I took someone there for a birthday dinner. We arrived a few minutes early, but it was empty. They were very kind and accommodating. They did sort of rush us out so they could close though. The food was alright. I also specifically requested a birthday dessert and they brought the dessert without acknowledging the birthday, which was a bit disappointing.
The food wasn’t that great, the service was poor, the ambiance n theme were okay, soon as we sat down in a prime area of Beverly Grove area to see Like 20 yrs old 99 cent Only plates with chips broken off made the whole experience sour didn’t recover from that point.
This place was very good! Luckily I had a friend who is very familiar to this cuisine and I was able to order a delicious plate.
Great service even better food. My partner was pleased. They told me they never had Indian food before and were surprisingly pleased.
We’ll try to come back
Love this place, I take everyone who visits here! Food is always so good, warm and comforting, service is fast and the ambience and Indian music/movie playing adds a little something
Terrible - food wasn’t fresh and service terrible. We won’t go back.
Some of the best Indian food in Los Angeles! Wonderful menu with options for everyone. Very friendly service. Simply delicious. Love this place!
Nice place with a good ambiance
Love this place! The food is great, the ambiance is very inviting and comfortable, and the staff really look after you. Took my girlfriend for her bday and they really treated her right! It's my new go-to Indian place!
This place had the best service and the most authentic food. Loved it! Get the malai kofta!
Food is good and ambiance is fun and authentic ! Really like this place!
My husband enjoyed his dish, but my tandoori platter was awful. The waiter dropped several dishes when clearing our table and my husband had food all over a new pair of pants when we got home. Fortunately the owner did not charge us for my meal, which was inedible. Not a pleasant experience.
Very friendly staff but they were disorganized. Votive candles were all on our table vs placed on each individual table. Food did not come out in a smooth transition. They didn't check on us to refill beverages. From what I observed, tthers seated around us had the same experience. Having poor service didn't make any sense as they had plenty of staff walking around. I suggest they get a strong manager to run the place - perhaps a woman. Not a female staff in the place.
Great food! Abrasive and non-accommodating service. Kept pressuring us to order when we were ready. Would not allow any modifications to orders without explanation just a "no".
Great food and ambience. Many vegan options. Loved the "outdoor" dining area. Reasonably priced.
Excellent, fresh, delicious Indian food. if you can get used to the big screen playing Bollywood videos - it is otherwise very quiet and comfortable. Good service. Reasonably priced.
Great food, staff are accommodating and great value
Electric Karma is great. The food is authentic and reliable. If you plan to go for dinner, ask for the back area seating. You are able to sit on the floor cushions and enjoy a great covered patio area. A family fave.
I found most of the food bland for an Indian restaurant. We had the vegetarian combo for 2 which was a good value. The chutney and raita were very good. The aloo gobi (potato and cauliflower) was good too, but everything else was bland and disappointing. The bhindi (okra) was tough.
For my taste, food was good but not great (tandoor mixed grill was dry and lack of flavor. No overnight marinated préparation I would have expected ?)
Service was good and people really nice.
Place is nice as well (especially outside. I loved it !) but the music was really horrible. Instead of Indian / lounge / sitar / relaxing music, we got a kind of ugly Indian disco club. So strange for a restaurant...
Honestly I was disappointed despite the place and the people are nice.
Came here for my sister's birthday. The staff was friendly and attentive, the ambience was lovely, and the food exceptionally good.
Delicious Indian food and they play Bollywood musicals on a giant screen which makes dining much more fun. The sauces are very good. Great service.
We live in the area and have been coming here for years. It's a great place with reasonable prices.
this is my go to for indian food. always delicious. you can sit in the back on pillows w/ low tables and great art on the walls or in the front w/ bollywood movies on the tv.
Love the food and the service. So authentic and friendly. The owner is so kind and helpful!
Great Indian food, great service
Best Indian food ever! So affordable and yummy!
Excellent Indian cuisine and service. Love how each dish and side are compartmentalized in little silver bowls. Enjoyed the calm ambiance, including the decor and soft Indian music. Great lunch specials and value. Will return.
We used to love, and frequent, this neighborhood gem, but were very disappointed in our last meal there. We thought maybe the ownership had changed, and the food was prepared very differently, so I'll assume a new chef too. The waiter was nowhere to be found. Perhaps they were understaffed. When our order finally arrived, they delivered my entree well before any starters. Very odd. The food just wasn't as good as it used to be, I'm sorry to say.
Great food, delicious! Nice atmosphere, good service. I recommend this restaurant!!
Worst service ever. Nobody ever came back to our table once our food arrived. We had to waive down the waiters for 10 minutes for items that never came. No drink or water refills. We wound up going up to the bar ourselves just to refill our water glasses. We used to love this place, don't think we will ever go back.
We were the only people there and apparently missed the lunch so early afternoon were being forced into the dinner menu. It was going to be an expensive "lunch" and plus the waiter was practicing not smiling.
Attentive staff and decent Indian food at a reasonable price
The staff there were wonderful and the food was good. We all left happy and full.
Electric Karma was pretty good. Nothing fancy, but as a Brit in town I am on the lookout for a good solid curry house. This had the feel of a 'British' curry house, although the menu differed slightly from Indian food in the UK. It was good, but not exceptional. The service for excellent though and very friendly, although the restaurant was pretty quiet. I will try other Indian restaurants before deciding whether this is my go to place.
The best Indian food ever!!!!
Overall very happy with the food. We had the lamb tikka and the chicken coconut, very good. Ambience was authentic and quite. The food came fast and the service was excellent.
