The lamb tacos and classic margarita were perfect. Waitress was slightly inattentive. The chicken enchiladas were bad enough that we had to send them back but the restaurant accommodated us with a new dish, free of charge. I’d go back and you should try it.

It was unfortunate we had a table smack in the middle of heavy traffic. It was not comfortable for myself or clients. Small spoons should come with taco condiments to share.

Went to El Vez to meet up with an old colleague from Wisconsin and the restaurant was perfect. Great space size and waiter took very good care of us. Gave great sharing recommendations and food was excellent. Everyone was very happy and glad I recommended this as our meeting spot.

We were very happy that they were so accommodating as we brought our 17 month old with us. They had a great children’s menu, and he happily coloured in with the crayons and art they gave him. Yummy food and great service. We loved it before anyway, but it is still great!

Fun neighborhood restaurant. Food good service good but you have to go early to avoid the noise. One of the noisiest restaurants in New York City. Get in between five and 530 and everything is fine.

Shrimp was over cooked and steak was tough in the fajitas. Guacamole was too tart. Very expensive food and drinks. I eat out often and I would not recommend El Vez.

Food was surprisingly neither salty nor spicy and came off a little bland. The atmosphere was active and felt festive and authentic to the brand. All in all we had fun (and several great cocktails)

We had the pleasure of participating in the Stephen Siller Tunnel to the Towers race this past Sunday. We had made a reservation ahead but were told that there was no guarantee that we would get a table outside on the patio but they would do their best. And that they did, we had a beautiful table with a perfect view of the stage. we were able to sit comfortably and enjoy our lunch and delicious cocktails (they did run out of Modelo but I made do with a well made Margarita) all while watching the festivities. Most importantly, our server Christina was attentive, patient and absolutely terrific. She knew the menu and was very accommodating to any of our special requests. We took up her table long past a normal table turn and she was more than pleasant! The staff was very busy and they all seemed prepared and helpful with anyone that needed help. El Vez and Christina, you receive my gold star for this outstanding Sunday visit! Thanks so much and we will see you next year!! Jenn, Lynnie and Sarah (The Philly Girls)

The food as El Vez was petty plain Jane and expensive . Nothing had much spice to it - the guacamole, the salsa, the two entrees and sides we ordered. It seemed the kitchen forget to use any chiles.... The service was good, it was a nice evening to sit outside in NYC. With a beer and a wine, but no dessert, the bill came close to $120 with tip. For NYC, being one of American's food cities, you can do better.

Had reservations and the option of seating right away or waiting which i appreciated. Service was very efficient, the foods delicious ( mahi mahi tacos, chicken quesadillas , crab enchiladas) and drinks are superb but a little pricier than expected. Its very loud and bursting with energy; great for birthdays or friends get together.
