Elephant Bar Restaurant - Albuquerque
Brunch is offered on weekends 10am-2pm with brunch cocktails, patio dining, and delicious specialty brunch entrees.
We’ve kept the same, great Elephant Bar Restaurant exclusives you’ve come to love…but made them better, using only made-from- scratch methods and high-quality ingredients. Better menu items, new craft cocktails, new wine list, and new brunch cocktails. We’ve completely evolved. We can't wait to see you soon!
I met my friends that I have known since 4th grade. We got together in Albuquerque when I was visiting. Great happy hour prices. Fun times laughing about old memories.
Appetizer was slow to come out & manager came over to apologize & when it arrived after my entrée, she took it off the bill. It was excellent customer service & the food was great also. Will certainly go back next time I travel to ABQ.
Skimpy portions. Expensive.
We have been going to Elephant Bar for years. We decided to check out the "New" Happy Hour. The $6 bites are a rip off! I ordered coconut chicken and got five little shrimp the size of my pinky. My husband ordered shrimp tempura roll, again, 5 little slices. I did like my $2 gin and tonic but my husband was disappointed that margaritas aren't on happy hour anymore. There's other places to go that offer a much better happy hour.
Just popped in for a bite and had a great time
Soba noodles were not so fresh looking. Presentation was minimal. The vegetables were dried. Portion was a good amount. I’ll would come back and try other dishes on the menu.
Great variety on the menu. Good prices. Really enjoyed the "uptown" atmosphere.
It was my son's birthday and the wait staff was wonderful, giving both him and his 5-year-old son a complementary dessert! Great service and tasty food.
We sat at the table for 15 minutes before ever seeing a server. Service was very slow throughout the whole evening.
Service was not good they switched servers first server didn’t listen to orders and brought out whatever for drinks and then took forever to get drinks forgot appetizer portions were all over the place when people ordered same thing.
Excellent service. Another birthday celebration with my friends was so special, thanks to them and every team member who had anything to do with our meals. I used my free birthday dessert and a $10 Elephant Bar Reward for this meal and made the Brunch even more special (not gonna lie!) I love your Shrimp and Chicken Jambalaya 💖💖💖
Noble was great, as were the rest of the staff that we had interaction with
It was great because they were able to seat and serve a large group for Mothers Day. The table was ready and we were able to get right in. The seating was a little tight and we had young children as well as a stroller for a handicapped child so that was a little hare. The waitress was good but it took a little while before the food came and the kids got a little antsy. The portions were pretty small especially the pancake plate and the description was a little off. I realize they don't usually do breakfast so maybe that was the reason. I have been in there for other meals and it has been much better.
I made a reservation for 6 adults. The hostess working were NOT helpful. I were sat at a booth that was uncomfortable for 6 adults, very little arm room, and I was sitting literally on the edge. I asked to move to a table, and the hostess said that was saved for a party of 7. Made no sense that a party of 7 was given appropriate space, while my party of 6 was squished. I later asked my server (Tony I believe is her name), and she got a table cleaned after we ordered 3 appetizers, allowing us to enjoy our meal comfortably. My server was amazing and quite accommodating. The 3 hostess working need some more training. After it was all said and done, that table saved for 7 NEVER showed up and was used for a new party of 4.
This was a big night for me, my parents were meeting my fiancée’s parents for the first time. I picked Elephant Bar for this momentous occasion because we like the food and drinks, but this experience put a sour taste in my mouth based on the unaccommodating hostess staff.
Will not be going back.
Super slow service, mistake on bill. Pizza taste horrible
Great food and great service! Will go there again!
Our table was right next to the kitchen. I thought I was at Denny’s.
Arrived at 1025am for Brunch so we were the 2nd guests dining for the day. Tempura Sushi was great! Steak perfectly prepared. Jambalaya was delish. Server was friendly and always checked up on our small group of 3. Will definitely be returning.
Upon our arrival they were extremely confused about us using open table for reservations for our special event outing. They said they only check the open table reservations in the morning, so if I schedule in the afternoon they don’t know I’m coming. The hostesses went in for several minutes about this and it started to embarrass us in front of our company who we were treating to dinner. Finally they said they could seat us. The waiter was awesome and happened to be trading a young girl who did not smile until the end when we generously tipped them both. The food was delicious, the main waiter was awesome. Unfortunately, we sat at a table where the sun was beating in and even though the blinds were down the rays were making it uncomfortable to have a conversation with our guests. But overall, I would go back. I’m sure management will take into consideration reviews and help train staff to improve customer service.
Always a welcoming place with a diverse menu that has something for everyone. Good food at reasonable prices with good service. Doesn't feel like a chain restaurant.
This restaurant keeps changing their food and liquor menu and not for the better. The wines are poor quality and bitter, the food is nothing extraordinary and has gone way downhill. The best things that they make are no longer on the menu. Overall we will never be going there again. Not worth it at all.
Nice restaurant. Good service and food.I would go back.
Very good restaurant. Food has always been excellent and the service was very good, despite being very busy fir St Patrick's Day.
