Elizabeth of Portofino's
Elizabeth's Portofino is a place you can come casually dressed and be seated in the cafe, or you can be seated in the elegant dining room which is filled with flowers and candlelit tables. Both share the aroma of the kitchen which is serving hearty ethnic Italian dishes and light fare as well. You can't pass up the roasted garlic served with warm bread and extra virgin olive oil brought to every table. Also, in the warmer weather, come check out the outdoor patio overlooking the cranberry pond. You can order from the regular menu or the bistro menu in all three dining rooms. Come see the old meet the new. Elizabeth of Portofino's is here to stay.
Great food, always a great experience at Elizabeth’s!!!
Love this place consistently! Amazing service and food and great comfortable ambience!
We were very lucky to get in on a slower evening so we were one of two tables in one of the dining rooms. The ambiance was perfect. The food and service were great. A very nice find for our quick one night in the Providence area. Would definitely go back if in the area again!
Let me start by saying I have been to Portofino in the past and it was great. But Me and the woman I am dating went there for dinner on 7/1/2018 and I was embarrassed To day I like the place .To start the waiter was horrible he was very sloppy Looking could not remember the specials and had to stop and run in the back 2 times he did not give us any time between apps and dinner could not find him to get another drink and it was not busy at all . And another thing where we where sitting there was black mold from a leak I am a contractor and mold certified so I do pick up on things like that fast .
Elizabeth's is our go-to restaurant ~ especially in the warmer months because we enjoy the deck top eating area.
the food , service & staff were great, it is a relaxing night out
I was under the impression that the veal portofino would be piece of rolled veal with the prosciutto , tomatoes etc rolled into it. Instead it appeared to be e veal sausage . Taste was good, but couldn't differentiate other ingredients. Would not have ordered it knowing this. Would have had another veal dish which are normally very good.
Very good value and quality
Would highly recommend this place to others
Will definitely be going back
Wonderful dinner with family from out of town. Our server, Justin, was very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Couldn’t ask for better service. Food was delishious.
This was my first visit. The food was great. I will be going back.
Love being out on a patio for dinner.
This patio could be better with a little help. More plant and get rid of that empty shelf. Lights are nice and view is pretty good. Straighten out plant hangers. A little TLC will make it beautiful. We really do like this place.
Husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Elizabeth's Portofino. I got the stuffed fillet of sole and husband got the lobster ravioli. My meal was not hot so my waitress brought it back to the kitchen to heat it up and it came back perfectly. Just a little snag, it's always wonderful there. We enjoyed our meals and split a Phillip's brownie w/ice cream. Delicious. A great night and we'll certainly be back again!!!!
After taking our order, the waiter brought warm bread, olive oil with cheese & pepper and an entire bulb of roasted garlic. Mmmm good! Our meals (Salmon tip special & Veal Francese) were terrific. We started with calamari and were too full for dessert. Waiter was very attentive and helpful but not pushy or rushing.
Service was excellent! Food was amazing! I Have recommended this restaurant to everyone. Cannot wait to go back!
We could not have had a better waiter! He was fantastic with our group, very personable and funny. My party all enjoyed their meal, drinks were great and dessert too. I would definitely go back and have already told others at work to go.
Food was delicious and the service was outstanding.i will deffinetly be back.
Elizabeth of Portofino was an amazing find. We went there for a date night and fell in love with this restaurant. The food was delicious and the people were very friendly. The owner even came and introduced herself. My wife and I found a new favorite restaurant.
4 of us made a reservation and headed out to Elizabeth's Portofino for dinner Saturday night. We were sited promptly at a nice table. Service was good, food was outstanding. I've been going there for a few years now, but as of late visits the food is just over the top. All 4 of us had different dishes and all agreed it was awesome. Nice touch is the garlic w/nice Italian bread and oil, cheese and red pepper flakes if you want. Limonchello is a nice after dinner drink that is provided as an added touch. Elizabeth and her daughter are very nice people who make you feel welcomed and answer any questions you might have. I am going to frequent this place more, it was that good!
The waitress seemed disappointed that we were not ordering drinks. Overall it was an ok experience.
