Elements Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The pizza is always good. The lemon baked shrimp appetizer was salty. No asparagus fries even though listed on menu. We wish American waiters would take a cue from French and observe discreetly rather than interrupting multiple times. It remains one of best places in Logan for a nice, adult meal.
We met our USU attending daughter and her roommate here at Elements before heading to the theater on a Friday evening. I love the atmosphere and decor here and stop in 3-4 times a year as we drive up from Ogden.
No restaurant ever nails every dish every time, regardless of price point (except for maybe In-N-Out) but elements gets it pretty good nearly every time. We had great service and all four entrees were very tasty. Still one of my favorite places to eat.
Our waiter was named Angel. He was stellar. Very attentive, very friendly, very tuned in to our needs. He was a real pleasure.
The food was generally satisfactory. The mashed potatoes were a little cold and pasty (over-mashed) - it was obvious they had been cooked some time before being served - but that’s no big deal. I would simply suggest they be made in smaller, more frequent batches. And hand mashed. The green beans were amazing. The meatloaf is always wonderful. And the steaks were perfectly cooked. The mahi-mahi was “meh.” The mahi-mahi was serviceable, but not particularly special. None of this should be taken as complaining, just offering some general feedback.
At the risk of sounding like a whiner, I received a fork that was obviously dirty. Stuck on food. But that sort of thing just happens occasionally.
Overall, we had a very nice time. Angel, in particular, deserves some acknowledgment for his fine service.
The quality of food at the Elements is fantastic. The only issue I had was a lack of clarity from the waiter and from the menu on what was included and at what price. The information we received from the waiter did not seem to match what was on the menu. Again, the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was very comfortable. We will return.
Very varied menu allows for a range of food options. We were a group of 6 and I don't think any of us had a typical meal. I like a restaurant that is so customer-centered that just says ok when you ask for something slightly not on the menu. Also the service was just right, attentive but not overbearing.
Unfortunately, our dining experience was terrible. Two of us ordered hot chocolate and it came out cold. Not even lukewarm. We sent it back to be heated up and it still came out cold. We gave up and didn't drink them, so that was a waste of money. I ordered the half chicken dinner and the garlic mashed potatoes weren't warm at all. They had been sitting out a long time. The asparagus on top of them was not warm either. The gravy/sauce that went with it also wasn't warm. That left the chicken, which was hot, but very tough and unappetizing. I ate a few bites and left the rest. I would have asked for it to be heated, but our server never came to check on us and we never saw her during our meal. Another person in our party ordered the ribeye steak, which was almost $30. It was very thin and overcooked. If you're going to charge that much for a steak dinner, you should cook it according to the order and it should at least be thicker. Longhorn Steakhouse can do it much better and cheaper. The third dinner was a filet dinner and although the filet was ok, there was an unappetizing sauce poured over it and the potatoes were cold on that plate also. That leaves the butternut squash ravioli which was bland. We ordered desserts and the chocolate souffle was not a souffle at all. It was served like a lava cake from Chili's. The only thing that was ok about the food was the appetizers, which was shrimp cocktail and Thai lettuce wraps. If I ever go there again, I'll stick with the appetizers and stay away from the entrees and desserts. Our server never checked on us and never asked how the food was. She only came around to give us the check. When we ordered we asked her opinion on which was the best food and we ordered according to her suggestions. We shouldn't have done that. Very poor experience.
I took my family out to eat. We were sat in a booth with torn seats. The floor was pretty dirty with lots of food bits about. The steaks are not dry aged and a better steak can be had at Texas Road House but the noise level there is very annoying.
Our server was very good though and I left a good tip for her. Otherwise the meal was good. Not great steaks if you are a Connoisseur. Dry or wet aging a beef improves flavor and tenderness. It is starting to get run down and will need fixes and updates to maintain it's up town Logan status.
Waitstaff were friendly, polite, professional, and attentive.
Salad was decent.
Appetizers were delicious
Pizza was bland. Low Grade mozzarella made surface oily. Tomatoes were very average flavor. Crust was good, but the Basil....it was only a very small pinch of dried basil
around the center. Didn't add anything to the flavor, and it would have helped.
