Excellent food had the steak tartare & gnocchi for appetizers both were wonderful had the swordfish which was moist and great flavor the desserts sounded so good we ordered 3 Candy dish Cream breule and chocolate cake can only say good things about food and service
A very enjoyable evening - well constructed entrees, attentive staff and fabulous desserts
Made a reservation just a couple hours before hand for my birthday. My girlfriend and I shared an order of the oysters and also had the pork chop and lamb dish. Everything came out in a very respectable time and the waitress was very courteous of our privacy all while still making sure we had everything we needed. Honestly looking forward to another visit in the near future.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was exceptional and the wait staff was informative and attentive. There were four of us and we were all very pleased.
I go to Eleven about 4 times a year. The last 2 visits have had terrible service. I am not sure if they have new management and are now cycling thru waitstaff. Ether way... the service and food here were the best for a long time but now they need to do some training with their waitstaff. Food is still great!!
Everything was fantastic. The only thing that could have been better is the initial selection of pastries brought to the table as part of brunch. The blueberry muffins and croissants were good. The biscuits were too dense and needed salt. The corn muffins were equally disappointing. Since they serve nice portions of amazing food, I would not waste the calories on these carbs. If you like a spicy bloody Mary with a nice amount of horseradish, get the bloody Mary. Fantastic! Everyone else at my table enjoyed their drinks, too.
The service was good and the food exceeded my expectations.
We made a late reservation for 8:45pm on Friday thinking we will just have a nice and quick bite. Our plan to have a cocktail and a glass of wine with main course only quickly turned into a cocktail, a bottle of wine, appetizer, main course and dessert evening because of the exquisite menu items and fantastic service we received. Our server on Friday night was exceptional. He was attentive and knowledgeable, and made us feel so welcomed! The food is absolutely amazing, we also really liked the focaccia bread and the black pepper walnut bread to start with. We ordered a sea scallop starter to share, and our server requested the scallop to be served on two plates without we even asking. They also have a huge selection of wine and dessert wine menu. You can see the wine collection through the glass window on the second floor, the whole ambiance was just right for a date night or a business meal. Even though it was quite late, like 10:40 pm, we didn't feel like being rushed at all, and were offered the dessert menu when we weren't even thinking to have dessert yet. Because of the excellent choices, we had a warm apple pie with Calvados, and a Tokaji. They paired perfectly. It was a lovely night, we would highly recommend to anyone!
good food but a little over priced...with that said I would go back.
Food was excellent. Outdoor seating on a beautiful evening - lovely atmosphere with excellent service.
Approaching the restaurant from the street, one might be put off a bit, but from the greeting at the door to paying one’s check, the experience was amazing. Our server Phoebe was very sweet ant attentive; the food from bread basket to entree was to die for. Entrees were pricey but large enough that we shared, keeping the bill within reason. We would love to return soon but cannot as we were just passing through Pittsburgh on a road trip.
The overall experience was outstanding. Interesting menu, great food, impeccable service, and wonderful ambiance. Though it was crowded the noise level was very low. Deserves the ‘Best’ rating it gets in The Pittsburgh magazine
We really enjoyed our meal and loved the atmosphere at the table .
service and food always great. Our Salmon was a little under done but still yummy
Had a delicious Birthday Brunch with my husband, taking advantage of the Big Burrito birthday gift of $30 off an entree. The brunch at Eleven is wonderful, includes a cocktail, appetizer and entree and a varied menu to fit all tastes. I had the delicious Carrot - curry soup with toasted oats and lime emulsion , and an entree of Steak and crispy sort of hard boiled egg with bread crumb crust over stone ground grits , garnished with a salad and bernaise sauce- perfection! The oysters and huevos rancheros with lamb was also wonderful. They provide complementary house made muffins and also a decorated plate with chocolate and birthday cookies to end a special meal! Best brunch in town!
Ed was fantastic and always makes dining here a excellent experience!
The man seating us was incredibly unfriendly. The waiter was great. The service was unreasonably slow.
