This was my first time dining at Elements. It lived up to all the positive things I had heard. The Elements salad was a delicious appetizer, and the Saigon noodle dinner plate was very different and light, but filling. I look forward to returning.

The food is always outstanding, the flavors are wonderful, and the Vietnamese overtones are unique. One of the best dining experiences, if not the best, in Chapel Hill.

had sushi here for 1st time ..magnificent. we've eaten sushi in a lot of places, this was the best.

My husband and I discovered this restaurant 1 year ago and have been back numerous times. We have recommended Elements to multiple friends, all whom have gone as a result of what we had to say, and have praised the restaurant as well. The food is consistently great, the presentation is creative and very attractive, the portions are plentiful, the menu is diverse and the service is consistently excellent. We can't wait to go back!

Took twenty minutes after reservation to be seated. Dirty silverware left at table. Produce used was fine. Sushi was ill-constructed. Pork was okay. Tables needed tablecloths to anchor the plates they used.

Wonderful food...whether small plates or meals. Fabulous softshell crabs at this meal. Chef was flexible re a sauce change on one meal. Lots of great options for every taste. Nice selection of by the glass wines and great by the bottle offerings. Noise level is HIGH but the food and service are exceptional. One of my favorite haunts near home.

We brought out of town guests who are “foodies” to dinner as we were confident everyone would find something appealing and satisfying on the menu. We were once again impressed with the options: one vegetarian, one pescatarian and 3 others w range of tastes all had delicious meals prepared with care toward special requests and all were beautifully presented. Scallops with gnocchi were still being discussed the next day. Based on range of experiences there , we highly recommend Elements for both lunch and dinner.

We had another excellent meal at Elements. The calamari, fish tacos, and spring rolls are so good that we shared them as our dinner, following bowls of soup as appetizers. The Crème Brûlée and apple fritters were excellent as well. We look forward to our next meal there!

Elements never disappoints! I have several food allergies and the chef and entire staff are so great about taking the extra steps to make sure I have an amazing meal !! It's one of our favorite places to eat! We love to sit at the bar area if there are 2-3 of us--if the whole family comes they have great table choices, too!! The food is extra amazing and my husband gets the special most of the time has always been incredibly satisfied. It is a neighborhood gem for sure!! And, run by an amazing family who are all invested in their product and great at taking care of you if you are first time diner or someone who comes back over and over, like us!!

Entrees were excellent— hot pot and walnut shrimp. Appetizer-spring rolls just OK. Good service and atmosphere. Very nice overall experience. Will return again.

Elements is one of those restaurants that every time I go there, I'm impressed. Food is always well prepared, creative, and beautifully presented. Prices are very reasonable in comparison to many other local restaurants. Given the fantastic culinary offerings throughout the Chapel Hill / Carrboro / Durham area, it's easy to get lured to "the newest thing", but if you're looking for a guaranteed fantastic meal in Chapel Hill, do yourself a favor and check out Elements.

We took our out-of-town friend to Elements for lunch last week. Everyone loved it. The food was delicious - spring rolls, chicken noodle soup, shrimp/scallops/wild rice, fish tacos, and crab cake sliders. Service was friendly, responsive and prompt. 1:30pm meant few customers - a quite and extended leisurely lunch. Finished with stroll over to Coco Bean for espresso, tea, and hot chocolate. Elements is our favorite Chapel Hill restaurant for special occasions. Can't wait to return. Always superb!

This was our first visit to Elements. We were both very pleased and will plan on a return visit the next time we're in Chapel Hill. Instead of ordering two main courses we opted to split four small plates. The coconut-based soup was outstanding as was the grilled cauliflower. The calamari was good but the slaw under the calamari was the real star of this dish. The tuna tacos were just OK. I would have ordered some sushi but it's only available Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The service was excellent.

Elements has some very unique menu items that will surely appeal to people. Creative to say the least. Sushi is good but portions are small (Ikura order....for $8 barely got 2 tablespoons) but fish was fresh. Rolls may be the better way to go. The hot entree's are very good, esp the shrimp. Nice atmosphere w excellent service.

Beautiful restaurant. Incredible and unique food. Menu changes regularly. Chef clearly has a passion for food and wants his customers to have a wonderful experience. I'll definitely be back!

I have gone to Elements many, many times and it is always good. Took my out of town son this time and he loved it. Delicious foods and beautifully presented. A special place to take someone or just go for a special dinner and nice atmosphere. Never fails to have good food.

They went above and beyond for my girlfriend's birthday/anniversary and Beatrice, our waitress, was great! The cocktail I got (which I can't quite remember the name of but it was the margarita on the menu) was the best margarita I've ever tasted and the food was decently portioned! Would definitely recommend for special occasions or if you're looking for a great, date night ambience.

Service was knowledgeable, accommodating, and timely (in an appropriate way). Can’t think of any ways to improve!

My friend and I met for dinner on a Tuesday night and the restaurant was already busy at 6 pm! we shared a delicious crispy calamari appetizer served on arugula slaw...all elements of the dish were spot on. Hot, slightly spicy, crispy and tangy. My friend had the JapChi and I had the small plate tuna tacos. We both enjoyed the freshness of the dishes and the lovely combination of flavors. Our server James was attentive and friendly, without being overboard. He was a definite positive addition to our lovely meal. We will certainly return to Elements!

Elements has never disappointed us in the past, and didn't this time either. We had a simple dinner - my wife had her favorite walnut prawns, I had the sea bream special, washed down with a bottle of Sancerre - but food preparation and presentation were flawless. Truly a neighborhood gem!
