Elements Ratings and Reviews
Our group of five is always looking for a new place to celebrate our birthdays and decided to return to Elements for a second time because the experience was so positive the first time. Our waiter, Matthew Scott, was also our waiter the first time and he was as perfect as on our initial visit. We were not disappointed on any level and look forward to another visit soon.
Really excellent service and creative, very well presented dishes made this an excellent dining experience. Very good advice on the wine. Quality scotch and bourbon selections available but not a lengthy selection. The dining environment was very comfortable with fresh flowers on the table.
Food was outstanding in a comfortable atmosphere. Dishes were flavorful and sized well- not too heavy but plenty. Creative combinations of Asian fusion. Presentation was extremely well done. Service was outstanding and food arrived quickly. Trust their wine recommendations! Looking forward to returning. Worth the drive from Raleigh and easy parking.
We have enjoyed meals at Elements a number of times in the past, but New Years Eve dinner was disappointing. Oysters just covered in a cheese sauce, lobster salad was good, seafood and beef entree over cooked and dry. We waited over 20 minutes for a "hot" chocolate molten pudding only to receive a room temperature over cooked cake with powered sugar on top. I had the wine pairing and the wines were poorly selected and matched. Over all a real let down for a $180 dinner (plus tax and tip).
The wait for our reservation was over 30 mins. Way too long. Then it was another 45 mins. Before our drink order was taken. Our waitperson was very nice but had too many tables to take care of. Once our orders were placed, the food came reasonably quickly and was very good. They seemed to be unprepared for a New Year’s Eve crowd.
New Year's Eve dinner was 4 courses with wine pairings. Simply outstanding from poached oysters to a lobster salad to choice of Beef Wellington or Salmon to a wonderful chocolate dessert . Everything was cooked to perfection and excellent presentation. The wine pairing were spot on. Their regular menu is exceptional as well...
We requested a quiet table and were pleasantly surprised to be seated in a quiet alcove off the main dining room of the restaurant. Our guests had a couple of special requests due to dietary restrictions, and these requests were accommodated graciously. Food was well presented and arrived as described on the menu. The miso soup, which was an accompaniment to two of the entees was lack luster and lukewarm. However, my husband’s pho with beef tenderloin was particularly flavorful and deliciously aromatic.
superlative service, imaginative menu but execution was disappointing. Salmon in pastry was over cooked and looked a little lost on the large plate without accompaniments. Bread rolls are beautiful to look at but much too sweet. the seafood dish looked messy and all I could taste was soy sauce, altogether disappointing as we had heard rave reviews and it was a special occasion.
Currently my favorite restaurant in Chapel Hill. Creative menu, fitting for the season. Roasted cauliflower with quinoa and cranberries is absolutely fantastic as are their lamb chops. Wine list is excellent (also decent selection of open wines if you just want a glass). If you are a sushi fan, make sure you come on a sushi night (sushi not available all nights to guarantee freshness). Menu is very creative whether you decide to have a main or several small plates. Super friendly and helpful waitstaff.
As always, Elements is our favorite restaurant in Chapel Hill. It is excellent for every day dining or special events like anniversaries.
Your staff is always friendly and really knows and explains the different courses that are available.
As always, thank you, Rick Every
The food was awesome and the service was top-drawer. Any entree on the menu can be adapted to meet the wishes of the customers. On the down side, the noise level was high and there was little structure to absorb sound. Otherwise the decor was comfortably modern and easy on the eyes.
