We also keep serving at the bar until 1am Thursday to Saturday – stocked with 18 different draught and bottled beers and ales, wines and strong new takes on classic cocktails. The Diner is all about unfussy combinations of the best ingredients; quick, friendly service and food that is sent straight from the kitchen as and when it’s ready. There’s booth and bar seating, and a specially chosen soundtrack played from the Diner’s reel-to-reel machine.

Despite being able to book and having the booking confirmed. I arrived to find the restaurant closed and boarded up.
The restaurant was boarded up. Why was this bookable on the app? It ruined our day completely.
This resturant was not open, we turned up and it was totally shut - unacceptable
The restaurant was shut down!!! How are you taking bookings for it?????
Restaurant is closed. Should not be accepting reservations.
fabulous as always. love it. always a great atmosphere and service.
The “all day” menu items were not on the menu until 5pm. Ingredients from the items on the menu were missing. And then the wrong food was brought to the table. Whilst I had heard great things about this place, it was all rather mediocre.
Slightly slow and sharp waitress upstairs but the ambience and food were fantastic. Always a great place for drinks or dinner.
Lovely service, won’t fault that, but very poor food, expected much more. Had to send my chicken back as slimy and pink. Very overpriced
The website said that the all day menu and brunch menu would be available. At 11:00 only the breakfast menu was available - so limited choice. However, the food was good.
Always good to go Electric Diner when I am in London
Booking was easy and staff on the phone so lovely. Table for two was at the back but was moved to a middle area when I asked. Staff were amazing, great ambience, courteous and great value. I have lived on Portobello all my life and have now made this my local. Coming back after lockdown with loads of friends.
We love the big comfortable booths, macaroni and cheese
A lovely visit yet again. Food was adequate and as always freshly cooked. We wish them the very best and hope that they can get through this second lockdown.
Food was poor and when we raised it, the waiter ignore our complaint.
great Sunday brunch = fun service and very quick turnaround.
Good food and service, but didn't really appreciate the hardcore rap music. Some rap, fine, but rap for the whole evening? Mixing it a bit wouldn't hurt.
The breakfast was absolutely amazing, the waffle, bacon and eggs were perfect and all the staff were super friendly
Can't wait to go back
We had a great time - all the staff were lovely and the food was great.
Chicken and waffles were good
The food was good, but not delicious like before the Covid.
That night also the service was good.
Last week I went at the Eletric with friends to have breakfast (8.15 am) and there were just remained two croissants, not enough for four people and the service was really slow.
This place is a hit and miss. Some times, the service is great but most of the times, it's lacking in consistency. on 2 occasions, I ordered an americano twice. The 1st time, they got it right but the 2nd cup was actually just the taste of their filtered coffee which I had to pay £3 for even though that is the price of the unlimited refill. I don't understand why they give me the wrong coffee even though I asked for a black americano. But I couldn't send it back because filtered coffee and black americano would look the same and I was embarrassed to do so...
This has happened twice already and I don't think I'll go back there anymore.
Wonderful service and delicious food. Want to go back
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Electric Diner. The food choices were great and the french toast I had was delicious!.
Amazing! French toast was to die for! Eggs florentine were divine and classic cooked breakfast was good. Staff were very attentive. Good experience
Amazing location, charming place, good food for value.
Great night out. The team really looked after us. Drinks were great, food was on point & service was impeccable. Again the team @Electric Diner are amazing & accommodating. Thank you & see you soon.
Good coffee, but cold eggs and unfriendly service
Very fun place bit appauling service. Had to ask for milk and sugar with coffee, butter and knife for toast - very strange!
Easy eating, great staff, great food
Great comfort food. Lovely energetic and friendly service
A great space, food appropriate for a diner but the acoustics are terrible not helped by the music being so loud that everybody shouts to be heard over it. No evidence of social distancing...entrance was crowded and not managed well, a member of service staff hugging a customer and crowded at the bar, not a nod to the 2 meter guidance. Maybe better for a quick lunch, evenings geared to 18- 25's.
Not a good experience. Their menu and website said we could get 50% off of our meal if we ate before a screening between 4 and 6. There was no note or asterisk specifying on their website or on their QR-code menus that this was not valid on weekends. The service was slow and we had about 4 different servers on our table who were not communicating with each other. When we asked for the bill it took 10 minutes for someone to bring it over, then another 10 before someone brought a card machine over. We were told we could bring food AND drink into the theatre if the food took too long - then found out as we were rushing to finish that that is not the case. Only drinks can be brought into the theatre. As a final warning to those looking to eat here: their “all day menu” is not an all day menu. You cannot order anything off of it until 5pm, and if you want something off of their “all day” menu, they will not accommodate you. When I went back to let them know about these issues (after the film because they had already made us late to it though I told at least 3 of our 4 servers that we were trying to make the film), the manager was quite rude and did little to make up for a very disappointing experience. This restaurant (and it’s cinema) are overrated and misleading.
The food was really good and thé staff really friendly as well
I've eaten here before and it was great but on this occasion the service was not great, we kept asking for things over and over again. Our food came at different times, we had two meals come when some people were nearly finished theirs and that's my most hated thing when having a meal in a restaurant. The music was incredibly loud and we had to ask to turn it down. It was a real shame as I said I've eaten here before and it was great.
brilliant food, beautiful location, great value for money! would definitely come again.
After reading good reviews we decided to book a table for lunch and weren’t disappointed! I enjoyed my Caesar salad and my son had the mac n cheese... he did enjoy it but found the cheese very rich & thick. Service was good & staff were friendly
