We always keep a few tables open for walk-ins.

This is a nice little neighbourhood spot. If I lived nearby I would probably be getting take-out on a regular basis. The food and service were very good, and the prices were good. My friends and I will all visit again, but next time we will sit on the patio where the music did not seem to be as loud. It was a good selection of tunes, but the music was so loud we had to yell at each other to be heard.

Should increase their stock for the butter fried chicken. They always run out of it by 8 30 or 9. Sad, because everyone goes there for that and gets disappointed

our server was excellent he had this cajan/bayou accent, very good. The cauliflower was yummy, fried chicken - I've had better, but everything else was scrumptious!

Friendly service, great local beer on tap, I would recommend the brisket sandwich, coleslaw and the hush puppies appetizer. We would definitely eat here again!

Great food, horrible service. Either the server was spaced out or just plain bad but she took ages to get anything, forgot items we ordered, charged them to us anyway, would be doing her own thing while many tables needed something including ours. It's a shame because the food is really good here

Seated outside during wind storm despite having made reservation weeks in advance. Needed to take our food to go. When we got home we noticed we didn’t have all of the food we ordered. Went back to pick it up and had to wait an hour for 2 items. So disappointing.

Came in for a reservation at 7:30 on a Saturday. We arrived on time for it and were told that unfortunately it would take about 10 minutes before our table would be clean. The hostess was very apologetic about the mistake and assured to make it up to us by making sure my friend who's birthday we were celebrating would be well taken care of.
Unfortunately for us, we waited approximately 20-25 minutes outside in the cold for our seats, and the promise of making it up was either forgotten or just not passed on to our waitress. We enjoyed our cocktails and the food was great, however it was nothing special in terms of environment and service. We were seated by the entrance near the door so we also ended up having to deal with a constant cold breeze from the doors being consistently opened from traffic.

The fries were absolutely terrible. There's no seasoning at all, they taste cold and stale and completely disgusting, you'd have to be drunk to eat it. Me and my girlfriend dint even finish 1/5 of it.
Service was basic, getting the cheque took over 10 minutes alone and seems like 1 person can only do it and or know how it works so.
The burger was ruined by the tastes less and dry slaw but the meat itself was really decent, we removed the slaw and ate the burger and enjoyed it.
Wing night, which was nice actually probably the star of the food so to speak. Those were nice and would recommend them

Went with spouse and our adult kids. Very busy place, so recommend reservation. Decent BBQ, but ambiance was frantic - we sat by the front door which was constantly opening and closing with a loud bang, letting cold air in. The had run out of white wine except Riesling. I think we prefer Barq on Roncesvales.

Service was great. We were seated in the covered patio area which was chilly even though there were heaters. They provided blankets which was a good idea but we were all still very cold. I wouldn't return in the winter/spring. Will come back in the summer.

Awesome that they take reservations now. Service is awesome and super friendly (not stuck up hipster as some places close by) They changed the menu and some favourites are now gone. The new menu is not as shareable and some of the entree portions are on the small side with no accompaniments for the price (like the shrimp) but the food is super tasty

The service was nice, the people work there were really friendly. However, the food quality was a bit off tonight. We ordered the ribs, shrimp and beef brisket bun.. Both me and my friend think the BBQ sauce on the ribs were a but too strong, and the shrimp were too salty..

Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations. The pork ribs weren't quite as "fall off the bone" as I like, and the Buffalo Cauliflower was so heavily saturated with spice I couldn't taste the vegetable under it, which was a shame. The texture was great thought, and the flavour of everything was very good. I would certainly go back.

For a "BBQ" place it was pretty disappointing...
Do you have a platter so we can sample? - No
Can I order the brisket on it's own (not in a sandwich)? - No
Can we try the Rib Ends as an app? - No, we sold out last night.
Wow. For a BBQ place the emphasis did not appear to be on the BBQ food.
I've been to plenty of BBQ places all across the US and several in the GTA, and this was far and away the most disappointing. I asked for the brisket without the bread to really get a feel for how good it was and it still came smothered in special sauce, crispy onions, & cheddar cheese!
If you've never had real BBQ before, it might be a novelty.
On the bright side, the service was friendly, music lively and their own beers were good.

