Eleven South Bistro Ratings and Reviews
This was our third visit to this restaurant, and once again we were extremely pleased with our experience. Our server provided us with excellent service and explained the special menu offerings for the evening. He also recommended wines which would pair well with our entree selections. Everything was delicious and the service was outstanding.
We reserved a table for Valentine’s Day and we’re so happy we did. 11 South is known for excellent food and drink and this night was no disappointment. We started with a single malt Scotch and a house special martini, and had the grilled Spanish octopus and scallops for appetizers. I’ve never had more tender octopus, even in the Mediterranean...and her app was delicious as well.
For entrees, we went for the lobster paella and rack of lamb. Again, each was perfect, cooked to temp and a wonderful mix of flavors, spices and tastes. 11 South does it right and we’ll be back!
Have had many great meals here, but this time around on Valentine's Day not so good. Made reservations 3 weeks prior as they are quite popular, asked for a specific area although I understand on a busy night that might not happen, got seated in the side room by some extremely loud folks, hostess noticed and said she would try and move us (unasked so great job). Another table opened up and she seated another couple (we had it ordered wine or anything yet). Don't get seated in the side room, too tight and if you are by a loud couple you will pay $300 for a dinner with them on your lap.
Love their cheese plates, they didn't have them due to the occasion, waitress mentioned even servers didn't know that until day of. Other places in this price range such as Azurea have sent notes if they are changing or having a special menu. I probably wouldn't have made reservations had I known this.
Waitress was nice but not knowledgeable.
Food was great as usual and arrived at a good pace
Only thing that was different this time than others was the guys busing the tables were all over us when our apps, food, desserts, etc weren't even for , felt pushed not by the wait staff but by the bus staff.
Maybe an off night as this place has been a go to spot most times and have a great wine list with awesome cheese selections and great food. Will try them again and hope this was an off night. Likely not on an occasion though with the menu uncertainty.
The Maine Lobster Paella and the Flounder were excellent. The lobster crab and mussels were fresh in the shells, not cut into pieces. The flounder was light and delicious. The mixologist makes great Old Fashioned. We started with the octopus - very tasty, and finished with the bread pudding - also great. We left pleasantly satisfied and not over stuffed.
Our server did not show up for a while and we were over 15 minutes late getting seated. We like this restaurant but when I was told the pasta was huge but some people added a protein, I was a bit shocked IMO at how small the portion of pasta truly was - our friends chair at our 4 top kept getting hit by people passing to go to the restroom. We hope to have a bit better experience the next time.
I met a friend for lunch to “ catch up”. Elsa was very courteous and anticipated our every need. Great waitress! We both had the Salmon BLT wrap and sweet potato fries, and it was out of this world! My portion was so generous that I brought half home. My husband loved it! We will eat that again.
The place was very crowded and busy. The food, as always, did not disappoint. Excellent. Service, however, was very slow this time. We waited at least 15 minutes after being seated before a server came to the table. We brought our own wine and after pouring it, and reciting the specials, we didn't see the server again for another 20 minutes. Server was very pleasant though.
I recently made my first visit to Eleven South Bistro. I had a first date with a wonderful woman and she recommended the location.
Parking was extremely limited but free valet parking was provided. We arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation time but were very promptly seated. Nonetheless, I would not try to go there on a weekend without a reservation.
The wait staff was attentive without hovering. The only complaint I have about the visit is the noise level. We were there on a Friday night at 8 pm so of course the restaurant was crowded. We were seated on the edge of the dining area so we weren't totally surrounded by noise but we still had difficulty hearing each other.
We each had one mixed drink before the meal. I had a bowl of Italian wedding soup and it was good but not outstanding. I chose the short rib entree and it was very tender and tasty. My date had the salmon; she is more of a foodie that am I and she was very happy with the meal. Neither of us ordered a dessert. The bill for the two of us was $86.
This is not my new favorite restaurant but I will definitely return in the future.
11 South is the best resturant in North East FL.. Everything about the resturant is great. Mangement is outstanding.. along with the servers. Can’t say enough about that. They should never even consider making a change in Mangement.. They would really be a big mistake..
Our party of four were celebrating two birthdays on Monday, January 15th. This is my special occasion first choice restaurant. The food is always fantastic, along with its excellent wine selections. I was very disappointed with the prime rib. The meat was not hot, juicy or flavorful. It was probably left over from the weekend and reheated. I would rate it below fair. The accompanying blue cheese mashed potatoes were not creamy or hot. The texture and taste was as if it had been refrigerated or frozen and reheated. I was not the least bit appetizing. I must say the caesar salad and flour less chocolate cake were outstanding. The service was also great!