Great service. Attentive staff from the hostess (owner’s daughter) to the waiter and assistant (freshly grated cheese, pepper etc) Noticeably family operated. Unique food- example the herbed infused squeezed ricotta on the Italian nachos. Stuffed mushrooms are packed with flavor. And of course, the house made complimentary generous sample of limencello:)
We were staying at a hotel locally, and we asked for a dinner recommendation. They recommended Elizabeth's. We sat on the back deck, and we had a nice view and a pleasant night. The service was outstanding, and the waitress had a great recommendation for my meal. There were three of us, and all three of us had an excellent meal. I would recommend Elizabeth's to anyone in the area. We've been traveling to the area for two years while our son was in graduate school, I wish we would have known about it before. We will most likely never be back in the area, so this was probably our only chance to dine there.
Lovely evening sitting out on the patio. Customer service and food was excellent.
Hubby and I went to Elizabeth's for Mother's Day. We had a fantastic meal, and a great table, which come to find out is Elizabeth's table. So comfy with pillow on the chair. We loved where we sat. But loved the food even more. This isn't the first time as we've been there many times before. I had Stuffed Fillet of sole and husband had veal and peas which he said was outstanding. We had wine and split a dessert. Nice touch is that they give you a shot of limonchello at the end of the meal. One of my favorite spots to go. Also our waitress who is the owner's beautiful daughter waited on us and did a awesome job.
Mother's Day dinner. I made a reservation and was seated on time, great friendly service and the food was amazing!!!
Wonderful as usual. This place is a hidden gem. Elizabeth has done a beautiful job updating the look. Service and good was delicious! Never a disappointment!
Good service and food. We were put in a back room, which was a bit noisy because of large parties and small children. As I had made an advance reservation, I would have preferred to be in one of the main dining rooms which are much nicer and quieter.
Great food as always. Nice specials and good drinks.
For some reason we had not been to Portofino for several years. The restaurant is very attractive , although the tables are a little close together. The service and staff were fantastic. Nicole was very nice and attentive. The food was very good. The chicken parm was the best we have ever had. The calamari was ideal. The marinara sauce was the best we have ever tasted. Can't wait to go back for more chicken parm. Cooked perfectly. Prices were just right as well.
Excellent all they way around! Highly recommend this restaurant.
Went here for my daughter's birthday and had a very nice meal. We had a group that included one vegetarian and his request for an alteration to a menu item was made without any problem at all. I did not mention we were celebrating a birthday when making the reservation, but the waiter heard me say I wished I'd brought a candle for her dessert and was kind enough to bring us one, which was really thoughtful.
Always wonderful everything at Portofino’s. The food is delicious, the service excellent.
Excellent service from our waiter Justin and the owner.
They serve a delicious complimentary roasted head of garlic with olive oil, parm chs, and bread.
The chicken Luigi was a giant portion and really delicious. The veal Portofino had excellent flavor but was a really small serving for the price.
my husband and I split the two entrees, so it worked out perfectly. (Had I just gotten the veal by myself I might have still been hungry.)
They had some descently priced bottles of wine as well! We will definitely return!
We went there for my husband's birthday. We had frequented this restaurant 25 years ago under different owners. It has build upon the existing business. It was very relaxing, the ambiance was great with low lighting, and quiet conversation. I ordered the scallop special and it was delicious. My husband ordered the chicken parm and said it was delicious. The service was attentive. The
What a wonderful place! Comfortable and inviting...it's like your dining with family! The Veal Portofino was incredible and the complimentary pizzelle and limoncello after dinner made this my new favorite place!
Service was excellent! Chicken Luigi is delicious. Bread with fresh roasted garlic is amazing. Restaurant was extremely clean. Can’t wait to go back!
Delicious as usual. Love the new decor.
We have dined at Elizabeth’s Of Portofino’s a number of times and the food is always wonderful. We appreciate the gluten free options and the professionalism of the waitstaff.
The staff and food was great as always. Will definitely be back
My wife and I love this place it is truly a neighborhood gem.
Great ambiance. Food reasonably priced. Nice touches such a oil, grated cheese and roasted garlic dip for bread. End of meal cordial was a very nice touch.
