Elephant Bar Restaurant - Citrus Heights
Brunch is offered on weekends 10am-2pm with brunch cocktails, patio dining, and delicious specialty brunch entrees.
We’ve kept the same, great Elephant Bar Restaurant exclusives you’ve come to love…but made them better, using only made-from- scratch methods and high-quality ingredients. Better menu items, new craft cocktails, new wine list, and new brunch cocktails. We’ve completely evolved. We can't wait to see you soon!
It was very busy, Mother's Day, but we were there for over an hour before we got our food, not everyone at once either. Mimosa was a half glass of orange juice with maybe some champagne for $5. Value-wise ok, but I don't think we'll be going back.
Restaurant was durty, dusty windows filthy, service was horrible, the waiter tryed but it was just a disaster
Great service! Portions aren't as large as they used to be. Maybe to retain price. Specifically, my favorite, Soy Ginger Calamari is getting smaller. All of our orders were prepared as ordered and yummy. Best martinis in Citris Heights!
when I arrived and told the hostess I had a reservation she explained to me the system was down and she didn't know if I really had one or not. I asked to be seated in one area and she took me to another. Our waitress was great and kept checking on us throughout the meal. The food was just okay to me. Greasy food greasy fries and the creme brulee was over heated and cooked on the top, too hard to break through the sugar.
i would normally say yes to recommending this place to someone because i have had many good experiences here. this last visit was very unpleasant for me and my friend and it was her first time.. we ordered an appetizer and it never came .. the meal my friend ordered was done wrong twice , it was embarrassing because i bragged about how good it was in the past. the manager did at least comp half the meal he should have paid the whole thing.. i may or may not return..
Open table did not reserve my tBle. I still had to wait and ended up eating at the bar
We had a great dinner. Our waitress was great, I think her name was Tabitha.
Server was rarely present. Had to ask if we could order after waiting at our table 20 minutes. Rarely checked on us. Steak wasn’t cooked correctly but since the server didn’t ask how I wanted it cooked. I didn’t wait potatoes but got potatoes and ordered shrimp but had to ask for it after dinner was brought.
Met friends for dinner. Got there fairly early wasn’t busy at all. Seemed nice until they said they we out of what I ordered THEN we waited almost an hour for our food. By that time it was getting busier.... everyone around us seemed to be getting what they ordered but we weren’t. When we asked our waitress why it was so long long she made up some excuse then we never saw her again. Thankfully the manager was super kind and gave us half off our bill. But not likely to go back.
Very good service though the food was a bit dry (had the platter with crab cakes, potatoe skins, and lettuce wraps). Service people both on the floor and behind the bar were very attentive and even willing to create a drink for my date. It was a great place to chat and I would go back again!
Food wasn’t good for the price. It took a long time after we sat till waiter came to ask what we want.
We always have delightful meals when we visit the Elephant Bar - as usual, last Sunday evening the service was great, and the window seat was a bonus as we got a chance to marvel at the heavy downpour outside while enjoying our tasting hot meals. Food portions are generous, fresh and tasty! Love it! Love the ambience.
Carpet was so sticky our shoes were sticking! Overall appearance looks tired and needs to be deep cleaned and freshened. Tables were also sticky. Bathroom walls and wood decor are very scuffed. Nice space, good service and good menu. good location.
Service very slow, restaurant was not crowded, Food was Okay, Price is average, could use a better cleaning.
So sad for thanksgiving. Order was very late. Ran out of mash potatoes. Had to take baked. Manager comped 2 of the seven meals. Took over an hour to get my husbands plate. When bill came it was incorrect. We still tipped the waitress. Felt sorry for her. She kept avoiding us.
Great service at this Restaurant, but food was mediocre. I had a hamburger with lukewarm sweet potato fries; my brother had pot roast that wasn’t very good. But, my sister enjoyed the stir fry dish.
Noel provided us with great service. Although that the food could have been better. My steak and vegetables were both overcooked. Which I don't know why because they were not busy at this time there were probably eight customers in the whole restaurant. But our server and Noel did a great job and was always on top of things
The waiter was awesome
Had chicken tortilla soup and salad for lunch. Soup had no chicken, just lots of vegetables. A little disappointing
Thank god they brought back the cashew chicken. I have not eaten there since they took it off the meny but now I am back. I hope they keep it on the menu. The server was very nonchalant and moved slowly.
