Our first time there and our food was dry like it was sitting under a heat lamp for awhile. But the Fresca drinks were very good. We are still looking for a good place that represents California mex

I was really underwhelmed by this restaurant. I was so exited, because I heard it was the best Mexican restaurant in Las Vegas and the Chef was even on chopped, but even before I got there it was going down hill. First they do not mention its in strip row, and next to a strip club. 2cnd they took for ever to acknowledge you, and it was not even full. 3rd, they were slow. 4th the food was not that great, 5th the price was way too much for the food they gave you. The only thing that was decent was the margarita. The other good thing was that I got a free flan for my birthday and that was actually the best thing, if I go back it would be to get a flan to go, otherwise it was not worth the trip. This restaurant needs a serious update on the décor as well, sorry I did not like this place.

We found this place by googling family friendly Mexican restaurants in Las Vegas, and El Dorado Cantina was consistently at the top of the list. When we arrived, I was surprised to find that the restaurant is directly adjacent to a strip club, and started to doubt it's "family friendly" nature. But the reviews were all positive so we went inside and were pleased to find a very nice and warm atmosphere, and some delicious, authentic Mexican food. They even had crayons and colouring sheets with games and all the like, so you can tell they do cater to families. All around a great experience, would definitely recommend.

We had a great meal here. Margaritas were fabulous. They have a great tequila selection. The mole was good, guacamole very fresh. We had the mole sampler with 3 types - all different and all really good. They even had grilled chicken spicy lettuce wraps for our friend eating Paleo & she raved over how tasty they were.

This was our 4th time eating here! The food is amazing! The mole sampler was very educational. We love their bowls and tacos! Table side guacamole is a must. We always end up ordering at least 2 due to the fact that it’s that good; although it’s pretty heavy on the onion which they can reduce if you want. Sangria was tasty but their margaritas are just ok.
They had soccer of some TVs and some cheesy Mexican singer on other TVs, with the volume turned up really high.
Great food and decor, a bit lacking in embiance.

Food was very good, however the service was poor. We were seated at our table, and it was 15 minutes before our server came by, then another 15 minutes before he took our order. It was not extremely busy, so the was not really an excuse, so the other server roaming around, but never ours.

The Chips and salsa were very good, along with the entrees. Prices were kind of high for a Mexican restaurant, but the food was good.

Noise level was really loud, i think they may have to have the music really loud to drown out the music from the strip club next door, the share a building with a extremely large strip club. The lighting was really dim at the table and one of our party had to use their phone to shine on the menu to read it.

The Food was very good, but I would probably not go back due to the ambiance and location, but especially the service.

The best Mexican food I have ever had. My husband and I both ordered tacos. He ordered shrimp tacos, I ordered the vegetarian tacos and WOW! The flavors were unlike any other taco flavors we had before. His shrimp tacos had a whole different flavor than my vegetarian ones did. Sometimes when you order similar foods they taste basically the same just with an add on, but not here. The salsas were to die for! We talked about asking them for a jar to purchase and take home (we forgot at the end) but they were that good. Very reasonably priced! We visited on our first day in Vegas and wished we had more time to go back. If you have time please go! You won't regret it!

Right next to a strip club. If I could give less than one star, I would. The waitress had a very bad attitude and did not listen to us well. The food was not bad

Went there for lunch and had a picture of the Cadillac margaritas that was very good. The shrimp and Mahi tacos were the best that I’ve had in years. Will definitely come back when in town.

Service was outstanding. food was dry, cold, or over cooked. seemed like for 250.00 it should have been fresh. everything was remade but even then pork was tough and appeared pre-made.

We were in Vegas celebrating an anniversary. We made reservations for the three nights we were there--Mexican, Chinese and seafood. El Dorado was highly rated on yelp and was close to our hotel.
When we entered we noticed that the restaurant was very dark. We had to use our phone flashlight to see the menu. We ordered margaritas and they were too sour. Not enough sweetener. We ordered 3 appetizers for dinner and they were very good and enough for us.
We were surprised with a flan with a candle and pictures were taken with us wearing sombreros they provided. A fun night!

We went to the El Dorado cantina for my Son's 21st. Birthday dinner.
First, we didn't know it was attached to a strip club.
Second, the food and alcoholic beverages weren't very good at all.
My husband said the guacamole was very good. And luckily he liked it otherwise we would have had to go somewhere else to get dinner because our entre's weren't good.
Service and ambiance was great, wish I could give a better review. But after paying $150 for 4 people and not really being able to get the food down. Wasn't worth it!

This place is attached to a strip club, so families be aware!! The service was wonderful, although the music was a bit too loud for our whole group to talk across the table. The food was really good...I have NEVER said "Wow!" about refried beans before! However, it was a bit pricey. Overall, I would go back, but probably split a meal to save some $$...

Delicious!! Finding healthy Mexican food in Las Vegas? Crazy idea but it came true in this place! Excited to find authentic Mexican off the strip, reasonable prices and farm fresh produce. We liked it so much we went back for lunch the next day and ordered take out a week later! If you’re tired of overpriced drinks and meals- try this place, you won’t regret. Staff is awesome. Chicken nachos are the best!

Maybe we were there on an off night, but the food did not measure up to the hype. The refried beans were good. But the cilantro rice on both meals was crunchy and dry. My chicken enchiladas were dry and my husbands carnitas rajas burrito was also dry. We went through 4 bowls of chip salsa trying to add some moisture. The salsa, btw, was excellent - especially the green one. The service was excellent, as well. The restaurant is open 24/7, so maybe things weren't as fresh as they should be -- but it was dinner time.... Also, restaurant is located in the same building as a strip club. That may be a turn off for some people, but it really doesn't effect anything.

Food was over priced and check in gets you a free flan if you show the waitress your review only if you show them before your meal is complete. I refused to show and was charged and not being in the mood to fight with a manager over an 8 dollar flan that I can buy at a grocery store. Oh the kicker....it’s literally next door to a strip club so have fun with young guys screaming their heads off like animals in the parking lot
