El Coyote Ratings and Reviews
Always great except this time. A new waitress i guess. She spilled my wine when taking it off the tray. We ordered macaroni that never came but was still on the bill. Nose rings & low cut shirts are trashy so I wouldnt expect someone who has one to be working at a place like this...
El Coyote has always been a favorite of mine, especially their steaks. I moved from Cincinnati and had not been there in several years. I was very excited to be in town and have my favorite meal at El Coyote with my daughter. I was surprised that the price of my favorite steak (petite filet) had grown considerably! I shrugged it off because I knew I wouldn't be back to El Coyote for a long while. Furthermore, although the food and service was excellent there was a long table of guests eating right next to our table that was extremely loud and obnoxious. It was very stressful and really affected my dinner with my daughter. We couldn't believe the restaurant did not say anything to the guests for the loud voices. I was extremely disappointed. If you are planning a romantic dinner at El Coyote, I would consider going somewhere else.
This is a go-to location for birthday's, etc. I have had good and not so good experiences. This was one of the best. We were there Sunday, October 8th at around 5:30. Our waiter was outstanding, the best I have had in years. You should be proud to have such an attentive waiter in your employment.
I haven't been there since 2005 and wasn't impressed. The waiter was not attentive for drinks or issues with our food. The guacamole was oily and gross. I could not eat my rice because I am allergic to peppers and it was not listed that way on the menu. Because the waiter didn't come back soon enough, he didn't ask if I wanted something else until we were finished with our meal. I wish it would have been a better experience.
This is our 2nd visit and we returned because our first experience was so positive. Very disappointed in food, services, and atmosphere on this 2nd visit. Food quantity was great, but there was no flavor. We ended up throwing leftovers out in the dumpster even before we left the parking lot. They did honor the reservation and we were seated promptly; service we friendly but slow. So sad that our experience this time was so different from the first time; We probably won't be back.
Disappointed. Medium steak was charred on the outside. Potato skins not flavorful. Sautéed mushrooms not seasoned. Not as good as it once was. Didn't complain, that's what's good about democracy, I choose not to go there again. Positive side was our waitress was excellent.
Hadn't eaten there since their Northern Kentucky location closed several years ago. Saw their sign and made reservations at Ohio location. The food was exactly as expected..SUPERB! Steak and chops the best we've ever had. Side items are delicious. El Coyotes tradition lives on.
We love the food at El Coyote's. It's so tasty. The only thing I missed from previous visits is the fresh shredded cheddar on their salads. They use precut bag cheese now which is a disappointment. Other than that, our meal was perfect. The booths are not comfortable. The booths are very tight if you're a normal sized adult and the high backs of the booths are very straight and uncomfortable. We wound up moving to a table to be more comfortable with our party of 4. If they remodeled the booths, I would give them a 5 star for everything!
Service was outstanding but food was HORRIBLE! Ordered a 12oz strip, Med rare and it came well done. Sides were cold. Only good part about the food was the salad and my coke! If I'm ordering a $30 steak!! You better cook it as ordered! Will never come back! Its the third time I've had this happen.
3 strikes you're out!
Haven't been there in a long time but it seemed to me that the food quality has gone downhill and at least some of the items are over-priced. Our server was great --very attentive despite there being a big crowd. I think patron's best bet is to stick to Mexican and Tex Mex offerings
Last time we were there was for my boyfriend's birthday last weekend. We drive all the way from Dayton, Ohio to come here. This is one of our favorite restaurants of all time. Flavor explodes in your mouth in every bite. No matter what we've ordered, it has been downright delicious. Steaks are HUGE. I recommend El Coyote to everyone that will listen. Cincy's hidden treasure!
Still one of my go-to favorites to visit a few times every year. Always have the sour cream enchiladas. Excellent salsa. Others in our group had salmon, pork chops and another enchilada dinner. While known for their sides, the last few times the mashed potatoes just were not as good as they used to be. Our server was great. Will definitely dine there again.
The four of us love this restaurant. The service was excellent, and so is the food. The Yucatan Chicken is the best. Portions are large enough that we took half home and had a second meal. The cheeseburger was excellent as well. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends.
