Chose ELEVEN for my mother’s birthday dinner. None of us had ever been before and we had a fantastic experience. Everything was great; from the service to the food to the ambiance. We will definitely be back!!
Great food, service and ambiance. All dinners were prepared with care and exactly as requested.
The parking is slightly problematic, and $6.00 for valet. The maitre d' and the hostess remind me of the sales people at Gucci.....slightly snotty, as in, " what are you doing here?" The restaurant is very large, and a bit pretentious, and dark....a little more lighting please, and not right over head. What is this fascination with overhead lights above a table? Not.
Food very good, rich, quite expensive. Large, expensive wine list.
By far the best food I have had while out dining. I highly recommend it to anyone that is going out for dinner for any reason.
We came here for a special occasion and were very disappointed. I typically don’t write negative reviews but for the price we paid for our meal it was an incredible waste of time and money. The atmosphere was very relaxing but we weren’t sat at the greatest table which was no big deal as long as the food and service were good. The drink I ordered was amazing but the service was stunningly bad. Our server was very lazy and it was clear he was just doing the bare minimum to turn the table. He didn’t give us his name upon arriving and checked in on us once the whole dinner. If we were eating at a chain restaurant or a diner this would have been fine but for spending $140 on a meal for two, we were unimpressed. The food came and it was just as underwhelming. The steak my boyfriend got was nothing special and my pasta was also nothing to write home about. We’ve had much better meals for a much more reasonable price at Station in Bloomfield. Will not be coming back
Had a blast at Eleven celebrating our anniversary. Food was phenomenal and the service was amazing. We opted not to get dessert (we were stuffed), but then the server came out with a little white chocolate dessert that had “Happy Anniversary” on it! That little touch went a long way - I’ll definitely be back!
My server Myles was awesome, food came out timely. The Eleven mule was great! I ordered sea scallops and hanger steak. Overall food was very good, a little salty though but that could be because I've cut my sodium intake in the last year and now just sensitive to it. I would highly recommend and would go back.
This was s delightful brunch with good value.
We enjoyed our dinner. The food was very tasty - beef tenderloin and the halibut. When we’re back in Pittsburgh, we’ll be dining at Eleven again.
Wonderful & elegant experience!
We will be coming back.
Always awesome! We go at least once a year and it never disappoints!
A true gem is n the Pittsburgh dining scene.
We recently took our adult daughter there for her birthday. Our first time there. Food and service is excellent. Not happy they couldn't just leave us a small selection of their bread. We were only allowed to chooses one piece a person and it was taken away. It is expensive also, everything is separate, you pay for salad and meal separate. Just remember this when going. It is very worth it for a special occasion dinner out. FOOD IS OUTSTANDING.
Don't think I'll ever get tired of saying it, every time we try something new here, it's fantastic. The potato/cauliflower soup was delicious, the swordfish with forbidden rice (should they be serving forbidden food) was lick the plate cleanable and the cocktails, while needing a bit of an update were very tasty. Can't go wrong.
First time here and ate at bar for their happy hour (4-6). Nice selections of wine at $7 during HH at bar/lounge only. Also a number of bar bites for only $7 each. I ordered 3 as a meal. Oysters were great with hot sauce. Highly recommend the Blue Bay Mussels and ask for a spoon....yum! Last, I'm a huge fan of ordering any Brussels Sprouts on the menu. Tonight's Cripsy Brussels Sprouts were made with pistachios and a layer of cream underneath....also very good! Great atmosphere and service!
Visited on a busy Friday night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Luckily we were able to get a table upstairs, which is a bit more timid of an atmosphere. We enjoyed a pre-dinner cocktail from their menu- I had the Kentucky Smash- very good and smooth. My husband had a very strong, but good martini. We both started the tuna tartare- very fresh and flavorful. Moving on to the salads- the beet salad was excellent, the flavors melded together and it was very refreshing. The autumn salad was also good. Our entrees were on two different levels. The lamb was unbelievable, prepared perfectly- very tender and the roasted vegetables and crispy polenta were spot on. My husbands entree- the seafood tasting- was barely average. The halibut was the only stand out. The crab cake was very fried and very boring (almost like an old fashioned deviled crab cake) and the one scallop was just ok. The service was spotty, Nicole was friendly and helpful, but our bottle of wine came late (when we were finishing our salads) and the dessert wine list was not updated, so my husband walked away disappointed after ordering an item they "were out of". An updated menu, is an expectation at this level of a restaurant. All in all it was a good meal, just one poor choice of an entree and some fine tuning of service, and it would have been excellent. We plan on returning in the future.
Service and food were both great. Nice menu options. Was nice for a birthday dinner and the happy hour in the bar was also very nice.
My friend and I celebrating our birthdays could not have been more pleased by everything! From the moment we arrived to the time we left everything was perfect. Our server, Brian, was friendly and helpful and a nicely and not overly attentive and the food was very good and the ambiance so very nice. It was a very perfect way to enjoy a great time out of the ordinary for both of us ... we often eat at Kaya which is always enjoyable but Eleven was different and so enjoyable!
Eleven is our standard...when we want an excellent experience and a tremendous meal, we go to Eleven
Really enjoyed my birthday dinner Ordered a mild Bloody Mary and it was perfect to my taste. I liked the dark cranberry walnut bread The salmon entree was moist and cooked medium. It was served with cubed potatoes ,onions and mild butter sauce with lentels and watercress. I relished every bite.
