Just a real treat.....Duck was delicious.....medley of flavors!!
Our Waitress, Shannon was fantastic, very knowledgeable, one of the best wait staff I have had in a restaurant. The ambiance was very intimate and the diners were treated to a small but classy menu. I ordered the surf and turf and the meal was served beautifully and was very tasty. It was my Birthday and my wife's Birthday was in 7 days and being Gemini's we clicked with Shannon as she is also a Gemini. It made some good banter. Gail had the soup and the scallops which she raved about. Our dessert was fantastic and complementary due to our joint birthday. Central Oregon Community College did itself proud by having this venue to show off the culinary school and the talent it graduates.

Elevation is one of my top three favorite restaurants in Bend. The food and service are outstanding. The restaurant is in the middle of a ponderosa pine tree forest; you can't ask for better surroundings than that.
We were pleased with the creative dishes offered and the personal nature of the service—this is, after all, where students train to elevate their cooking and restaurant management skills, which means that, for their performance, the customer is the ultimate judge. Customer comments are not dismissed, but taken seriously. Both sides are invested in making this a positive experience. The friendly atmosphere reflects this, where conversation is never loud but never hushed. And, on Wednesday, there is no corkage fee, which allows fine dining at a reasonable price. We have eaten here before, but not recently, and we were surprised by how much both the food and service have improved since then. Elevation has come to richly deserve its name!

The staff were very accommodating to food allergies & the desserts were perfectly sized & delicious! Duck confit was perfection. Scallops & salmon were cooked perfectly but could have used a bit more heat to get a nice sear. Artisanal breads & compound butter were perfection!
Another great meal! Every time we dine at Elevation, we're not disappointed! Their attention to detail, their plating, their customer service -- all outstanding! For students, they truly pull off great meals! I really appreciate the increased number of entree options they offered this Spring. And, everyone at the table was extremely satisfied. How do we keep this place a secret?!?!?! (Just kidding.) We love it!!!
We always enjoy coming to Elevation - especially toward the end of the semester! This time the 4 of us each got something different and all of the dishes were wonderful. I love the enthusiasm of the students who are just embarking on their dreams. I wish there were a way to find out where the students who cooked for me or served me in past semesters were working now -- I'd love to patronize their restaurants. And I'd go wherever Isaac, who made the pasta dish this week, was cooking!
Had the salmon which was great but cold potatoes and cold asparagas was not our favorite. Also had the thai brisket sandwich with good flavor. The bun was to much but it held together which was good. The green salad was good.
Everything about this meal was great--flavors, appearance, service, atmosphere. I had the lamb tagine and the complexity of spices was so interesting and delicious! Thank you to Michael, our server, for his knowledgeable and efficient service.

Aside from the limited nights they serve dinner—it’s run by the culinary school and its students—I was very pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. It’s in a beautiful wooded setting, a little hard to find, and the building is modern and sleek. The restaurant entrance is around back. I loved the decor and the huge, see-through fireplace. The dinner menu is interesting and as haute cuisine as any celebrated fancy restaurant I’ve been to in Bend. The French onion soup was delicious and the duck breast was really done nicely, if not a touch over cooked. I ordered my duck breast medium rare and it came out with just a hint of pink. It is run by students, after all, and it was delicious so I didn’t send it back. The dessert creme brûlée was also very nice. I didn’t delve too far into the wine list but Elevation had a wine by the glass I was familiar with so I ordered that. Overall, it was a very pleasant surprise and experience and reasonably priced. I’m already making plans to go back for a friend’s birthday dinner.
Elevation is my favorite restaurant in Bend for its elegance, professional staff, quiet atmosphere and creative menus!
Elevation has consistently offered great food, terrific service, and a nice wooded setting, all perfect for celebrating special occasions.
Elevation was recommended to us and we were excited to try it. It is located just a couple of minutes from us on the COCC campus. We were pleasantly surprised and delighted with the ambiance, view, and the feeling of being in a very nice restaurant. The students are lovely and so wanting your feedback. The food was wonderful, there are 3 selections at lunch for entrees and we each had one of the 3 and we all loved the food. We also had the appetizers (soup and salad) which were wonderful as well as was the chocolate torte for dessert. Their prices are extremely reasonable for the selections ($10 for halibut fish and chips which is usually closer to $20).
Elevation is a beautiful facility with lots of windows to enjoy the view of pine trees. I had the carrot soup for a first course and it was extremely sweet. I should have gotten the salad. My main was halibut fish and chips. The halibut was great as was the tartar sauce with it. The chips were small, over cooked and greasy and I left most of them. Service was pleasant and attentive. It's an enjoyable place to dine and I will return. My impression is the ingredients are high quality and the aim is to provide excellent food and service.
The food/value is really very good. A nice selection of wine. Friendly not too busy. Everyone is helpful but you have to remember the servers are students and some of them really need some mentoring to help them present themselves more dynamically. That being said, it is a good as any of the better restaurants around and they need the business so go out and support COCC!

