El Quinto Pino
This winning and fresh approach has meant that El Quinto Pino has enjoyed being called “the best” and “most authentic tapas bar” over and over again since we opened in 2007.
What Insiders Are Saying
This restaurant/wine bar in Chelsea from the folks who brought you Tia Pol and Txikito delivers solid authentic Spanish eats, wine, and sangria.
Great tapas in a casual, friendly place. Although we had booked a table we chose to sit and eat at the bar as preferred the look of that room to the restaurant. Both servers were very busy but still managed to look after everyone well.
Wow what an amazing spot. All seven tapas were perfect.
Everything was amazing! The food was delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the food. We will definitely be back.
Meet a few friends. Staff was friendly and attentive. Found the food good but not exceptional. And this is tapas so you must be ready to order many plates if you are hungry.
Love the frozen drinks and tapas
The food could be a bit better- I’m a foodie- but it’s great overall.
Met three friends for our monthly dinner. Perfect spot. Food to share. All of which was delicious. Simple but great. Hard to do. Wait staff friendly and attentive. Easy to hear and be heard (critical for our group). Leisurely dinner with wine with no pressure.
Wonderful tapas—closest I’ve found in the city to those I’ve had in Spain.
Nice and cozy but too expensive . Portion too small too
Food was good but not great. Wine by the glass was good. We bought a bottle of wine that didn't measure up to the wine by the glass. I thought the waiter should have been more forthcoming about the quality of the bottle - it was obviously a lesser value. Overall, a nice date place, but more of a one time experience - just to try something different. Not going back.
The food was great but very very small portions. Great bar area, nice distance between dining tables. Service was ok.
The food was really good and interesting. Very nice restaurant. Just one quibble and that is that there is a mish mash of chairs. Our table had 4 different chairs. Not all were that comfortable.
Disappointing. Given the multiple 4 and 5 star reviews, i had high expectations, especially since i am a fan of authentic Spanish tapas. My companion and I ordered a variety of dishes, and unfortunately, found the food to be lacking. Perhaps the kitchen was having an off day. Service and ambience so-so.
Nice brunch. Wish they had few more options.
Lovely start to finish
Creative and tasty dishes. Just excellent all around food for great value!
El Quinto Pino was a delight. It was my first visit and will certainly not be my last. Having visited the Basque region in Spain, I found the food to be spot on. Great Gin & Tonic. Above all else, our server James P was terrific. He offered great guidance and helped make the right choices when we were not certain. This is a great tapas place.
I think I may have found my new favorite restaurant.
Fabulous food, excellent service, lovely room. Go there!
Nice, quaint place... Spanish style tapas.. service was awesome at the bar and excellent choice in wines. The garbanzos fritos were so dry I choked! Other than that everything else was great! The bartender was a delight and my 17 year old daughter loved him!
Casual easy tapas in Chelsea. Tiny room. Friendly service.
This restaurant is terrific. The food is delicious, the service excellent, and the noise level allowed us to have excellent conversation throughout dinner. We kept extending dinner because we wanted to continue tasting the various tapas selections. Not a single disappointment. We did not realize there was a dessert menu. but when we saw it we had to force ourselves to try a couple of those choices. Everything was fantastic. Thank you for a lovely dinner experience
Loved this place and the food and the service! Would make the effort to go back often.
Our third visit. This time for a business dinner. We had a great time.
Everything we tried was delicious and very affordable for the quality! We look forward to becoming regulars
Outstanding service and food. The team at EQP is on top of their game!
Great spot for food and friends! Feels like Im still in Spain. (though the white sangria was not so great)
Loved the croquetas, califlor and Almond torte. sat in the front which is quiet-- but back room is really really noisy-- even with tapestry on the wall-- maybe something can be done to tone absorb noise.
Had brunch. Food was tasty albeit on the small side for servings, even the items which were “tapas” per se. I would recommend but just expect to order more dishes than what you though, bumping up the price for brunch.
Excellent Tapas and Ambiance
We had good vibes as soon as we walked into the restaurant. Well-designed environment, friendly service and excellent food.
Had a great time, food was delicious and service was very attentive. Were there for a birthday dinner with one GF guest, plenty to eat and share and everyone had a great time. Definitely would recommend!
Such a fun place. Great service. Good food and good prices and a great ambiance. Perfect for a dinner with friends!!!
The food was excellent with an interesting wine selection from Spain. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice restaurant to relax and have some quiet conversation.
After several memorable dinners over the years, I can say El quinto pino is always a pleasure.
Decent meal, but nothing special. Prices were very fair (almost surprisingly so), but I don't feel an urge to come back anytime soon. Service was a little slow and at least the mixed drinks were average. The croquetas were the only thing we ordered that I particularly liked.
This Spaniard’s favorite NYC Spanish restaurant!
Good quality, creative food. Well paced delivery of tapas. Garlic shrimp in broth , shrimp/chick pea fritters, calamari very good dishes. Attentive but not intrusive wait staff. Cozy atmosphere. Would return next time we get to NYC.
Everything we had was good, but felt pricey for portion sizes and quality. But otherwise a very pleasant place to have a meal!
Walked from hotel, pleasantly surprised to find a wonderful atmosphere and excellent food - made for a nice evening.
The food was good but not exceptional. Portion size was very small for the price.
The best tapas we have ever eaten - better by far than anything we ate in Andalucia earlier this year.
Sadly we return to London today, but we made a point of coming back to El Quinto Pino one more
time before we left!
Only things worth getting are the fideúa, nuestras bravas, and the pork shoulder special.
