   Visiting in Pittsburgh for the weekend, I found this restaurant disappointing. Part of that disappointment might be that we ate at a fantastic restaurant the night before (Altius) and then came here for dinner the next night. But Eleven just did not meet expectations for good food, service and ambience. The table arrangement was awkward as we were seated at right angles to each other as a couple. And it was not very comfortable seating. Our appetizer came out at the same time as our salad…there did not seem to be any pacing from the kitchen. The wine selected based on the server recommendation was very tart. I did not end up drinking much of it as opposed to my husband. My main course was good while my husband’s was undercooked in a certain section, resulting in some inedible raw salmon. No one asked how the meal was. We did not order dessert but did ask for one coffee. We waited a long time for it to arrive and it was luke warm by the time it got to our table. I don’t understand the high ratings on this restaurant. Maybe they were just understaffed based on the number of people served. But I would not recommend this place based on the food/dining experience.

   Food is always great. We go 1 time per month for the Gerber Chicken

   Service was not good. Discussed with manager so no need to post details. Food... Tenderloin was very good; Porkchop is average. It was cooked fine, but taste was bland. If you want a really good porkchop go to LeMont or Nates chophouse.

   The food was amazing from appetizers to desserts The quality and flavor of all dishes was fantastic I had the pork chop and I cut it with my fork The swordfish was cooked to perfection and the paperadale pasta was perfect The desserts where out of this world

   This was our second time dining at Eleven. The food was very tasty and Gina, our server, was such a joy. She was attentive, made some very good food recommendations (Fig and Arugula Salad, Strip Steak and Scottish Salmon) and had special celebratory touches for our daughter who recently graduated from UPitt. Highly recommend visiting when celebrating a special occasion!

   The culinary experience was very pleasing and the food was quite flavorful. The steak was cooked well and packed flavor. The pappardelle pasta was fantastic. The short rib was tasty but I’m used to my short rib being so tender that you don’t need a fork. So , although it was tasty, it fell short of my expectations. The calamari appetizer was fantastic. The 11 mule cocktail was exceptional. And the Candy bar chocolate dessert was decadent. Very tasty and fulfilling. The customer service was timely and by the book.

   Group of 6, ate upstairs. Service and food were outstanding, great place to visit in downtown Pittsburgh