IMPORTANT!!! They DO NOT take reservations through Open Table! They had no idea what I was talking about. Do yourself a favor and call them!
The only negative comment I have was that the hostess was somewhat curt when we declined to sit next to the entrance. There were at least 10 tables within our view that were unoccupied and were the same size as the table where we were placed. Everything else was wonderful. Our server, Noble, was amazing! He was extremely friendly, made excellent suggestions and made up for the curtness of the hostess. The food and the drinks were great but truly, it was Noble that made our night.
Great food and large servings in a good shopping location, and good servers. But the place is extremely noisy! Hard to carry on a conversation just across the table.
A nearby restaurant with a different cuisine has curtained-off private areas that are quiet and semi-private. This bar does not, and it sufferes from that lack.
We usually love this restaurant: this weekend was my birthday and chose elephant bar to celebrate: the service was horrible
We have been going to Elephant Bar for years and up until recently, it has been a very well run establishment. However, this last visit was less than satisfactory. Upon arriving we were seated in a private booth, which I was initially pleased with. That is when it started going downhill. Our waiter arrived, took our drink orders and disappeared. Now I am a regular at restaurants and I always joke that waiters like to disappear in the waiter abyss. Well this guy really disappeared and I am not sure where he went. Oh, and heaven forbid that another waiter or waitress helps you! They ignore you as if you were never sitting there. Anyway, he finally came to our table with our water and took our orders. I asked him if it was still happy hour, he stated that happy hour only applied "in the bar area". Ok....fine. I ordered A SHORT beer, and food. The short beer came in an unusually small glass...more on that later. Then we waited.....and waited......and waited....and waited. I finally tracked our waiter down to ask what was the hold up. He just cavalierly stated "oh...lol...I guess the kitchen is backed up" BACKED UP! More like at a standstill! Anyway, I was ready to get up and leave when our food finally came. It was not good, the soup was served in a plate, the sushi was burned, my burger was not cooked the way I ordered it, the fries were under-cooked. I mentioned this to the server and the manager and they stated how sorry they were. They walked away and then silence..............I figured maybe they were adjusting my check. WRONG! They give me my check. $55.00. Ok, then I started going over the check and this is where I got really upset. $7.25 for a short beer! Not just a short beer, but smaller than a 12 oz glass beer! I was livid, complained and they stated that was the price for their short beers. I paid, left zero tip and walked out. I will not be returning to the Elephant Bar. I will tell others I know not to come here either.
Was crowded..but food was delicious..the food made up for the noise..an would lile to recommend the teriyaki chicken..was soo good..
Dirty floors throughout. Food came out at different times. Some was cold. Didnt have ribs. Felt very questionable about cleanliness
The steaks had no flavor. My girlfriends steak was not cooked to order. For such a high price, I expected better. Fellow restaurant owner/operator myself.
Maybe come up with a signature seasoningfor your steaks. I had other experiences that were far better at the elephant bar. First time I've ordered your steak. The service was great otherwise.
This was perfect for my fiancee's birthday. Thank you
LOVE the Elephant Bar. The entire staff make the experience unforgettable and the dishes our superior.
Orange Chicken wasn’t as good as I remembered it; chicken pieces were small and not tender.
Great food, exceptional service. I asked for a double portion of crab meat on my Crab Louie salad and they really did a nice job.
The restaurant was understaffed. We waited for at least 30 minutes just to place our drink order. After complaining to management, we were told that the restaurant had a few scheduled large groups as well as some unexpected large-number tables. The manager took one of the costs of an entre off our final bill. However, our overall experience was not favorable.
Celebrated birthdays, really fun place, fun drinks and good food.
We've been to this popular restaurant several times and have always had a delicious dinner and great service. This Thanksgiving we found ourselves in Albuquerque and Open Table had slots open. There were not that many restaurants that were open and I felt fortunate to have a found a place for our special dinner. We had a 7:00 reservation. I was thinking that the place would be packed, but there was hardly a patron to be found -we're talking chirp, chirp, tweet, tweet...We were seated immediately and service was great, since there was hardly anyone there. There was a special Thanksgiving meal offered as well as the usual menu items. All would have been fine except towards the end of our meal the lights were turned up, the music was turned down and the staff started decorating for Christmas! This included mopping the floor and putting garlands up. Not a pleasant end to our odd Thanksgiving dining experience. While we won't return here for a holiday meal, we might another time.
My family and I enjoyed having Thanksgiving dinner at your restaurant, however my wife and daughter being gluten free were a little sad that there was not an option for GF gravy. We ask our server if the Chef could make a gluten free gravy. Later he asked if au jus will suffice for the gravy, we agreed. The manager said they did not have a gluten free gravy which was strange to me knowing Elephant bar is a scratch kitchen. I myself being a Chef know it is not difficult to make a GF gravy. Overall, giving them the benefit of the doubt the manager and server were amazing and very approachable. Thanks for the great Thanksgiving dinner.
Restaurant was very noisy, service was poor, food was average.
ELEPHANT BAR in ABQ Uptown is always a good choice ... tasty food, handsomely-prepared, cordial and competent service. AND, they serve cold food on chilled plates. HUZZAH !!
