I love this place and I go often but for some reason this specific day it was difficult to get the right orders.
The food was excellent! Black Sea bass and braised ribs were simply amazing. Staff was pleasant but lagged a bit. Nothing that will prevent us from going back.
Favorite Place for Mexican food! Chill vibe, great drinks, good time!
My family and myself, had visited they place for years, everything was fantastic and authentic, but today visit was not a good experience, now they added pineapple to the guacamole ,the tacos already had rajas con crema, I like my tacos the traditional way, cilantro cebolla and sauce on the side
Really disappointed with the food.
Very limited options on the brunch menu. Tacos and ceviche are great but significantly over-priced. Will not be returning.
Delicious food. It was also fun food. Who doesn’t like guacamole and chips. Don’t miss their pear tartlet. So yummy.
They ran out of a dish by the time I got to brunch (2:30pm). I was so disappointed! But the 2 hour bottomless drinks made up for it!!!!
Great Mexican food. Not your typical fare with lots of refried beans and rice.
My old school friends decided to get-together before the holiday rush and a a place that was "centrally" located so I chose El Paso. It did not disappoint. Its right off the 6 train so perfect for all of us. The red sangria there is terrible but everything else was delicious. The ambiance was very pretty and the music playing in the background was light enough so that the table across from us couldn't hear our conversation but not too loud where we couldn't hear ourselves.
With great company and good food and drinks....how could we go wrong. Overall, we had a great time.
Perfect mixed drinks. We've enjoyed
margaritas these are right out of
a pair if wise bar hands. Our son
joined and we had chicken mole,
seafood cocktail, a handful of good
drinks, chips and red dip.
Excellent food with amazing service. Suggestions by host were perfect and every dish was a delight! Eat here!
Didn't have items that were on the menu. Server was rude. Paid for our drinks and left. Worse experience
The menu on line is not the same as in the restaurant. They added 20% tip (and we paid) but the service was poor and slow. The restaurant was half empty.
My colleagues and I went for lunch after a session at the Museum of the city of New York. I had made a reservation but there was plenty of room - cocktails and guacamole were offered and arrived promptly, service was quick, cocktails and liquor selection was good, food satisfied everyone.
A neighborhood favorite! This restaurant serves the authentic and delicious food!
Creative cooking. IT was date night and El Paso did not disappoint.
Seafood stew well seasoned with a variety of seafood.
The food was really good but the portions are small!!! Don’t go there starving !!!! I loved the guacamole, it was amazing !!! The drinks are good, the ambiance is nice and the service was great.
I ordered press juice with ginger, carrot and Kale without the Apple. Juice has no ginger taste but has a sour taste.
This place was really good. We don't eat up here a lot so we were flying blind, but the tacos were awesome and the Vuelve a la vida was flavor-packed without being too salty. The oysters were pretty good, but I was just happy to see them on the menu, and they weren't overpriced. The wine was so-so. I'd come back.
Delicious food, comfortable atmosphere, great service, EXCELLENT MARGARITAS AND GUACAMOLE!
Great as always.
One of the best Mexican restaurants we've dined at in NYC. Worth the effort to get there if you don't life in East Harlem or on the east side. The food is delicious. Great cocktails (and selection). Decor with artifacts and design from Mexico and not the cheesy beverage company sponsored decor. Great outdoor patio if you are there for warm weather. Can be noisy sitting next to groups.
Everything was good, from service to food.we were greete upon arrival & sested immediately.
always great, my preference here is brunch. but all great. enjoy.
neighborhood a bit edgy.. but that can be anywhere in any city. the food is worth the displacement.. especially the guacamole.
Great high end Mexican in friendly environs. Food is great. Service is professional. Wide variety of demographics. Highly recommend.
Great little restaurant. Service was friendly, prompt. Great food selection-not typical of what you see in many NYC based Mexican restaurants. Very good value. Good range of cocktail choices and decent array of draught beer selections.
Flavorful, authentic dishes. Service is friendly but inattentive.
This is the worst experience I ever have!! Manager is so rude !!! I can't believe the way this Mg treat costumers ... Alvaro was not professional when I ask if I can't change my plate cuz was so spicy ... his answer was Well if u don't like it I should go some where else !! Really?? I hope the owner realize that his business is going done .. and I hope is not too late !! I work for a multinational company and I'll will send a mail to everyone in my company telling them to Don't come to El Paso !!! Good luck. U r gonna need it !! Hospitality??? Not this is Embarrassing!!
It was a great experience, food is good. I like their margaritas.. a little bit noisy but my server William was the start of the nite. .. very entertaining with a good sense of humor .. try the quesadillas and the fish tacos are very testy !!
Not credit cards !!! Which i understand... but the guy who bring my food did not tell me the plates r hot so I burned my hand ... and of course he told this is funny... and no apologies no managers everything was horrible. Am very disappointed.
Best. Guacamole. Ever. Loved the food and the service. Felt right at home.
A nixe variety of mexican food. And tequila drinks that dobt leave your memory foggy
I just to love this place ... but ... WHAT HAPPENED??? It was a fun place to have a nice relax dinner ... now it's like everyone is stress ... no fun and what happen with the music??? So sad ... and who is the new Mg ..skinny guy with a super star attitude?? ... no more huitlacoche??? I don't now if I coming back !!
I give 5 stars cuz my server was very nice and really make our nite amazing... He explained the menu and all his recommendations were excellent... food it's good music it's terrible... drinks r ok ... a little weak ... never saw any manager .... bathroom are really dirty... but I forgive you cuz my server (William if am not wrong ) Sing Happy Birthday for me !!! We definitely coming back and I hope they really change the cocktail menu and please clean the bathrooms !!!
Despite the very rainy Saturday the restaurant was full and very lively. My friends and enjoyed our meal and our drinks. It was my first time but they had been before.I would definitely go back.
Great food and margaritas, fun night!
I especially like the seafood tacos!
We had a lovely meal. Medium guac cd have used more pep & was quite smooth - for those who care about the consistency of their guac. margaritas were very good. Specials & regular menu items were all good, some excellent.
We go there all the time. The food is good and the staff is very friendly. It can get a bit noisy at times, especially close to happy hour time.
It was Cinco De Mayo. The restaurant honored our reservation, which was very good. But, the regular menu was not being offered. Instead, there was a greatly reduced one page menu, very uninspired.
El Paso never disappoints a true gem in East Harlem. We go from time to time, but never realized how spacious the restaurant is. Great decor, feels like you are on vacation. Food is very authentic and friendly service that feels like family. Definitely try El paso! A neighborhood staple!
