About El Farallon - The Resort at Pedregal
Tucked into the cliffs of The Resort at Pedregal and stocked daily with bounty from local fishermen, El Farallon is the most sought after dinner location in Los Cabos. Meaning “a rock that comes out of the ocean”, El Farallon has become a hallmark of exquisite dining at our luxury resort. Situated overlooking The Pacific Ocean, where Chef Gustavo Pinet sets only the best selection of local catch on mounds of shaved ice. Our fish experts will guide your selection with an old-fashioned scale that weights each choice.
Carved out of the rock appears The Champagne Terrace with a selection of over 15 different champagnes ranging from Blanc de Blancs to Rose to Vintage Champagnes. All you and your guests need to do is decide how many and what measure of each one you want. Eduardo Contreras, our Wine Director, and his team will be able to guide you through the process as well as help you learn about the champagne with a selection of imported cheeses and artisan salts.

El Farallon - The Resort at Pedregal Ratings and Reviews
Another great meal ! We showed up on time and had to wait 45 minutes for our table , but when I spoke to the manager to express my displeasure , we were promptly seated and provided cocktails . No harm no foul ! The food was outstanding , great service by our waiter , spectacular place for a fine meal . Our favorite restaurant in Cabo .
The view and location can’t be beat. Our food was delicious but a few dishes were less than extraordinary — which was surprising to us given that everybody we spoke to about our trip to Cabo said we absolutely had to eat here. That said, service was wonderful and we enjoyed our meal.
El Farallon never disappoints! The view alone is worth the price of dinner. We had a variety of the menu selections including surf & turf (i.e., ribeye w/ shrimp or lobster tail), snapper, jumbo shrimp, chicken fingers (kid's menu). One of our diners was gluten, soy and dairy free and the restaurant was deliciously accommodating. You enter the gated Pedregal Resort and drive through a tunnel bored into the side of a mountain. Treat yourself and celebrate a milestone birthday, propose, celebrate an anniversary at El Farallon and it will be that much more memorable.
It was a charming night to celebrate my son and his wife's 5 year anniversary. We were also celebrating 2 birthdays and the staff went the extra mile to bring a lovely fresh fruit dessert to my daughter in law who has sugar allergies. The 10 month old baby was treated with such delight by the staff making sure she was comfortable in her high chair. We had a wonderful evening watching the sunset and enjoying the talented musician and female vocalist. The meals were delicious and service impeccable.
The ambience is nice; however, we found the quality of food to be average. There is not a good view of the sunset as some of the reviews indicated. We were seated next to a big rock that blocked the sun and the view. There is no menu as they walk you though a food station where they show you the fresh selections of the day. You pick and order the selection along with the sides. There is a champagne bar for ordering French champagnes. Some of the glasses are pricey. We weren't well informed regarding the process by the waitstaff.. They do have mixed drinks and wine that can be ordered as well. When they brought out our food, we were inundated by flies. We were swatting and eating at the same. Guess that is part of nature, but they should put out the bags filled with water that a lot of outdoor restaurants do to ward off the flies. They did recognize our anniversary and made us a nice dessert with a chocolate placard. Overall, it was an average experience for us and there are very nice restaurants in the area at a better price.
We have been to a lot of nice places while traveling and this by FAR exceeded out expectations. It was our favorite meal
while in Cabo. Dont let the reviews About the prices scare you off. I am not sure where these people are eating or are from, but prices are more than reasonable for what you get. We had an amazing time and I would recommend this highly!!
El Farallon never disappoints! It’s always a stop for us in Cabo. Unfortunately Cabo was unseasonably hot and humid. We had hoped once the sun went down it would cool off - but with no breeze it only got hotter! Wish the restaurant had been prepared with fans and/or misters. Difficult to enjoy a wonderful meal when sweat is dripping off your nose.
The view from our table was paramount. Waves crashing casting a gentle sea spray as my wife and I sipped amazing champagne on our anniversary. The service was nothing shy of perfection. The staff is very attentive but not bothersome. The chef serves the freshest of ocean fare and matching sides to go along. I would go back in the drop of a hat.
First, if money is an issue do not dine here. I'm 61 and it was easily the most expensive restaurant I've ever been to.
Second, it was our 35th anniversary and there was no budget, the best was all that mattered.
Third, they succeeded! Wow what an amazing place to have dinner. The staff was beyond first class, food incredible. You start at the front ordering your food not all that different from Morton's bringing the steak tray out.
Sometimes you just have to say WTH, my wife is my life, she deserves the best. This was that place.
Thanks to the staff for making it so special!
We had a great time at El Farallon. The food was great and it was a very romantic night. That being said, there were bugs in my food and though I am not super picky about that, for that price I would have wished the restaurant would have done something about it. They didn't which was disappointing. But other than that, we had a great time
The service was good however the fact that they were is at least a hundred or so times that we were constantly being annoyed by flies was and will remain a deal-breaker. The View was excellent but once again having to fight off flies while you're trying to eat your ribeye steak was incredibly frustrating. For a dinner of two and which included a three-course meal for both and a shared dessert, as well as a total of three drinks, it came out to over $240. Once again if you wish to visit this establishment do so when there aren't ten thousand flies competing to eat your meal.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. Tucked away on a cliff just past Cabo San Lucas overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It is an incredible experience. Do it if it's only once. It's very pricey but worth it. I don't want to say too much and give it away. Keep in mind that gratuity is included in the menu prices.
The steak was $111 and had a lot of fat... I was only able to eat about half of it because it was so fatty.. when the food came out hundreds and hundreds of flys came and attacked our food and us... the service was great.. our waiter Oscar was awesome..the view was great... but overall I wouldn't recommend this place... for the money it's not worth it.
