Better menu items, new craft cocktails, new wine list, and new brunch cocktails. We’ve completely evolved. We can't wait to see you soon!
It was a good meal and service 😊
Made it in and told the person who greeted us (not a host) and he said Okay and walked to the kitchen area to tell someone that I had a reservation. After waiting for 5 minutes someone came to greet us and asked if I had a reservation. It appeared he was looking for my reservation. I didn’t want to wait anymore and they place has several of tables available so I said “forget it I just want to sit down” Service was extremely slow. She put in the wrong order. Forgot to the sweetener I asked for. After 10 minutes of waiting I had to ask a good runner to help us out and get us a sweetener. The food was okay. Lamb chop is as tasty no complaints.
Every. Thing was very good and asome decorations the only thing was the mc&cheese not cheese made with quesadilla cheese not good other than that great
Food was great but the service not so much. Never pre bussed our table so we had to sit with bunch of dishes and empty glasses on table. Mentioned it was my daughters birthday but got nothing.
Good experience, a little loud, but it did not effect conversations
Waitress was great . Food not so good . Drinks on the pricey side .
Nothing to shout about but good menu to pick from.
Sandra was my waitress and she was wonderful she was prompt she was courteous she was efficient it was a nice birthday lunch for me. The atmosphere is very nice the variety of food is very nice well-prepared and delicious
Poor service even when it’s empty!
took a long time to take our order, I had to get up twice to ask to place an order.
the food was OK
This was an early dinner (5:30 pm) and there weren't many people. Our waiter did not seem busy however, it took some time to get a glass of water and then a refill. There was a delay with dessert not sure why. Another couple was placed behind us and we tend to be a little noisy. Perhaps staging customers while there are open tables might have been a better choice. You never know who is loud or not.
The food was good.
Great service and food all around!
We had brunch here. The brunch menu is very light, we ordered the French toast with eggs, bacon, and potatoes. The French toast is pretty sweet. One order of eggs were cooked well while the other order was runny and not presented well at all. The bacon tasted like precooked bacon that they reheated. The service was great but the food was not so great.
Having been seated, we were not assigned a server yet after 30 minutes. Our orders for a party of 5 took about 45 minutes. Our service was very poor as we were seated in a corner sometimes thinking if they forgot about us. Our server was very busy that day but, food came out very late. This time, we did not like the service at all. I dont think we will be returning again.
The service was fast and courteous. The food was delicious. My husband loved his Moscow Mule - believes that they use real ginger beer, not a substitute (live he thinks black angus uses!). It wasn’t horribly noisy like some restaurants. I would definitely go back.
I've summited my feedback about the bad service and food that was not to my family's liking, however nothing was done about it when we brought it up to the waiter's attention.
Our recent visit was to the Hayward restaurant for lunch. The wonderful menu options, many of which we have tried at other Elephant Bar locations, were numerous. We were celebrating a family member's 75th birthday. The entire meal experience was excellent.
I'm having a difficult time reviewing this restaurant. I decided to meet a friend there for lunch as we live on opposite sides of the bay and it seemed like a easy place to get together. As we were finishing our lunch we were asked if any of us owned a particular car in the parking lot. My friend did and we were told that it had had the windows broken out. THis was in the daytime and situated between a Applebees and a Panera. A fairly busy area. They smashed and grabbed a bag of clothes. The restaurant employees told us it happens all of the time. The police refused to come to the restaurant but mall security did. Southland Mall. It seems to me that if they would like people to come back to their restaurant and feel safe they ( and the surrounding restaurants) should hire a private patrol. I will not be returning.
The food and service was great today.
Servers were excellent, but skip it if you're looking for a good meal.
So good! Miso salmon, Napa valley cob salad, and strawberry cheesecake. Abience and service excellent.
i would not go again
Food quality has dropped dramatically. Over salted entrees, flavorless food, what a disappointment. Never coming back to this place again.
I had not been to the Elephant Bar in a long time. I found the food to be good enough but seem to remember having dinner there with friends when it first opened and it was much better..
Please take time to reassess the fare offered periodically to make sure that there is consistent
Our server was outstanding, food was amazing, comfortable atmosphere.
Meal quality has gone down. My husband and I we ordered ribeye steak we were very disappointment. This was my graduation I wanted to eat a ribeye steak and I few I was ripped off. Normally ribeye steak is pretty juicy because Of fat and we like that. Steak was tough, dry and I would like to believe they what we were served was not ribeye. The baked potato was stale, hard and cold. My husband had mushed potato and they were cold and tasted stale. Our vegetables were cold. Appetizer calamari was tough and parmesan string beans were good but were not enough. I asked the server if I should order two orders and she said no it would be enough unfortunately not. My family was very disappointed.
We were pleased as always and not hurried in anyway..our server April did a great job and checked often but was very good at not being over attentive..special thanks to all from welcome staff to meal very good..
Bad service, wilted greens
We arrived during happy hour and was seated in the restaurant, advised that happy hour only is for the bar area but there was a happy hour menu given to us at the table. Did they want me to get up from the table and go into the bar. Should have been told at seating time that happy hour was not available in the seated restaurant area and there should not be a happy our menu in the restaurant table area. Menu was not like the old Elephant Bar but the beef sliders were very good for the price.
Food was cold and obviously sat waiting in the kitchen, my friends meal was the wrong one, after dinner coffee was barely warm and the service wasn't much better. The only good part of the meal was the dessert.
Service was very slow. We gave the waitress two credit cards to split the bill. Only one was charged and the other was dropped on the floor. They had to look for it.
This is by far the best Elephant Bar we have been to. The restaurant decor is very nice and the restroom is very clean. Although this location may not have the breath taking scenic view, the service, attention, and food quality makes up for everything. The waitstaff very personable. We ordered the salmon entree. Food came on a hot plate and was a very good portion. Well worth the money. It was cooked to perfection - tender on the inside and hot and crisp on the outside. The chicken cobb salad was also very delicious and enough for the two of us to share. We would definitely return back when we're in the neighborhood. Highly recommend! :)
The food was horrible, looks horrible taste horrible, we ordered a burger with rare but it came not only burnt, it taste so blend, have to use water to wash it down. Also ordered chicken shrimp jambalaya, we could cook it better at home, this will be the last time would ever visit elephant bar
Nice although the food was not special.
My daughter and I dined at the Elephant Bar while I was visiting her. We were seated right away, but there was confusion about whether or not we actually had a reservation (which we did through Open Table). We received our drinks and then waited quite a while before placing our order. The food came at an appropriate time, but we had to flag down the waitress to get our bill. The restaurant was not crowded so I am not sure why we had such a long wait.
We were sat right away with no wait
Three people of seven enjoyed their meal
Two people ordered Macau Noodle soup. Was bland - no seasoning and very cold
One person ordered kids hamburger. It was absolutely torched, and inedible.
One person ordered braised short ribs. They were cold and unseasoned.
Service took 20 minutes to acknowledge our presence as there was confusion who was our server.
Loved the food and our server by the bar area BUT did not enjoy waiting 40 minutes past my reservation time.I understand it was V day but they should not have over book d or accepted so many walk ins if the reservations were not going to be honored.
This place can get packed on weekends, I advised to make a reservation in advance.
Daughter’s 17th Birthday Party....Had a wonderful time, your wait staff was great!
