Carlos was our waiter and was great. Very attentive. I love going to a place and get service like that! Outstanding!
Excellent food, service good for such a busy time with our large group. Celebrating a coworker’s departure with a festive and delicious lunch.
Taco Tuesday is always great here! No complaints, our meal and server were great!!
Staff very friendly. Good chips and salsa . Food was so-so.
Very pleasant place and good service. Spacious parking (free).
Great service as usual
We dined following our Church Service and had a very nice experience. The server was very professional and went out of her way to please us. The food was excellent.
It was a Xmas Eve denner.
3 adults and a child.
We ordered 3 appetizer and 2 fajitas as main. all came out nicely and we all are satisfied.
Server kept disappearing. Took 30 minutes to receive the check. We paid cash so there was no reason for the long delays.
I think they may have been overwhelmed by Holiday traffic. Lunch orders took 35 minutes to come out. Some of the items were room temp when the food arrived. Not what I would expect from ETG.
Love the tortillas. Wish everyone would do that! They're so warm and delicious.
We came on Veterans' day because the Grill offered a rare coupon. We go to the regular El Torito as the prices are more reasonable. But the food was outstanding. We will probably go more often because the food and service was great.
FOOD - We ordered from the taco bar since it was Tue. It was Good, but our entire group thought it was a little salty. The food from the main menu was much better.
Also, our waiter brought us chips and salsa. Strange because we normally receive tortillas and salsa since it’s El Torito Grill.
BEVERAGES - I ordered a mojito. It was good, but weak. My friend ordered a White Russian and didn’t like it at all. I don’t think they knew how to make it.
SERVICE - The waiter was nice, but very slow. It took 30mins to get our drinks and tickets for the taco bar. He also forgot our table guacamole. After reminding him, he brought it out already prepared instead of making it at the table and asking what we would like included in it. It’s called table guacamole for a reason... Also, we had to constantly flag him down to ask for beverage refills.
This is not the kind of food and service we normally receive. Overall we enjoyed ourselves, but were definitely disappointed in the restaurant during this visit.
Great food great staff. Thanks guys!
The Taco Tuesday is always great here! The tortillas are amazing! Also, get the churro dessert, it's so good!!
My family has been coming here for years, usually twice a year as it's not that close to home. But we have always enjoyed the food and the ambiance. Surprisingly things were "off" this time. We had a 5:30 reservation for four people. When we arrived the restaurant was nearly empty. Our server was prompt in coming over initially, but as the meal progressed he wasn't as attentive as he should have been. He never checked to see if we needed more chips/tortillas and salsa, and we had to finally wave him down to get our check. My husband's chicken was tough, and my entree was too. The restaurant got progressively busier as time went on, not surprising, but I think they may have been short handed because it was Labor Day. Perhaps this accounted for our server's lack of attention, he may have had too many tables to cover.
Food was cold . Was hubbys birthday so I was disappointed
Food was awesome!!
The staff here is excellent. We got the table side guacamole and asked for extra limes and no chilis. It was the best guac ever! For a business dinner, however, the noise level was a bit much. But it was a Friday night and it’s to be expected. The food was delicious, served hot, and the chips never ran out.
Our server was quick and nice, the food was great.
Fresh guacamole is the best.
Great service, too.
My honest opinion here it is: I recommended going to El Torito Grille to my co-workers since this location used to serve the most delicious and addictive taquitos which were served with 3 delicious sauces and wrapped in a spinach tortilla wrap and much to my disappointed they were served in red tortilla wraps without the 3 sauces for dipping. I actually had to request the sauces and only 1 sauce was served in the same container which was fine but it did not taste or meet the quality that was once a staple of El Torito. The honey butter with the tortillas was sub-par at best and not the same honey-butter to die for when those were the best appetizer ever served at a Mexican restaurant.
Food overall was sub-par. Not sure what happened to the old chefs that did an amazing job but this will not be my first choice in the future to request a lunch get together.
Our food (grilled salmon & tortilla soup + homemade tortillas) was delicious & our service provided by David was excellent.
Parking is in an attached garage, so be sure to get your charge slip validated.
Mediocre service mediocre food
We arrived at 2:30 on a Sunday and they were serving a brunch. We were informed right away that they would let the chef know we were arriving so they would keep the buffet open. I guess the buffet ends at 3:00 and they start serving off of the menu. The enchiladas were ice cold and by the time I got up to get a second plate they were clearing away the buffet. The server brought us our drinks and never once offered to refill them. We had to ask for chips and salsa.
They were not busy at all, so the lack of service was a bit confusing. Overall I felt like we were in their way. I would have gladly waited to order off of the menu. We could have ordered drinks and enjoyed chips and salsa until 3:00.
We came for brunch and it was delicious!! There was a wide variety of foods to please everyone and everything tasted soooo good! We will definitely return for brunch again!
I don’t know what they put in their table tortillas but they are ridiculously delicious and one of the reasons my wife picked here to have our anniversary dinner. Add the table side guacamole and it’s darn near heaven.
Each of us had fabulous entrees and the service, the great Norma, was marvelous. We had a beautiful dinner and a marvelous experience. Highly, highly recommended.
They have changed their menu, and all the really good food for lunch is no longer available. What they have is basic stuff I can get at any Mexican restaurant. As such, I will no longer be taking my clients there (which I did fairly often). Also our waiter was not attentive at all and kept talking to one of the other waiters in the bar.
The manager and staff did everything imaginable to make our son’s birthday a blast! Happy, upbeat mood and service. Great homemade tortillas as free starter!😋
we were at the restaurant 10 min before the reservation time,
but we needed to wait for 35 min to be seated.
We had a waiter that seemed like he was very new. He could not seem to manage his workload. The restaurant was very busy, but it took over an hour to get our appetizer and about 1.5 hours to get our food--after we complained. 2 tables around us came and went in the time we were there. We called the manager over. He apologized and said he'd "make things right". He sent the chef out. Two of the 4 people at our table still hadn't received their food when he came. We were all sitting and waiting, and he kept asking how we like the food. We had to tell him several times that we were still waiting on the food--like they didn't notice 2 people didn't have food in front of them. He eventually did manage to scare up the 2 entree salads we were waiting on. It was crazy. My food was cold by the time we got to eat. When they brought the bill, it was full price even though the manager said he'd "make things right". We asked about it, and eventually (after another long wait) they knocked 30% off, which was nice after a 2 hour wait for cold food. I got home to find that the restaurant had reported as as "no shows" to Open Table even though we told them 2 times that we had reservations, they took our names and a special hostess sat us. No, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I won't be returning.
Haven't been to ET in a long time. Went with fellow workers and it was great, especially the service. Ordered the guacamole which is made table side - wish we had ordered two!
Had to ask for the warm tortillas, which are a big reason for going here. Food was pretty good, and not too noisy on a Monday night
Dirty plates, bowls, utensils.
Warm water no ice, paid $70 for two people for the brunch ate two tacos and a salad.
Everything was empty.
Management and service was terrible.
We always love having our brunches at el toritos. The employees treat us like we are all family and brunch lots of fun. Food is excellent
One of favorite places to eat when we visit this area. Love the homemade tortillas and the salmon.
I met a friend who I hadn't seen in a long time. I had only an hour since I was on my lunchtime and I asked our server at least 3 times for an item, which he NEVER brought. He never refilled our water glasses, and it was a hot day, he never checked on us, or refilled our tortillas or condiments ... we had to track him down to get our bill. It was a very unpleasant experience and the restaurant was not that busy. I don't know why our server was so unpleasant with us.
