Delicious, perfectly breaded and cooked fish and chips.
Terribly disappointed in our New Year’s Eve dinner at Elements in Logan.
I made reservations and confirmed it was the buffet with one of the reservation gals, but when we arrived we found out we didn’t have reservations for the buffet but for the regular dinner instead - STRIKE ONE!
After being seated we were told they didn’t have any salads, which something we looked forward to and thought they would have on a busy night like that. NOPE! - STRIKE TWO!
My wife ordered an Italian Cream Soda, but our waitress told us they were out of cream. Again, on a busy night like that? - STRIKE THREE!
We should have left at strike three, but we pressed on thinking it couldn't get worse... IT DID!
Our steaks came out and mine was cooked to perfection but my wife's was more rare than she wanted - STRIKE FOUR!
Then, I was 1/3 of the way through my steak and loving its flavor when I suddenly felt something strange on my lips... it was a long black hair that was attached to the steak. When I find hair in my food, I immediately become sickened and I lose my appetite on the spot, and that happened that night - STRIKE FIVE!!!
I WAS DONE!!!!!
I didn't want to make a scene, as angry as I was, so I did get a new fresh steak. I couldn't eat right then and there but because I lost my appetite, so I had it prepared to take home. My wife also got a newer steak.
Suffice it to say, after our experience at Elements, we will not going back any time soon... if ever.
Food was very good, service was excellent and very personable.
I will definitely return and tell friends and family to choose Elements as well!
Great way to end the old year and start the new. Great food and service.
The current menu is not so extensive as previously, but there are a few things that I like, and one can eat only one meal at a time. So it just means that there are not so many items that I do not order. The food was very good, attractively presented, and satisfying. I am sure that we shall be back.
We thought we had dinner reservations at Elements restaurant. Never informed our seating would be in an open convention hall of hotel, not restaurant. Extremely loud. It would have been helpful to know how far we were going to have to walk to our table as my husband is disabled. Maybe in the future when reservations are being taken the suggestion to enter the opposite side of the building would be helpful. Waited at table for 15 minutes before walking back to front hostess stand to ask for a server. Another 5 minutes went by and a server did attend to us the best she could. Obviously overbooked and understaffed, she had limited ability to attend to our table timely. She was however, very delightful, pleasant and eager to please. The circumstances were out of her control. The food was good but had some temperature issues. Plate of food room temp and dessert/pie not thawed, served frozen solid. We had so looked forward to dining here but honestly can’t say it was the best experience. Maybe will try again but for regular dinner service, not a holiday dinner.
Best place to eat out for Thanksgiving dinner! Keep it up elements.
I use to love the restaurant, but a few of my favorite items are now gone including the baby spinach salad and gaufrette potato chips. Unfortunately on this visit, the prime rib wasn’t very tender. Waitress and team were very nice though!
It was pretty good but we were served raw chicken and had to wait for second entree to be prepared.
Even with reservations it took 15 minutes to be seated. 2 people in our party never got their salad. The server proposed a dessert as a substitute since the kitchen was behind. Both people declined and said they still wanted their salad. Even after 4 requests they never did receive it. 2 of our party did not like the steak because it was too salty. This is the third time in a row I have had a bad experience. It is my last time going there.
Believe our waiter had more than service on his mind. Service is usually much better.
Service was a little hit or miss and I’m not sure I get the appeal of the strawberry jam (roll was definitely not impressive). But...we did all like our entrees (1/2 roast chicken, pizza and salmon).
The service was outstanding and the food delicious. We were a group of eight women from out of town and our waitress handled us with aplomb. She was attentive and professional and the wine server equally so. I would highly recommend this restaurant and it is near to Marriott Spring Hill Suites [where I wish we had stayed].
The food was good. Prime rib was a little over cooked. Salad had great presentation and house dressing is delicious. Veggies were cooked tender crisp, just the way I like them. I loved the mashed potatoes. All in all, a great dining experience.
All that needs to be said is...Yummmmmm! We'll definitely return the next time we're in town.
Our server Isaac was very attentive and the food was great! Great atmosphere as well. We had a great time and it was the perfect place to bring our business clients.
Has taken a downturn with new ownership/mgmt/chef. Higher prices, fewer options, fewer specials.
Savanna, our server was great! Food was delicious. We had a nice relaxing meal.
The appetizer was terrible. Are friends with us had it couple days before a sad it was nice and fresh. When we had it chips were stale and dip was watery and no taste!
Thanks for hosting us!
We enjoyed the bruschetta appetizer with the pesto and tomato jam! Also the strawberry jam aeevwd with the rolls was exceptional! We all enjoyed the entrees. Summer Berry salad, gnocchi pasta with butternut, arugula and mushrooms and last but not least the white out pizza. Sam was a fantastic waitress and very timely with refills and service.
