Great food! I enjoyed my grilled salmon. I can’t wait to go back.
Always great, interesting menu
New Year’s Eve Dinner
This was approximately my 3rd time here in 2018. The food is fantastic, the service on point. I have celiac disease, completely trust their menu is not going to cause me issue when items are marked GF. Can't wait to go back.
6 of us, out of 8, ordered the filet, it rivals the big steak restaurants.
My husband and I took my sister and brother-in-law out for a holiday meal. Every dish we ate was delicious! We look forward to going again.
The food was so yummy. Lots of Gluten Free selections to choose from.
Great restaurant everything is delicious
Great food! Good place to catch up with friends!
The staff was knowledgeable and accommodating to GF. The food was interesting and delicious.
Went here for a date have been before, the food is always very good. Service was some what lacking on this visit as we waited long times for the server to come back and for the food. Restaurant was pretty empty so seemed odd. Overall would recommend because of the great food and byob
Love this restaurant.
The tropical ceviche was wonderful as were our other choices. The paella special was also a big hit. This restaurant is one of our favs!
Great food. Nice people
Delicious and unique as usual! Awesome for any occasion!
Our second visit within the last 3 months. Appetizers came out hot and tasty both times. This time around my wife had a ribeye. It was cooked perfectly and was wonderfully tender. I had crabmeat stuffed shrimp and it very good. It was very crowded and we did have to wait a bit for our main course. However, we had good company and wine to keep us occupied. The quality of food made the wait worth it.
We dined in this restaurant because we wanted to try Peruvian food. There was only 2 or 3 items on the menu that were Peruvian. Nevertheless, the food was fine.
But the service is another story. We waited 90 minutes for our entrées. This after asking the waiter several times. Nobody bussed our table from the hors d'oeuvres until we ask someone.
I suggest trying Peruvian food somewhere else.
Excellent food and service. The environment is a little noisy for conversation
Got to the restaurant at 6 pm for my moms 84th birthday celebration and at that point the restaurant was not very crowded. The experience went down hill from there when our waiter turned out to not be very knowledgeable about the menu and was unable to answer simple questions. We asked if the ceviche trio appetizer was enough for several of us to share and he indicated it was not but when we saw it delivered to other tables it looked ample for 3 or 4 to share. Service went down hill from there even though we ordered a bake potato dry it was slathered in butter and the replacement took extremely long to be delivered. The icing on the cake was that one of our meals never showed up the waiter kept telling us it took longer to cook and was on its way I finally told the waiter to forget it since the rest of us were already done eating. The waiter informed us that the manager, who we never saw during the whole meal, wanted to buy us desert which we passed on and just asked if they could box up the forgotten meal to go so my son could eat dinner when we got home.
While the food was good the service was such a let down that we will never go back.
This is a noisy bustling restaurant that really does some great (and I think) authentic south american food. I had the paella which was packed with shell fish. The lobster ravioli went down very well too. Reasonable prices makes it a great Saturday night group dining choice
El Sitio is a sublime dining experience.
We were attending a concert and found El Sitio as a nearby restaurant and were super impressed by the decor and the awesome Ecuadorian cuisine.
We had a wine opener in our bag thank goodness because we waited 15 min the server never came . We had to ask for bread . No steak knife came with steak we asked and had to wait meanwhile the steak was getting cold. We asked for extra dressing for salad took forever . They need to work on customer service . Food is good our waiter was terrible
We love this restaurant. The octopus and ceviche and fantastic!
Good food and prompt service. I had a skirt steak special that was very good. The French fries were typical frozen fries, though still good. It was a very quiet night there (we were their only reservation on a Tuesday evening), but given the size and setup of the dining room, I could see it being loud if it is full. It was nicely located with a street view and I sat right by the front window. Prices are what I would expect to pay for what I got (seafood ravioli and steak). I would definitely return if the occasion arises.
Great time was had by all. Great service and tasty servings. Will return.
Plantain empenades were excellent. Skirt steak was excellent. BYOB which is great. Service was so so. We didn't hear specials from waitress but we heard other tables getting a rundown of the specials. Pleasant service but not attentive in that respect. But overall, a very good experience. Would go back and happily order what I did if I did not want to try other things.
Great gluten free choices!
Food is excellent. Lots of flavor. Great staff, just a great place.
