   Food was very good as always. Service not so great. The waiter hardly ever came to our table and I had to ask for the check since we were waiting a while. There was no toilet paper in the upstairs bathroom and when I asked someone to bring it she never came back with it. I just had a knee replacement and had to go up and down the stairs to the bathroom on the Lower level. Not great customer service at all this day. Hopefully next time it will be better.

   Service was quick initially and then we didn't see the waiter for some time. Pricey for what you get. Portions on some entrees were quite small and came with nothing on the side. Overall a bit too expensive for what you get.

   El Vez never disappoints. The food and margaritas are delicious as always. My friend and I sat outside and enjoyed a leisurely long lunch. The only thing is that it has become very expensive to do just lunch there.

   Wonderful restaurant and a impeccable ambiance. It is also kid friendly but not a family restaurant (don’t being a ton of kids, especially if they’re picky). The drinks were delicious and on par with their descriptions. Warning: the frozen margs are extremely good and you’ll need a DD. Our service was great too! 10/10 recommend

   El Vez is an excellent, high quality dining experience in Philadelphia. The food is delicious. So much flavor in every bite. We got the "El Vez" guacamole and the chips and salsa to start. The flavors in the 3 different salsas are distinct and provide a different experience with each. We ordered the Chicken and shrimp tacos. Both are exceptional with great flavors the complement each one. The service was friendly and attentive. This is a return trip for us and we will be back. One of our favorite spots in the city.

    Amazing as always!! There’s a reason it’s been around for so long (and is somewhere I come back to now n Philly every time I’m here)!! Try the brussels and plantains as a side. Cauliflower tacos are over the top tasty!!

    We had a reservation for 3 got to the restaurant with an extra person and they were happy to accommodate us. We order nacho mamma Pico and Guacamole to start everything came out delicious. We ordered chicken tacos steak tacos and mahi mahi tacos along with the corn off the cob everything was so good

    This was a nice ladies night out with my girlfriends. Rebecca, our server, was an absolute pleasure and so friendly. I always have a good experience at El Vez, from the food and drinks to the staff, never disappointed.

    The server made us feel nice and happy about my reservation. The Decorum of the staff was very nice but nothing compared to the food that left my belly full and happy. I recommend the corn empanadas and chicken quesadilla. It was so delicious.

    My first time here after seeing that marquee sign over the years. Everything from the greeting to the goodbye was warm and friendly. Food was lovely (taste and presentation) The staff was smiling and seemed to love what they do. I hope your experience is similar!

    I have been to El Vez and loved it but was so sad this visit because I was taking a colleague from out of town to celebrate a work milestone and it was really sad that the food was not good. Everything was over salted (to the point that we left most of our guacamole behind), and the food didn’t seem to have any freshness. Their “handmade” corn tortillas were tasted like grocery store tortillas (not to mention, they were even and had ridges so they were 100% made by a machine), and generally for the price point I was embarrassed. So sad because the first time I went I felt like I had found a Philly gem.