Ordered the dark chocolate cake with mascarpone ice cream and was shared it with my dinner guest. It was enough for 3 bites per person. The after dinner little dark chocolate truffle was not sweet but creamy inside. Looking forward to another occasion to celebrate at Eleven
after 14 years eleven still retains its edge. Unique offerings and libations.
Thanks to the staff and compliments to the chef for a memorable celebration. We had brunch on Sunday, celebrating my father's 76th birthday. You made it special the wait staff acknowledging the occasion and with a special dessert!
Made our reservation off an internet recommendation for Sunday brunch. Excellent staff, excellent service. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Unique! Food was excellent, served at perfectly timed intervals. Did not feel rushed, but rather welcomed to enjoy at our own pace.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and can’t wait to go back for an evening meal. Highly recommend!
We love Eleven. We have dined here multiple times and are never disappointed. Food and service are always superb. This time was for brunch. We highly recommend it.
The food here is amazing. The $30 brunch is a deal that one should not pass up. Get the Steak and Egg! You won’t be disappointed!
Went for a late night (10:45) anniversary dinner. Sat on tavern side. Great food, service and drinks. Apparently dining room side closes at 11 so I don’t know why they’d allow people to make reservations at 10:45 if they planned to “suggest” we sit on tavern side but we didn’t mind and if we did I would’ve just sat in dining room and they would’ve had to deal with it. Can’t really argue with someone who has a reservation, especially for a special occasion. Despite this we had a wonderful meal and enjoyed to coziness of the tavern/bar area.
GREAT dinner. Our server Miles was outstanding!!! Highly recommend
Excellent food and terrific menus that always changes. Bar seating is great for causal dining. Service is often slow. Took far too long to get our dinner for only 4 people.
This was an Eleven out of ten!!!!!!!!!!!
Requested curtained table upstairs- awesome view downstairs but private and cozy (possibly a wee bit dark). Continual bread offered by a bread whisperer we referred to as The Muffin Man. Our waiter~ KYLE. Stellar service, thoughtful, knowledgeable, sweet, fast- Amazeballs. Food- I. Mean. Oysters were tiny; we’re Floridians and frankly it was the only negative thing we can say about our meal- but they were delish. Tuna tartare- rocked my world. Salads- flavorful in a unique way without trying too hard. Steak for main course- unfreakinbelievable. Salmon for main- thank you jesus. Seafood sampler for main- one was better than the next. Desserts~ the chocolate cake made my daughter tear up and she barely has feelings. They customized my creme brûlée- who does that??! The banana dessert- I won’t ever look at a banana the same. The cocktails- Oh. My. Subtle, interesting, well done. BUT. This is what made our experience above and beyond. We go to many fine dining establishments and we have NEVER had staff go so far out of their way to make us feel comfortable, they offered substitutions instead of making me feel bad because I abhor onions, brought us complimentary desserts to take home, and patiently worked with our schedule when we had to change our reservation time twice. They asked how our dinner was as we left. And they genuinely seemed to care. In all our years of restaurant experiences we have never felt so welcomed and dealt with staff so accommodating. The chef is obviously Dang gifted but for once that gift does not come with an attitude. It only includes thoughtful food offerings not to mention generous portion sizes. We can not overstate our pleasure with the entire dining experience.
Excellent food, amazing service! My husbands scallops were better than perfect! (I usually dont like scallops but thought these were great) My salad was light and flavorful with a variety of texture. The wine our server helped us choose was exceptional! Loved it all!
Great seasonal menu! They use locally sourced ingredients. I normally don’t order chicken when I go out but the chicken dish was recommended by the waitress and it was amazing! The gnocchi dish, pork chop dish and lamb dish are all highly recommended as well. The food will not disappoint! Very attentive staff.
Eleven is one of our favorite restaurant spots in the burgh, ever changing farm to table seasonal menu. The flavors are out of this world delicious. Never had a bad meal at this restaurant!!
The restaurant is very dark. I suggest you put some type of battery operated light on each table.
Many people had their phone out using the flashlight so they could see. We went to Eleven a
few years ago and the food was much better. I was disappointed.
Liked this place but didn't LOVE it... Loved the decor and ambiance - but wasn't nlown away by the food & service- it was just... ok.
It was my wife's birthday and we took our entire family out to dinner. It was fabulous and Sara did an outstanding job serving us. It was truly a special birthday celebration!
Excellent restaurant. There were flexible with my reservation after my flight was delayed. They were great with my 5 year old nephew. Parking was also easy!
We tried the fall tasting menu and were amazed. Each course was fantastic. The duck with the duck confit was the winner though. The wines that were paired went perfectly with each course. One of the best meals we've ever had at Eleven and we've had a lot of great ones.
As first-time weekend visitors fromDC Area to Pittsburgh and the Strip, we were looking for a special place to celebrate our 26th anniversary. Easy to get a prime-time reservation, and a short walk from our hotel. Lovely place and helpful front desk. Actual dinner service was a bit thin, probably servers covering too many spread-out tables. Food was excellently prepared, especially swordfish, but crab pasta was just a bit mushy and too rich for me. Interior space is beautiful: mix of high and low ceilings, wide-open and cozy spaces, lit just right so people and food both shine. With one glass of wine, 2 side salads, 2 entrees above and a couple of diet cokes, the bill at ~$100+ before tip was high - but expected - for this special-occasion dinner.
Ambiance and food were phenomenal! New favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh!
Terrific fall tasting menu. Large portions for a tasting menu. All done very well
