This was our first visit, the food was great especially the pork fajitas and the Hawaiian pineapple fajitas. Service was exceptional. Fun vibrant atmosphere.
First impression was that it was a little crowded in the entryway while waiting for a table. No place to sit while waiting, and standing around in front of seated guests can be a little uncomfortable for some. But once seated, the food is worth the wait. Also, a good value for the money.
Well we got there they didn't have our table just yet and I reserved it over the phone then they finally got us a table but I told them I was waiting on some others just pulled in to come in the restaurant and came back in they gave our table away to some one else. Then had to wait once again on our other table.
I use to live in Salisbury and fell in love with this place. Now I live in the Raleigh area and there isn't a place here that meets El Patron's standards for Mexican food. So my family and I occasionally drive the two hours to eat here. The food is THAT good. It is where I announced my pregnancy and later, it was my daughter's first trip to eating out. El Patron's is family. Service is always amazing. And our last server, Ian, was top notch!
Food was average to upper mid level typical american Mexican cuisine. A few more traditional offerings that make it a step above such as the fried plantains. We had a very large group with us and the single poor waitress we had had a bit of difficulty keeping everything straight. She did a great job with so many but may have been suited to having two waitress just relieve some of the burden. Overall a decent Mexican restaurant.
Overall great place to eat. Fast friendly staff. Good prices.
Great service and food
I had the Hawaiian Fajita very good
Really all dishes I seen coming by all look great
Great stop for lunch or dinner
I would suggest reservation
Amazing food! Pleased every time !
Salisbury's only current restaurant found on OpenTable! My husband and I have been coming here for years since the doors opened and long before we discovered OpenTable. We are never disappointed and the food is always fresh! Some of my favorite items and must tries: Patron Guacamole prepared at table, Organic Margaritas, Chicken and Shrimp Mojo de Ajo, Fish Tacos, the pineapple Chorizo dish. From the salsa to the pico de gallo, their food is never boring. Some great personnel there too. Kudos to George, George Jr and Juan. Great people.
We had a great time here. The food was outstanding. Great variety at a good price. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Will go back soon.
Our server was Judy and she was very helpful with our orders.
Food and service were great. Our server Judy was so friendly and helpful. Some of the best Mexican food I have experienced.
We arrived to a very crowded restaurant. We were so thankful to have reservations. We had four adults and two children. We waited an hour and 15 minutes for our food. And we did not have complicated orders - strictly from the menu. The kids had to wait just as long for a cheese enchilada and rice. There was a hurried apology due to the kitchen being behind. We saw tables seated, eat, and leave. We will not be back. You would think we would receive a drink or appetizer for the wait. Received nothing. Barely an apology.
We tried El Patron based on reviews. It was a Saturday night and two groups of 20-30 each were having a nirthday party, so the place was packed. Still, service was good, and the food and drinks were great. We had the three dip sampler, with guacamole, queso with spinach, and chori queso - - all were very good. My best girl tried the chicken chimichanga and I had the Mahi Veracruz both were delicious. The Mahi was grilled and served with rice and fajita-like bell peppers and pickled onions, as well as sauteed shrimp and tiny little scallops. The mahi was grilled and served under all the veggies - - a large and excellent plate, unlike anything I've had in other Mexican restaurants. Sangria and the Mojito were also very good. Highly recommend. We'll be back - - on a week-night - - when it is hopefully a tad quieter.
This was a surprise find on a road trip to the North Carolina Museum of Transportation. When we are traveling, sometimes for dinner we like to go to a non-chain restaurant, and we were sure glad we did! Although we'd skip the Margaritas, I have to say that this restaurant served the best flautas I've ever had. The chips and salsa had a nice zing, too. Another great dish was the pork with salsa verde. Keep up the good work.
One of the main reasons I chose El Patron on the weekends is being able to reserve a table via internet. Love that!!!
This place was really good!!! It was very busy and it was a little warm inside but everyone was freindly. The food was really good too.
I was delighted to find that El Patron is now Open Table. We love having lunch here after church on Sunday but I hate waiting to get in. Their menu has all the familiar Mexican items plus others that are more adventurous. One of our friends ordered the ceviche and it was delicious. I enjoyed trying the sutffed poblano pepper. My husband ordered his usual fajitas which are very good.
The best Mexican style food in Salisbury! Great staff that is friendly and efficent. The new menu has some great food items that have been specials in the past. So much to choose from that it is hard to decide, it is all just too good!!
Found this place on opentable after we finished riding the polar express with the kids! Food was amazing and service was great. It was a very busy place on a Saturday night! Would drive an hour to eat here again!
We went to El Patron to celebrate a birthday. There were 20 of us. The service was fast & the food was delicious, They have a good variety of dishes & have the best Mexican food in the area.
Thanks, George, for the excellent service,
