The food are truly the finest fusion of Asian and Western cuisines. The lamp chops are tasty with the Asian BBQ sauce. The hot pot with the undon noddles included a lobster tail is outstanding. The walnut prawn dish is prepared perfectly. That night, we sat in the wine room. The noise level was almost unbearably high at one point. In our previous dinners, we sat in the main dinning room. The noise level was somewhat lower. The server and the cashier are most friendly and helpful.
We went to celebrate our 27th anniversary and were expecting a great experience, based on the reviews. The food was good, but not terrific. We ordered the Russian sushi roll, fine but not outstanding. The shrimp walnut was the best thing that we ordered. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I will try another place before coming back here.
This was our 4th dinner at Elements and did not meet our expectations, but was still quite good. There was not the usual special fish selection, which in the past has been excellent. The prawns were over dressed with sauce, and not as flavorful as past offerings. The service was average if not surly. We will go back for another diner, and hope they are back to their usual excellence.
Truly an excellent, memorable meal. We had the Chinese New Year special, which was a four course meal. It was exceptional. Every bite.
The Service was absolutely outstanding; my girlfriend didn't want mushrooms in a dish, and of course the waiter happily complied. What surprised me was the fact that he remembered later on that night. When I said and "by the way"... cuts me and said "and no mushrooms for the lady" Amazing.
The service was impeccable, the food superb, & the atmosphere pleasurable.
Elements is a semi casual restaurant with an unusual menu. They offer an Asian fusion style menu chock full of unexpected flavors nicely presented in a high style. The staff is attentive yet not overbearing. My most recent visit was Valentines day and it was a pleasant experience. I previously arranged a dinner for extended family in honor of my mother's 90th birthday. It was a huge hit with the entire family and many complimented me on the the whole event. The staff was efficient, accommodating and really helpful during the entire affair. I highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic occasion, events or a casual night out with great food. There are options for all tastes and everything is prepared with care, talent and skill. This isn't the cheapest venue in Chapel Hill but it is good value and a wonderful taste experience.
We had a great meal and service at Element. Everyone enjoyed the dish and staff was great. Bartender could mix a proper drink.
far exceeded our expectations , we did the tasting menu with wine pairing....great, look forward to trying selections from the main menu.
As always, the evening was wonderful, the food was superb and the service was first rate. We've NEVER been disappointed in any way. Kudos abound!!
Great as usual
The food was really quite excellent and my wife loved her wine. We picked a night when there was a sudden problem with heat, which could not be fixed by our visit, so the overall rating is perhaps unfairly decreased a bit. Service was great and they accommodated our desire to split a small plate and a main dish very amenably. Nice serving touches, such as heated Benedictine and brandy. Worth the extra cost.
Elements met every check box on our dining "must haves" list! It was highly recommended by some recent transplants from that ehhh unique state of California. Our reservations were at 6:00 and we seated promptly even though we arrived a bit early.
Wait staff attentive but not pushy. Cocktails were created and served as they were meant to be.
Can't say enough about the presentation of the entrees and the size of the portions!
Food was excellent and paired well with the sides and sauces. Prawns, Chicken and Specials were heavenly!
The negatives...very loud by end of dinner. It was very hard to have a normal conversation with friends so we left a bit earlier than we usually do and had drinks at another establishment.
We will continue to frequent Elements hoping that the noise issue was an outlier.
My favorite restaurant in the Triangle. Awesome food and service! The homemade rolls are out of this world, the sushi is great and you can’t go wrong with any of the small or large plates. I had the halibut special, my wife had the diablo chicken (and I had it again as leftovers the next day) and my daughter had the filet cubes (I don’t recall the name of the Asian dish but she loved it!).
Also, the Elementinis were very tasty!
I highly recommend Elements. You won’t be disappointed.
Lovely staff, wonderful atmosphere, and for the price the experience was well worth it. Not to mention the food was just spectacular. A friend of mine who has never enjoyed sushi could barely speak after trying a roll. Highly recommend. Especially for a date.
I would give Elements a 4.5/5. The food and service are excellent. This is a special occasion venue. We spent over $200 for a party of 4.
Always love this restaurant, but there are two drawbacks: the tables are very high (or the seats very low) and some of the seats (ours this time) are not terribly comfortable, although they are very attractive.
The best restaurant in Chapel Hill. The waits are attentive, knowledgeable about the food and helpful when trying to make a decision as to which superb item to try. And the food is creative and incredibly wonderful. If you want to impress someone, this is the place to take them.
We've been to Elements about 5 times and the food is consistently excellent. The walnut prawns are a favorite but really everything is good. Try it!
Great small plates! Love the Wine Station!
