El lugar es muy acogedor y el personal estuvo siempre al pendiente de nuestras necesidades, solicitamos cambio de mesa y fueron muy amables para darnos el cambio pues buscábamos ver el atardecer en la laguna que pudimos disfrutar muy gratamente. Todo fue perfecto, sólo nos gustaría que las sillas fueran más cómodas y movibles pues al estar duras y fijas al piso no nos permitían estar juntos, por eso pedimos cambio de mesa,, ojala las puedan cambiar, el lugar es hermoso!! y el personal muy amable y con mucha disposición.

Best food in Cancun

Tasty Indian food with a variety of options in a very trendy setting with great views of the lagoon. Portions are just right if you don’t want leftovers, but overall small for the price.

Outstanding ambiance, very private with each table under an open thatched roof hut and over the lagoon. Saw a crocodile swim by. Food is not typical Indian. Limited menu but adequate. Some dishes good but others mediocre. Naan, dal, chicken dishes were good. Veg choices limited and nice presentation but taste could’ve been better.

Having been to Elefanta we were looking forward to the meal. Overall, all the Indian dishes were yummy. View was great. The sushi menu was very pricey and we avoided it. They switched to an IPAD to order the Indian dishes but had only one item per page and > 70 items on the menu. Thus it was very unwieldy and unfriendly to order. We did enjoy the food however. We ordered two different Nan dishes. They brought us one with the meal and one that was the wrong one 10 minutes after they had cleared our dishes at the end of the meal....truly. Interestingly it took so long to get a dessert menu, that my children and wife left to go to the ice cream store to get dessert. Comically, they then brought out a piece of cake well after they grew restless and had left and I was left there all alone to eat the nice treat from the restaurant. Thus, service glitches were definitely part of the meal Grade A for Indian food and view. Grade C for bizarre services glitches

Service was impeccable. Food very good. We did notice ingredients repeated in subsequent dishes in the tasting menu which was slightly disappointing. The chocolate cake with the tasting menu was not as moist as I would prefer. The treats you get complimentary at the end are great! We appreciated the writing on the cake plate congratulating us! Thank you!

We love to get to the restaurant before sunset, so we can enjoy the view from the water as we start our meal. We have ordered from both the Indian menu and Sushi menu. Every item we have tried been very good. The service is always very attentive and friendly. This is one of the few places we go to every year when in Cancun. Great food at a reasonable price.

Probably the best Indian restaurant in Cancun with one of the best spot in town! It was very beautiful and very good food!

Very expensive and very little choice on the menu 15% service charge automatically added to the bill. Lovely location for a meal though.

2nd visit and still good.
The food here is just amazing. It just lacks some atmosphere. There never seems to be many people there when we go. Maybe we are going at the wrong time.
Other restaurants we have vitiated have been packed.

Was on holiday in cancun and came across this wonderful Indian restaurant in la Isla mall.
Great food and surroundings was beautiful.
Staff was excellent and drinks was very nice.

Great dining on Cancun! My boyfriend and I went twice during our trip. The ambience was really nice with over-water seating that feels very private. The food was excellent - try the lychee martini.

Service is not up to par with Cancun hospitality. The food is mediocre at best.
The best part of this dining experience is the location right on the lagoon. Highly romantic in the evening with its low level lighting. Plus a perfect sunset viewing location assuming you don’t get the table behind the tree.

While such great service as co-owned Thai that is adjacent to elefante, the experience was a real let down. We were looking forward to some authentic Indian food and the other patrons gave us confidence in a pretty setting. Unfortunately, when the apps came they were all lukewarm at best. We tolerated this but when our main courses came out also lukewarm, I had some concern that the food wasn’t cooked enough. Our waiter pretty much disappeared after the apps with servers bringing the food so he only returned after we complained. Finally, another chicken dish and naan came out piping hot but why didn’t this happen beforehand. The waiter gave us a 10% discount to try and make up for it but it was pretty ridiculous that he also added a 15% mandatory tip. No one did get sick and the food was okay but the experience wasn’t

Food was great. A bit pricey. They didn’t give us a table by the lagoon, and table wasn’t ready when we got there even though we made a reservation.
Overall a nice place for much needed Indian food :)

Lovely setting along the lagoon. We arrived at sunset so the colours of the sky reflecting on the water were very beautiful. We were seated in a private booth so it was quiet and peaceful. The ambiance was highlighted by the soft lighting at night. The wait staff were friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. We would definitely return on our next vacation in Cancun. We noticed there were a few mosquitoes biting our legs so the staff brought us bug repellant and coverings for our legs immediately.

Inexperienced waiter. Food quality is poor. Chicken was not fresh. If you are looking for tasty Indian food look elsewhere.

1st time. Wow a great experience. The setting is beautiful. We had a table right over the water. The servers were excellent. The white wine list is very poor. We found something barely drinkable that brought down the taste of the food. However we will bring our own wine next time. I would highly recommend this fine restaurant.

El mejor restaurante de comida Hindú en Cancún. Deliciosos platillos vegetarianos con una espectacular vista a la laguna.

Food was good at best. The waitress did not know anything about their wines . It was a special occasion and they were going to overcharge me by 50 dollars for an item that we did not get . If I hadn't caught it because it is difficult to tell they don't always put in the correct items ordered. Oh and the tip is already included. Which irked me. They refunded the overcharge and gave m part of the tip back but at the end of a meal spending that much time to correct really ruins the night.
I wouldn't recommend and would not go back to eat there. The busboy was actually nice and more knowledgeable than the waitress. We did leave him a separate tip .

This place never fails to deliver. I love the location on the lagoon side. If you go try to get a water side table. The Indian food is always very tasty. Tried the new Sushi menu this time and it was great. Every time we go we are always so impressed with how friendly and helpful the wait staff are.

Set right on the lagoon, beautiful view at sunset, lovely ambiance and can do shopping and walking around in the fancy La Isla mall in Cancun where it is located.

Wait staff were not attentive. Never filled water glass. When serving us, they would be talking amongst themselves instead of engaging us in conversation.

Restaurant has an excellent location on the lagoon and takes full advantage of it. The menu has a good variety of selections and the portions are reasonably sized and have authentic flavors. The watermelon mojito I had was very delicious. The service is relatively attentive and there were no issues with language barriers. The overall value is tremendous, considering you can easily spend just as much on popular chain setup in the States that only gives you a view of a neighboring half vacant strip mall while serving less flavorful food.