Had a hankering for some BBQ and there aren't a lot of credible options this far north. Gave it a try. Dinner for two with tip was 55, so not breaking banks but not dirt cheap. Food was ok but for a man that loves BBQ and was hoping to get blown away. Did not happen. Good and friendly service. Not in a rush to go back for just that though. For me this would be a shrug to go back if someone else made the suggestion.

Service was great - no complaints at all. The food was the major disappointment. Blackened fish sandwich tasted like it was made from frozen fish (mushy), and the sandwich lacked depth of flavour. The brisket sandwich my wife had was dry and tasteless.

This was unfortunately the first dinner I've booked for myself/my wife/friends in the past few years where we were utterly disappointed

Food was really good. Had the hushpuppies, grilled pork ribs and Nashville hot chicken and all were really good.

Very casual but fun feel atmosphere. A little pricey for the portion size but all and all would definitely recommend.

Had such a fabulous experience at Electric Mud! I have always wanted to go and try their food and was blown away by tremendously tasty bbq cuisine. I couldn’t decide on what to order and our server was super helpful and engaging. She was top notch, just like the food! Would 100% go back and recommend the food to anyone looking for a hip cool joint with amazing food and service. See you soon Electric Mud 👌🏻

The food was amazing and the staff was equally as amazing. We mentioned we were not from Toronto and our waiter asked the others that worked with him for some great recommendations for us to check out! We had a few cocktails (all amazing) and the pulled pork and brisket. Both were delicious but the brisket was outstanding. We were sad we ate here on our first night in town because we definitely would have eaten here again!!! Electric Mud will be #1 on our list every time we are in Toronto

The Nashville Hot Chicken was very good and the house lager was a good price. The ambience of the restaurant was fun and casual. The music in the background was good.

The only thing was that it was a bit drafty and cold in the restaurant if you were not dressed warmly. Other than that it was a good experience to get together with friends.

Green P parking was also very close so that was convenient.

Such a cool spot. Come as you are - service was great! Food was packed with flavour and was true BBQ!
The space is quite small - so it makes for a very intimate and a bit squishy seating arrangement.

Bright lights and hip setting at the expense of the food. Beef brisket is served on a sandwich, almost minced, not what you would expect from a bbq joint worth it’s weight. $19 for shrimp = 4 shrimp and fries. The fried chicken is was the only redeeming quality- it’s very good.

Cool atmosphere, very friendly staff, generally bad food.

Lots of good bbq to be had in the city.

Great spot. Food is delicious and friendly as well as helpful staff reconditions were excellent. Location was the only thing I found annoying as we kept getting disturbed by patrons of the surrounding neighbourhood.

After being seated for our reservation and ordering drinks, our server informed us that they were sold out of two of the four main dishes they offered which typically happens around 8pm every day. He also mentioned the menu had recently been changed but no updates had been made to their online menus. I was very unimpressed with the available options - I didn't find they were worth the price tag. As a popular restaurant, they should ensure that they have enough food to complete a Saturday night service - we had a reservation for 8pm on a Saturday and they were not prepared. I would not recommend this spot nor would I want to return.

was not impressed at all, checked it out online before we went and the menu looked good. When we got there many of the items shown online were not on there menu. As far as BBQ goes they only had ribs available. No brisket or pulled pork (sandwiches only) - ribs were tough and had no flavor. Rib ends ran out (we went about a hour after they opened)

Baked beans were runny and didn’t have any meat in them like you’d come to expect with pit beans. Fried chicken was grossly under seasoned.

Online they advertise half racks of ribs - but when we got there they only give 4 bones. Pretty disappointing to go somewhere expecting A BBQ joint and not having any decent options. Poorly executed.