Disappointed. We had a group of 8 together for a birthday dinner. I specified on the app and told the hostess we are celebrating. Twice! We waited and waited for the surprise and the chance to sing happy birthday and it never came. I will not be going back to this establishment for that specific reason I also ordered a mojito from the bar and it was disgusting. No alcohol and every sip I got a mouthful of mint. gross. Food was okay.
all Good everyone at our table (5) enjoyed our meals.
Food was delicious. The place was quite busy and was seated 15 mins after my reservation and ordered food 30 minutes later.
Always good food and we go there for the Lamb Shanks. Can’t find them this good anywhere else. Servers are always accommodating. Highly recommend.
We dined with our four friends at Elephant Bar after church services on August 26 and were very pleased with the food and service. Thank you for the wonderful afternoon of fellowship!
Menu has changed and prices have gone up. Not as much value for the money as it used to be.
Good for casual dining. Quick seating and friendly staff.
It's not the Elephant Bar of yesteryear where the menu offerings were pages and pages long, but the smaller menu of today has a good selection and the food was good. Likewise, in the past, on a Sunday, the place would be packed and noisy, but on this Sunday, it was less crowded and more quiet. The only problem is that the AC couldn't handle the 100* degree temperature outside and it was a little warm
Katy Ann was great. Thank you
Service was slow and haphazard and the place was not busy. Potato skins dried out and tough. No small plates with shrimp appetizer. Server dropped one dessert menu for three people then never came back to get our choices so we paid and left. Not going back. On a slow evening we should have received plenty of attention.
Besides getting the wrong wine and waiting 46 minutes for dinner it was still an enjoyable experience
3 meals arrived and one didn't. No explanation. 20 minutes later last meal on its way and then returned to kitchen made incorrectly. Finally came back out and it was not warm and chicken was overcooked. Didn't charge us for the last meal but our 82 year old mother was the victim of poor service.
This place has really gone downhill. Food was mediocre at best. Service was slow and uninterested. Food was ordered but never brought. Quality of meats used is low. No wonder it wasn’t busy
Everything was great expect my lunch. The Orange chicken was dry and the rice dry also without much flavor. Love the vibe at your restaurant but wanted to share my thoughts about the food. We were there at 12:30pm on Mother's Day.
I requested gluten free options for Brunch and the waitress dismissed my need and said I needed to pretty much order from the add on menu. She never said she would go to the chef and see what he could make for me just said a scrambled egg was all I could have or fruit. That’s fine I ordered that not wanting to disrupt our nice Mother’s Day meal. My husbands food was delivered cold, brought out by someone other than our waitress. Not once did the waitress come by and ask if we would like something else or how our food tasted. Very disappointed in the service. Having celiac and needing to be gluten free as a requirement not an option, this is the first restaurant I have been to that the waitress/waiter hasn’t stepped out and tried to see what they can do for me. It’s hard enough to go try new places but this put the nail in the coffin. No more eating out.
Never had a problem with lunch or dinner but the brunch was horrible! Out of fairness it's busy for Mother's Day, however the kids menu was super limited. I have a picky eater so when she ordered scrambled eggs off the kids menu, we did not expect that it would be mixed WITH the bacon. Ordered pancakes with nothing on them and a side of bacon. Forgot the bacon and gave them with everything on it. Sent it back and my daughter ended up eating most of my breakfast while waiting. Pancakes came when we were ready to pay. Toast came with the meal but no butter or jam. Had to ask twice for butter. They brought out some raspberry butter. Had to send the pancakes back because of the raspberry so not sure why we couldn't get regular butter. The waitress was nice but this was a colossal FAIL!
We uses to love the quality, quantity and value. The prices went up while it seems the taste and size portions went down. No more cashew chicken, lamb shank too much $, fries not as goos as before. Kids burger was hard. Its too bad because this used to be our top 5
Wait staff could have been more attentive, especially since the restaurant was not that busy.