I used to live in Providence and my husband and I went to Elements on a regular basis and always loved it. I was very disappointed to see such an ordinary menu compared to before.....bring back the class! It irritated me when our server leaned against one side of the booth where I couldn't see her...too casual. I miss the old Elements, especially the specials like the $2 desserts at lunchtime, $1 draft beers on Thursdays....and fabulous pizza, which apparently is not any more. Too bad.
Food was delicious. Waiter brought salad and soup after main meal. Not good. Also waiter needed help to maintain clearing the table of dirty dishes. There were eight of us and dishes were all over the place. Needed cleared up as soon as they were empty.
Elements was a wonderful experience! We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer, they were delicious! We got some fresh rolls with our food, the rolls were perfectly soft and huge. The strawberry jam was a perfect addition to the rolls. The salad was good and the vegan vegetable soup was yummy! I got the salmon BLTA, perfection! Salmon was perfect and got a slice of pickle on the side of my sandwich. Husband ordered the half chicken roast. The potatoes and carrots were good. The chicken was cooked to a soft and yummy perfection! The ONLY complaint I have is about my plate, which is silly, the plate was warped just a bit so it wobbled some. That was the only thing I could think of to complain about. The experience was about a half an hour long. We had a reservation and things moved along quickly. That didn’t bother us at all. It allowed us to make it out and do more together for our anniversary. Larger groups that are wanting to chat between foods, may have a problem with that. We thought it was perfect for our small group of two.
Entree was served too soon. We had just started to eat our appetizer when the entree arrived . The food , however was very good .
Experience was tainted by the fact that I felt rushed. We had a reservation for 6:00 and were seated immediately. Our drink ordered was requested just as we were seated. Then the bread arrived and our drinks quickly. At that time the waitress explained the specials. She walked away but came back after about 2 minutes and asked if we were ready to order. We placed our order and in less than 5 minutes our soup arrived. We had our soup for just a few minutes when our main course arrived so we had to alternate between soup and main course. Before we were finished with our main course she stopped by to ask about dessert. I had received a coupon for a free one so we made a selection. A few minutes later our check arrived, before we even received our dessert and our plates had not been removed. We enjoyed the dessert and then paid the check. We were walking out of the restaurant at 6:50. There were still open tables in the restaurant and no waiting list when we left so couldn’t understand the speedy service.
We do tend to eat quickly and don’t really dawdle over dinner but I think this was a little too rushed.
We ate outside which was maybe a little noisier than it would have been otherwise, but our waiter was amazing. The food was amazing, too. Best steak I've ever had. I asked for well done and it was perfect. Would definitely return.
Dining on the river is the highlight of this experience.
What a great place in a small town. I was there twice in the same week.
The service was wonderful from two different servers. The food was consistent and plentiful.
Hit and Miss
The roast chicken was excellent, as was the sweet tomato, pesto crustini, however the lettuce qraps were only average. Both my husband and I had massive stomach aches all night long after eating here which dampened the experience for us and considering it was our anniversary that was no fun at all!
The chips app was so watery that was like eating broth only good part of the meal was the grill cheese. No dinner special for dinner not a sign of a good chef
They were out of the dish my wife had been looking forward to getting for our anniversary, she asked if she could get a certain side also and the server indicated they may be out of the main dish but had plenty of the side. Then he came back and said yes they were out of the main. She found something else, asked for same side and he came back and said they also did not have that side even though he said they had plenty a few minutes before. So we were disappointed where we were having our 20 anniversary dinner. He was pretty matter of fact and not too caring.
Our dinners were very good. The menu is very versatile. Something for everyones tastes. LOVE THE Kamakazi salmon.
Vert attentive, excellent menu selection with reasonable prices, Halibut Fish and Chips was outstanding. We’ll be back next time we’re in Logan.
It was decent. However I ordered the same meal I’d had a week or so before and it didn’t taste at all the same. It wasn’t nearly as good, the inconsistency in their food is worry some only because you don’t know if each time you go if it’ll be the good time or the not so good time. Service was really great though and the manager was very kind.
The service was quick, the food was absolutely fantastic, and the portions were fair for the price and quality.
The only negative was the proximity of other diners and their loud conversations. It's a very large restaurant and I would have appreciated more distance between us and the other guests.
Wonderful food, though, and we'll definitely be back.
I would recommend Elements to a friend. The food was good, we had a very odd waiter (male with long dark hair).
We were seated quickly. Service was prompt, and efficient. Our meals were prepared as requested. No complaints here.
Savannah, our server, was wondeful. A definite asset.