We ate here for my husbands birthday. We sat outside which is covered. It was a beautiful night. The outside area is covered and has decorative lights. We started with ceviche. It was delicious. We had two fish meals and two meat meals. We all enjoyed our meals. This restaurant like all in Collinswood is a BYOB. Outside is a really chill place to kick back an enjoy a meal.
We have been coming here for years but haven’t had the chance in the past few months. We came tonight and it has gone down hill so much. They took dishes off the menu we loved and our waiter was awful. I also found a long black hair in my dinner gross.
Food is always fresh and of good quality. Servers are very attentive. Patio setting is wonderful.
After years of loving this place, we were highly disappointed with this visit. The menu had completely changed and our favorite had been removed (Bife de Chorizo). Additionally, this night, there was an unusual number of flies in the restaurant. I don't mean unusual for THIS restaurant. I mean unusual for ANY restaurant. Swishing them away, along with the other patrons, was not an optimal dining experience. I asked for my skirt steak without mushrooms and it was brought with more mushrooms than you could imagine. Our waitress was kind, considerate and professional. She did her best. We ate fast, and left fast. Not how I want to remember this place. We really use to love it--driving all the way from Burlington each time. Perhaps they had a bad night.
Well we want d to try a new resturant but unfortunately it turned out w a bad experience. We wanted 10 mins to be approached by the hostess which never came over to us. A waitress sate us. We arrived at 7:30 wasn’t served til 8:45 ish and my wives steak was under cooked so we sent it back. Plus it want that busy. The waitress was not very friendly and seems she didn’t care to be helpful. So probably won’t go back or refer it to anyone.
My wife and went here for dinner on Saturday night. We experienced poor service on just about every level...we never were told the specials. After the server took our order, we didn't see them again until our entrees arrived. We had to wave down a busser in order to get some bread. The appetizers we ordered never materialized. I had to grab a fork from another table because I didn't have one and had use a butter knife to cut my lamb chops. For $31 for the dish, I would have expected the portion to include more than two chops. Also, could they have spared maybe a spoonful of mixed veggies on the plate? It was just two chops and some mashed potatoes. I ordered the chops medium, and they came out well done. My wife's chicken dish wasn't that bad though. I left the restaurant unsatisfied, ticked-off and hungry. On top of all that, the next morning I woke to read an email from Open Table indicating I was a "no-show" for the reservation; apparently the restaurant never entered-in our arrival....if only that were the case and it was just a bad dream. See you again never El Sitio. Which is a shame because I live in town and this is one place you can always get a table...now I know the reason is because of terrible service.
Absolutely phenomenal! My husband and 8 tried to think of something that we would change about our meal, but each item was just delicious perfection. We started with the tropical ceviche, and he ordered the traditional Peruvian Lomo Saltado. I ordered the Peruvian Picante. We ended up sharing everything because both were so yummy. We finished with a slice of the homemade tres leche cake, which was definitely worth saving room for.
Word of advice: order the Ecuadorian tea. Let it steep for about 10 minutes. When you finish it( which you will because the fruit makes it so sweet) ask for some more hot water and enjoy another pot.
the food was great. The service was painfully slow. Could not find anyone over the age of 20 to complain to.
This was our third visit - will not be coming back because of the poor service.
We enjoyed the mussels and stuffed shrimp with crab meat along with desserts. Wonderful place for dinner with friends or date night. Would however recommend keeping air conditioning below 78 during the summer as the restaurant was stuffy inside and did not make eating enjoyable. Outside dining is available and would be enjoyable during spring and early fall
We went on a quiet Thursday evening; so there weren't many other diners in the restaurant. It's BYOB. We had a couple of their chicken dishes (Ecuadorian and Peruvian) as the seafood items didn't come sound like anything we couldn't get at a variety of other restaurants. The service was fast and friendly. We enjoyed our seat by the window and watched the people passing by. We passed on dessert because, like the seafood, they didn't seem particular to the Argentinian, Peruvian, Ecuadorian theme...perhaps with the exception of the Tres Leche. Overall, a good meal, romantic setting, and worth dropping in if you're in the neighborhood.
First time at this restaurant. We enjoyed the food. The only complaints are the water being horribly nasty, the sprite not tasting like sprite and the waiter continuously said “YUP” as we asked questions about the menu... otherwise overall good experience will go again and try other items on the menu...