Very nice leisurely dinner with excellent food and service. We enjoyed the ambience and low noise level, so rare to find in Bend.
Two couples went out to local venue for an interesting and relaxed dinner. We all choose the steak entrée as it was that or duck which none of us care for or some seafood Newberg which did not smell good. This is a training dinner for the culinary school and is a relaxed experience seeing how the trainees go about all this.

As always, we were served a wonderful meal at Elevation! Mason, our server, was very attentive. We always feel like special guests whenever we dine here. This is the second time I've had the duck, and I would highly recommend it! Splurge and try their chocolate dessert...yum!
The space was wellcoming and the staff very attentive through out the evening. We were a party of 6 and all the dishes came out at the same time. The Seafood Newberg was the favourite and we enjoyed tasting such a good variety of dishes. The steak ordered rare was not hot throughout but they took care of that right away. The 2 Birthdays at our table were recognized with a special dessert plate for each. Overall a pleasant experience.
Elevation restaurant is part of the Cascade Culinary Institute, with a mission to train students to become skilled cooks, servers, etc. On some days you might have a server who has mastered his job; on other days one who is still a work in progress. Either way, you can be sure that they are trying their best and are well-supervised. The food is excellent in every way, servers are attentive and eager to please, the atmosphere is warm and inviting and the prices are quite reasonable. Overall, a great place to dine out.
Most of the food choices were quite good, with only few exceptions. Service was prompt and friendly, if a little unprofessional. My biggest complaint was the high cost. I am not a big spender and don't do these special outings often, but I would be willing to guess that I could dine at nearly any place in town and get a nice dinner for 2 for less then $75 (which was my bill here). Charging for each item is certainly not the way I would run the business and considering it is a school where is that high price coming from. We did enjoy our evening and the atmosphere and staff were fine.
It was excellent from start to finish! We will make this a routine stop whenever we are visiting Bend.
Another excellent meal at Elevation! Considering this was their first week with a new menu, the food and service was outstanding!! I almost don't want to give them so many stars...I'm afraid it won't remain the best kept secret in Bend.

Food was very good, but served cold. I would of like the green beans better with less breading and different dipping sauce.
Since this is a teaching experience, server needs improvement with observing customers and observing customers request. Example requested lemon for my drink, 2 lemon slices were served, did not notice that the skin on one of the slices had not been completely clean. Used other slice of lemon. But when drink was refilled lemon was not offered again. We had to ask for water and ice.
Server was professional, friendly and polite. I thought he was probably a little nervous, and since school just restarted. We all have to learn.

The brioche rolls were heavenly! The salad was good enjoyed the heat in the dressing. Duck dish was disappointing. Brussels sprouts were hard and the white beans were over cooked and tasteless.
The atmosphere was extremely pleasant, but the food was even better! We ordered the salmon special with blood orange sauce and it melted in your mouth. Mixed with the black lentils and arugula it was spot on! Would definitely go back. Great experience!

This was our second time to visit Elevation and we were very impressed both times. The server was knowledgeable, considerate and pleasant. We had 4 different meals and all were delicious and the presentation was great. We also thoroughly enjoyed 3 wonderful deserts. We will definitely go again and would be happy to recommend Elevation.
Elevation is a culinary college affair and therefore the service will vary from so-so to excellent (they are students). This evening was about average for service. The food generally varies from good to very good and occasionally excellent and our 4 dinners were all at least very good. The ambience can't be beat; a beautiful restaurant, uncrowded seating, and very quiet. This venue is always on our list of possible eating out choices.
Our appetizers were amazing! Had the duck confit salad and the tomatillo soup... 5 stars on that. Our server wasn't very attentive and I felt like we were waiting a lot before getting service. When we had our check ready I think it took 15 min before she came to take it, at least it felt like that. Our entrees were not as good as last time we came. We got the duck which was cooked well but the side dish looked unappetizing and was tasteless. It was white beans, dried papaya? And Brussel sprouts so it looked just blah cuz the Brussels were white looking and with white beans and the chopped yellow dried fruit. The risotto was asparagus and artichoke. Veggies good, risotto maybe undercooked a little and dry. Flavored of lemon and pepper, but needed some salt. I ate all the risotto and just added a lot of salt. The brioche rolls were amazing!!