The Fish was delish.
And the mixed drink was the best my wife had ever had in Logan, but the wait-staff didn't ask if she wanted another ( she would have had another ), good and bad.
We will return.
We were in the area due to the Total Eclipse and needed a nice place to relax after our adventure. The place was very welcoming and the service was attentive. The food was amazing and the prices were even more amazing (very affordable). I highly recommend if you are in the area to give Elements Restaurant at Riverwoods a try; you'll be happy you did.
We enjoyed our food. Nice selection. I appreciate being able to substitute. I just wish they would have sung happy birthday to my daughter! We went their to celebrate her golden birthday and she didn't get treated any special then anyone else. No free drink, dessert, or anything...I guess you don't do that there. I wish I had known, we would have went somewhere else for that celebration.
This is a great place to eat prior to the Logan Opera Festival performances. It's convenient to downtown and service is very good. We had hoped to eat outdoors along the river but it was a bit too warm on that particular day. The staff was very accommodating and relocated us at a table indoors with a lovely view. Food servings are generous and the quality was very good. We especially enjoyed the salads.
Food and service was above average but Logan Utah apparently has very, very strange rules regarding liquor. A vodka martini must have vermouth in it or it becomes just an ounce of vodka in a martini glass. Pours are strictly restricted and very small. Good place for teetotalers only.
The food has spiraled down from excellent when we last dined here two years ago to mediocre tonight. Fried appetizers soggy and greasy. Sauce on scallops so salty, almost inedible.
Service good and great atmosphere, but would not return until kitchen gets its act together.
Located on the banks of the Logan River, Elements is a beautifully designed restaurant with wonderful outdoor seating adjacent to the river which was running swift and high this time of the year. Prices are very reasonable compared to Salt Lake City. We we up in Logan for the theater and wanted a very nice Friday night meal, which we received. Three of the group had steak specials and one had the fish special. The Logan Mule and Espresso Martini are great choices as is the Asparagus appetizer (plenty for 4). The only minor complaint is that the appetizer and salads arrived together and the meal was close behind. More spacing would have been desirable. Otherwise we had a great experience in a scenic location at reasonable cost.
We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary at Elements. The food was delicious and our waitress was attentive but not a bother. It was a little noisy but that is because of a group next to us had a loud person. I would recommend Elements and hope to return soon.
Our reservation was for 8am Saturday morning. When we arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes early, the doors were locked. A sign indicated the restaurant did not open till 9 o'clock. This was a very disappointing experience. We were hungry, so we did not wait the extra hour but rather ate at a Nother restaurant in town.
The setting outside was beautiful. Wish we could have been seated and eaten there.
While others at my apartment complex are currently reporting good experiences, ours was not and we will not be returning. In the past we've enjoyed Elements. Not sure what went wrong. There are other, more reliably consistent restaurants in Logan. I left a more detailed review on TripAdvisor.
Karina did a good job and was kind and polite. (P.S. This parenthetical note is to meet the minimum character count for a review on this survey. The requirement to write a long review on this website should be eliminated; it should allow for short comments rather than requiring a full review)
I was hopeful that this would be a good experience, it was not. Recently had dinner there with 2 friends - stay away from all the pasta - drowning in sauce (cream sauce btw). Took 45 minutes for 2 plates of pasta and a pizza. The chip appetizer was good - but again drowning in sauce. Atmosphere was stuffy and loud. Our server was very nice though. May give one more chance if I am here again but not sure.
This lunch meeting was wonderful to hold at Elements. We were able to conduct business with the smallest degree of interruption. Our server was great and willing to help us with all of our needs and orders. We loved the room and the privacy we felt while in there. It was also great to be able to reserve it ahead of time to reduce our wait time. Thanks for accommodating us so thoroughly.
Although the ambiance and the service was good, the food tasted like cafeteria food. We ordered the Mahi Mahi with a rice pilaf and the plate was full of rice with a tiny piece of Mahi Mahi for $18.00. The steak was also less than average and lacked flavor. Although I never leave bad reviews, I was definitely disappointed with the quality of the food.
