, great friendly service ! Always a nice touch here as they serve a warmed garlic bulb over a flame for the bread and lemoncello for the finish ! Fantastic dinner
Really enjoyed a recent visit. Food was great, and service was very attentive.
