At El Gran Inka Brickell, featured dishes include ceviches with a mix of shrimp, octopus, and calamari, plus big plates like Tuna Tataki, grilled beef tenderloin (w/ jumbo shrimp and mashed yuca balls), and Pescador Al Lo Macho: a red wine sauce thickened into a salsa over calamari, octopus, and of course, lots of bulging mussels.

It was a slow night because of the wind from Hurricane Sandy. However, the food and the service was incredible! Our thanks to the waiter, Ricardo and our host, Diego. We will be back soon!

This restaurant has deteriorated significantly in the past year. I had not been here for dinner in some time and was surprised by the decline. The ceviche was fine but rather meager in its portions. The main courses were unremarkable with the tacu-tacu somewhat burned. In summary, what used to be an excellent Peruvian restaurant is now one more Brickell area eatery with no distinguishing characteristics.

The food was good, the service lame. They don't have many tables so make sure to make reservations if you're planning to go. Mild is very spicy, and spicy is impossible to eat!

Appetizer was bland and had little flavor. Had ceviche for the entree, ceviche was very good and the lemon juice/sauce they had it in was great, but was lacking a starch component. Dessert was this pie that ha an awkward flavor almost like jello. The passion fruit sauce over it was good though. My biggest complaint was the service. I work on brickell 4 buildings down from the restaurant and the service tool forever. I had to take a 2 hour lunch to get my meal done as it took 25 minutes juts to get my appetizer and just as long in between every other course! Terrible!

Food was very good as usual. Service was not. Felt rushed to order when they weren't very busy. Let them know early on it was my wife's bday and not even a reference was made all night. Drank my water and my wife's because our waitress was nowhere to be found. Finally saw our waitress and asked for refill toward the end of dinner and it still took over 5 minutes. Also, when we were done with our entrees, the waitress just brought our check. Never even asked if we would like dessert. That's my favorite part of dinner and I didn't have the choice. Will not be going back for dinner ever again. Lunch is usually much better.

As a Peruvian from Lima, evaluations on Peruvian food can be a little hard as the competition are mom's cooking and restaurants in Lima. Having said this, I think the food was pretty good for Lima standards. I had the following:-"Ceviche platter": Has 3 different forms of ceviche, plain, with yellow pepper and with rocoto pepper. Very good. -Pisco sour: It was just OK. Non-Peruvians will probably like it quite a bit. -Lucuma tu ma: VERY good cocktail based on lucuma, a fruit from Peru. -Suspiro limeno: Good. Would have been very good if the merengue would have been softer.

Made reservations on Valentines day. Valet parking was available aroudn the corner for $5. Place was nicely decorated for Valentines. Each table had a red balloon and live music entertainment was provided. Beauutiful restaurant and great looking bar. Stuffed yuquitas for an appetizer were pretty good. The lomo saltado was delicious! Finally tried a Pisco Sour which was pretty good as well. Overall I enjoyed the dinner. Service was a tad slow but expected on this date.

Unfortunately El Gran Inka in Brickell was a bit of a let down. The decor is very nice and well put together and the staff is patient and attentive. Now as far as the food goes, not good. I ordered anticuchos and a ceviche "sampler". That was good. I then ordered Lomo gran inka, which was not good at all. Everyone at my table was genuinely unsatisfied with their food. I was embarrassed cause I had family from Peru with me at the time. I've gone to other places where the prices are less than half and have been served tasty traditional Peruvian cuisine at a better quality. The only thing I can honestly say I'd go back for is their 'Pisco Sour', but ONLY the traditional pisco sour, the other are in no way a pisco cocktail.

For the evening my original itinerary was Sushi, but that Sushi bar would not pass anybody's Food Inspection. So, I walked a few doors down to find El Gran Inka - Brickell (aka INKA). I decided to take a chance considering; I was quite familiar with Peruvian Cuisine. INKA did not disappoint awesome food and superb ambiance. I had the Mild Yellow-Peruvian Chili Chicken Stew (which was recommended by the host), excellent suggestion. A must have when you dine here scrumptious to say the least.

The food was great Peruvian cuisine, especially the Lomo Saltado. The service was horrendous, our food would be ready in the window with the chef dinging the bell and our server wouldn't notice for like 5 minutes before finally bringing us our food that we had been looking at for 5 minutes. This restaurant suffers from poor management I think. If someone whips it into shape it would be a 5 star place.

Would make big difference. Parking at night is a problem....yes they have ballet, but parking was full and would not take our car!!

Visited "El Gran Inka" guided by a local TV ad, promoting the "ceviche festival". The restaurant has a very nice decor, quiet place, great for happy hours and small groups. Nice neighborhood, Brickel, but that it it. Food is well prepared, and presented. Service not too bad, however, I must say that my waitress did not know much about the size of the portions served in the restaurant and she totally missguided me regarding my choices. If you are a ceviche lover, and you like to eat ceviche, this is not the place for you. Servings are small compared to the price you are paying. The beer selection listed on their menu, was not available. Plenty of good choices in Miami for great ceviche, this is not one of them. You must pay vallet parking!!!

Service TERRIBLE!!!! saturday night hardly no one at the restaurant and we where a party of 8 and it just took forever to get service! At 11:00 p.m. they started cleaning the fish display with a very strong chemical odor, they should have being more considerate with their costumer who where still having coffe!! To top it off they didn't even have Johnny Walker Black Label! definitely not a repeat!

And and all we were very pleased. We know Peruvian food very well and this restaurant offers the best I have seen in Miami, outside of Peru. Portions are good and the prices are accordingly. There is one little thing we would like them to improve; the "Pisco Sour"; it was a bit weak, the taste of lemon was greater than that of Pisco! In general, we would go back and recommended to everyone.