Excellent food and service - surpassed my expectations
Will definitely be back
Food was too salty and compared to other places we’ve gone in Pittsburgh, there are much better ones for the price. Salmon was too salty and left a lot to be desired. Highlight of the meal was definitely the dessert (candy bar). Probably will not come back for dinner anytime soon as we were quite disappointed.
We went to Eleven for the first time for my birthday. Salmon was decent but GET THE STRIP STEAK. It was excellent, a great cut of meat and uber filling. The desserts were phenomenal as well (made in house) especially the banana cream pie. The personal selection of gourmet breads was a nice touch and our waiter was great! Highly recommend and we'll be back.
Eleven achieved my high expectations.
My husband and I dined there recently and the food was excellent. The service was exceptional and the price reasonable. We will return for another date night meal!
WE have been visiting Eleven since it opened. The Restaurant and bar haven't changed much over the last few years. Quality of food is excellent, but the choices are somewhat limited and not particularly creative or inspired - for the price.
We ordered a rib-eye steak, the quality was fair but it did not deliver the taste that one normally expects for such a cut - especially at the price ($54). Excellent, but pricey oysters on the half shell.
WE will return. It was a slow Thursday evening. We'll hope it was an off night.
Food was excellent, service was terrific. Our server (Tom) was the perfect mix of attentive and knowledgeable. I would definitely ask for him the next time I visited.
It was a great way to celebrate my birthday. Both our entrees ( the lamb and swordfish) were delicious. Out server, Tom was very attentive.
Always great experience. Good wine selection, cocktails and delish food.
The brunch menu is super reasonable, and the cinnamon roll is to die for. Can’t wait to go back.
Great brunch. Food really good. They have a two course prix fixed but the portions are large so we just did a la carte.
Great food. Easy parking and well priced. Besides the point that the Washington Capitals were dining at the same time, I would say all was smashing! Go Pens!
Thanks for the birthday fun!
Surprised my boyfriend for a bday Sunday brunch....1st time at Eleven, but frequent other Big Burrito restaurants. Had a perfect time! Great atmosphere, fabulous food, & nice employees. I’d definitely go again!
Not your average Sunday Brunch but in a good way! Go with the price fixe menu and enjoy an appetizer and a main course while sipping on a cocktail. Well worth it. Can't wait to try it again.
We were looking forward to Eleven based on all the great reviews. What a joke. The space is beautiful. Foie gras risotto appetizer was very good. Dinner went downhill after that. Both the swordfish and halibut were dry and flavorless. For a restaurant in Pittsburgh to charge $36 an entree I expected better. The candy bar dessert was a joke as the bottom layer was so dry and hard it flew off the plate when you tried to put your fork through it. Service was cold and impersonal. Save your money and eat somewhere else.
I was in town for a conference and found out about Eleven via the OpenTable app. The restaurant was an icredible from the time of arrival to our departure. The staff was attentive and incredibly kind. The food was AMAZING!! I would highly recommend this place.
We both had the chef's Spring Tasting Menu, with the optional wine flight, and it was amazing. Each of the 5 courses was beautifully put together, fresh and lively, a treat for all the senses. At $65, it was a great way to sample widely from the kitchen and to get a good sense of the chef's talents. The wines were wonderful, as well, and also a good deal at $45 for five 2-3 oz pours from a well-chosen cellar. Service was pleasant and gracious, and the room was attractive and comfortable, with American standards coming through the speakers at just the right volume level. Looking forward to the next special occasion!
Enjoyed the brunch on Sunday. We never went to eleven for brunch and we were very
Please. So much food and terrific menu choices. Victor was very informative and helpful. Great place to celebrate
Wonderful food. Wonderful service. Great experience.
Enjoyed everything. Server was awesome.
It took 20 minutes for the waiter to acknowledge we were there. I had to go to the host desk and ask if we had a server. The food was good but only 1 vegetarian option which was very disappointing. After soup, salmon and a dessert we were still hungry when we got the bill. I love big burrito restaurants but I’ll skip eleven next time.
Just go! The drinks are top notch, food is fabulous, and the atmosphere is superb!
