One of the best Mexican foods around!!!! Outdoor dining in Philadelphia is pretty noisy and hot in the summer, but still worth going. The food and drinks never disappoint you.
Service was slow, food decent but overpriced.
One of my favorite restaurants. Amazing food, drinks and always a good time. Can't go wrong here.
Cassandra our server was great 👍🏾
The food was delicious.
We miss the crab dip.
This is my favorite restaurant and hangout. Great guac and margaritas, beautiful people and smart managers that care deeply about service. Consistency and quality, with a diverse and loyal customer base.
Good food.. chill vibe
Have eaten here numerous times, today the food seemed really salty to me? Maybe just an off day, but as always... top notch service (Thanks Max). Will I be back? Yes it’s one of my favorite places, I suggest the guacamole, and fajitas are excellent also. This past trip my meal came w/refried beans, not impressed, as I stated earlier they were salty, and the Carne Asada Burrito was excellent in flavor but once again I kept getting a really salty flavor. I prefer if possible to sit on the Samson Street side because less people walk by versus the 13th Street side.
Great experience, although I wish the public wasn’t allowed to walk through the eating session. It was very uncomfortable because majority of people did not wear a mask
I did not like my food at all I have been there many times and food was amazing but this time it was not and everyone's food was salty and horrible especially my food. I was very disappointed. Also my waitress was always in a rush when I tried to ask her for something she would answer me while still walking away at the same time. I didn't even get to ask her for everything we needed. And then I asked her for a refill on ny soda and she didn't bring it to me until I was already paying for my food and at that point I didn't want it anymore.
I took myself out on a lunch date and had a great experience! The Fish tacos were delicious! The blood orange margarita is always amazing.
My best friends and I haven’t gotten together since quarantine. So, we decided to link at our favorite restaurant! I love it!
Had a fantastic time. Very friendly staff and the manager checked on us after learning about a food allergy. Will definitely visit again
Great food and service, awesome waiter
Celebrated our one year anniversary at el Vez. The staff was very accommodating and the food is always OUTSTANDING. My favorite place!!
Everything was fantastic!
Excellent Food & Drinks! ! !
I had an excellent experience here at El Vez! The wait staff were very on top of their game and made sure we were taken care of. As always I had a great time at El Vez and we be going again very soon.
Dining during Covid had made things interesting but I still had a great time. I started with classic guacamole and chips and Shrimp Tacos for dinner. A must try cocktail is the Tom Wolf margarita. A blend of spice and tequila.
Had the carnitas tacos. They were fantastic! Seating was pretty clearly makeshift, but overall a great experience. Would recommend.
Love the Mexican street corn. Our server was awesome
Not a fan of the time limit written out on table
Horrific. Terrible service.
Very weird (but good) dining experience. Had a table right next to the street which was very noisy. The first table we initially sat at was very unstable, but once we discussed it with our waiter we were moved to another table. Food was good. Drinks....meh. We bought a pitcher of their “Pink Cadillac” marg....it was filled with ice and once we finished it...didn’t feel a thing :( otherwise it was cool. They were very busy and I’m sure it would’ve been better if they didn’t have to accommodate the covid outdoor dining rules.
Food was amazing! And the service was great. Our first time there and I will be back!
El Vez is always amazing. And even during Covid it’s amazing.
Great experience! It was a bit hot and humid outside so some fans would have been nice!
Great service! Restaurant adhered to new social distancing and cleanliness guidelines well. We appreciated the card on the table indicating when our time would be up as well! It was very helpful.
Always a great time at El Vez!
First time visiting since covid ... missed their food!! Everything was amazing
Another fabulous experience at El Vez! The food is amazing and the Blood O's are O-utstanding. Service was great, as usual. Hats off to the hostess running the outside tables and seating. Consummate professional and no push over, for sure.
All in all, it was the kind of dining experience we expect at El Vez and we have yet to be disappointed.
Patiently awaiting the opening of indoor seating, when we can sit at the bar, which is our preferred way to enjoy the restaurant. The bartenders are fantastic, especially Jen!!
Amazing food as always. And of course amazing service. Couldn’t ask for anything more.
Max was a great server! He was very polite and timely.
Everything was great! The only reason I downgraded the ambiance was bc of Covid since you have to eat by the street next to cars and it was a little hot! Overall amazing ☺️
El Vez is one of my favorite Places to go! With Covid things are for sure different. By no means am I complaining but here’s a heads up on what to expect... They have expanded seats close to the streets, and that’s where we sat. Not all tables have an umbrella. When it’s hot, it’s HOT. Hard to enjoy your room and drinks being so hot. Forget about getting a pitcher of margs, it will melt FAST! You can’t get salt on the rim of your margarita either. The seats are different too. They are just small metal chairs with no arms on the side. Maybe that’s their norm now and I just haven’t been there for a while. Guac took a while to come out so we decided to order out fajitas as we enjoyed. No lie, our fajitas came out in three minutes. The tiny table we had was no jam packed and my fiancé had to sit with a fajita pan directly in front of him. I think we should’ve been told it would come out so fast. I also was there to celebrate my birthday and that wasn’t acknowledged. Overall food was great as always. Limited menu. Service is ok for them being over worked with lots of tables to manage. Just don’t expect your normal experience. But it was great to get out and have a blood orange marg in my hand!
I Love Outside Dining In PHILADELPHIA... I have No Complaints About EL VEZ. The food was fresh the drink was refreshing
The food and drinks were great! Not a fan of outdoor dining. I completely understand why. (COVID) we will definitely be back!
I gave the service a 3 stars. We only had 90 minutes at the table, the server allowed us to order a second pitcher of margaritas and then told us once the second pitcher arrived that our time was about to end! The server shouldn’t have allowed us to order the second pitcher, I’m 55 and not interested in taking a to go cocktail in a paper cup😔😔😔😔
Great food and good service.
Chicken fajitas were awesome!
Love this restaurant but sitting outside on a noisy, dirty street in the blazing sun, was not enjoyable. Patio umbrellas would be a nice touch!
