The service was super poor. Waiter didn’t check on us not one time when we got our food. Didn’t refil our drinks or give us our check we had to go ask for it as well as to go boxes. The food was good but idk if it was worth the price because the service was not good. Unfortunately we wouldn’t recommend to go there because for me service is very important. And for my husband much more because he owns several businesses.

The food is on point. Some of the best Mexican in Las Vegas. The hosting staff is flustered at best.

We have been going here for a couple of years now. They had a change of management, and for a blink the food got worse, but now we can say it's even better than before the management change. They are still organic non-gmo, and Chef Paco is still running the kitchen. So, all is well, and it's a great healthy pesticide free restaurant option that not just raw veggies. :) Thanks!

We went the first time and it was great about 6 months ago. This time was absolutely aweful. Runny wet and greasy tacos. Server more worried about up charges than leaving us alone to talk. Won’t be back.

The food was fresh and delicious, ingredients were high quality and authentic. My only complaint is when we asked for more chips we were refused saying that only two baskets were allowed for our party of 7.

Note: it is directly next to a gentleman’s club so that was a bit alarming as we were dining with children, but it didn’t seem to be a problem as many other families were also dining there.

This was so fantastic we went there two nights in a row! The first night we got nachos, a veggie burrito and cheese enchilada. On the nachos we asked for extra cheese and I’m so glad we did because it was so so good. Some people would think it’s a lot of cheese but it was perfect for my husband and i. The cheese enchilada came with rice and beans and was good too. The nachos were so big we ate just that and the enchilada and ended up getting a to go box for the burrito. We had the burrito the next morning and it was good but the only complain i have about the burrito is it came with big chunks of carrots and I wouldn’t mind but they weren’t cooked fully so some were really crunchy.

We were given chips and salsa when we got there and it was so good both salsa were thick and flavorful the first night
The second night the red sauce was thick but the salsa verde wasn’t as thick as I would like it to have been.

The second night we went there we had nachos and the queso fundido. The nachos were so good but the fundido was okay. If you let it sit for 5 min then the cheese gets a little stiff, it was okay because I put it on my nachos but wouldn’t order it again.
We were going to get the churros but decided not to because we were so full from the nachos and the tortillas we got with The queso

Overall the place was fantastic.

Oh p.s. don’t be worried it was next to a strip club it was very clean inside and Everything was kid friendly.

Our service was friendly but a little disjointed - there was a lack of communication between our server and backwaiter.
I was also bothered that when my Mom stated that she couldn't eat anything spicy and asked if the enchilada sauce was spicy she was told she wouldn't have a problem. The sauce is moderately spicy and while it was tasty, my Mom had a difficult time eating it and brought half of her meal home. I love how attentive El Dorado is to food sensitivities but the same attention should be given to spice level.
I will return but probably won't bring my parents again.

Great food and service. The fact that it shares an entrance with a Gentleman’s Club is a little tricky with kids, but it’s still worth the trip.

Food and service was great but we got placed at one of the two tables at the entrance, and did not get the experience we would have liked to. There were people waiting for a table practically sitting on top of us. We would have stayed and spent more on drinks but the location we sat killed it for us.

We love El Dorado! This wasn’t our first visit, however we usually sit at the bar for dinner.
This time we had a party of 5. The wait time to get a drink at our table was ridiculous. But we were patient. It continued from there to the point where everyone’s meal was served except for one person who had to wait another 5 minutes. Once the waitress brought it out there was no apology and mention of the delay. The manager and hostess both came over and apologized and offered to help but it was just disappointing.

Amazing food and service! Love finding good Mexican food when I am out of town. Having Celiac it is always important to find a restaurant that is aware of food complications, and El Dorado goes above and beyond to insure your food is safe! Found a jewel in this one and we will definitely be back!

Whenever I am in town for business or vaca, I bring people to the El Dorado. After giggling about the location right next to the Sapphire Lounge, everyone I’ve taken there has raved bout he experience. Just enough Vegas over the top with better prices than you find on the strip.

The food is organic, non-GMO and they list their suppliers on the menu which is how I prefer to eat. The jalapeño margarita is always my favorite, and my companion enjoyed the Cadillac margarita too. I can’t come here with ordering Mexican style corn off the cob, and a giant plate of 3 types is mole. Unfortunately it is way more than I could ever eat (and mole isn’t for everyone) but the leftovers after a night on the town are just as delicious. Upscale Mexican food done right.

Good service. Next to the Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club. Dark, quiet, nice interior.

Food quality was pretty good. Some item’s value vs. price were bosrderljne.

Service good until the end where they pushed HARD to get 5* reviews on Yelp. If you agreed to write, a free Flan came your way. Pushed to a point of physically taking the phone to get to review page, checking if you were done. Very annoying.

Booked two tables of 10 and needed to wait, first 20min, then another 20min for our tables. Got blamed for it even though they could not give us the tables separately. Good nothing to cheer about and a fixed tip already included when groups over 6.

This was our 3rd visit to El Dorado Cantina, which had become our "must go" spot for Mexican food in Las Vegas. It's puzzling, however, that our latest experience fell so far below expectations that we thought perhaps the ownership had changed. Turned out that's not the case, so the decline is inexplicable.

1st - What happened to the enchilada sauce? My wife and I ordered different enchilada dishes, but both were excessively dry. Mine had a red coloring that looked more like the tortillas were lightly brushed with a powdery substance that reeked of excessive chili powder. I didn't even finish one.

2nd - I had a $10 OpenTable discount (I miss when they were all $20 :-( ) . When we paid the bill, the server acted as if he had never seen such a thing before, so he had to check with the manager. That turned out to be the owner.

3rd - the chef/owner appeared at our table, informing us that he'd give us the $10 discount, but that they weren't affiliated with OpenTable. Huh? That's how I made my reservation. The owner made the dubious accusation that OpenTable lists restaurants without their consent. How is it then, that the hostess was able to look up my reservation before she seated us at our table??? I have no idea what's going on here, but El Dorado Cantina is no longer a "must go" for us. There's something very dysfunctional going on.

We’ve been to this restaurant several times but this was the first time for breakfast. The food as always was great. However we thought it a bit odd that we could not substitute rice or beans for potatoes without an up charge. This is a Mexican restaurant after all and rice and or beans are somewhat par for the course. Additionally this is not an inexpensive place. When we got out check we found we were charged for a coffee refill. We have been to many upscale restaurants and never have been charged for refills of coffee, tea or soft drinks. As much as we like the food at El Dorado Cantina we may think twice about going again based in the nickel and diming pricing policy
