Super delicious gluten free albóndigas. The refried beans were a hit with all 7 of us.
We felt it might have been an off-night for the restaurant since it was Father's Day. Food didn't come out as ordered and one order was late. Some food was better than others, which tells us that maybe it's worth another try.
We went for Fathers Day. Service was very good, (Kimberly) but my meal was room temperature, at best. Everyone's meals were only slightly warm but mine was cold, especially the chili relleno. Our first time there and obviously, our last.
Lovely setting, good food, great location. Beautiful live music.
After reading about El Cisne in Tucson Lifestyle and seeing the photo of the ceviche, I was looking forward to enjoying it. I've had much better ceviche in 2 other local restaurants and the mojito was just average. I don't think we'll be back, since there are other better and, closer Mexican restaurants that we like.
El Cisene is a terrific restaurant. Great food and service. We always feel welcome.
I chose this place because they Support Arizona Public Media. The service was excellent. The menu is varied. My companion said his shrimp dish was good. I had the only vegetarian option on the menu (an eggplant dish) and thought it was filling but uninspired. I had hoped that I would be able to have the cheese enchiladas, but both red and green sauce use animal bases. I would not return because of the limited menu that fits my vegetarian practice. I say I would recommend the place because of my companion's comment, the excellent service and the very good guitarist/vocalist. Myself, I'll not be going back.
Excellent Mexican dishes. Loved the fish tacos and flavor all side dishes. Musician was in house, which created an authentic experience.
Could not get chip refill
Did not come around for drink refill, when you did get his attention he only refilled your drink request but not the others at the table.
Music was so loud having a conversation was difficult.
Food was excellent. The night i was there some kind of an event/mixer was being held in the bar and front of the restaurant which was very very loud. If this is the case when you are going, take an outdoor table. I will go again because the food was great, but the noise was an issue.
Food was delicious not your run of the mill Mexican food well prepared and ample proportions. Would recommend for any one who is looking for high quality authentic Mexican cuisine.
Always a great place to take friends, great food, great service. Fantastic Margarita's. We will be back again and again.
Delicious food and very reasonable. Great service too. The only negative was the scant wine list. But the margarita was delicious!!
My wife and I frequent El Cisne often. We love the salsa and the food is excellent. The wait staff is prompt and friendly. The atmosphere is very nice and comfortable. If want to go iut for a special occasion or just someplace nice and you’ve never been here you should give it a try. The food is great and they have a nice bar.
Good good terrible service. Had to flag someone down to get served twice.
We love El Cisne! Great food, attentive service, quiet and serene. Celebrated our last night in Tucson here.
Went on a recommendation from Hacienda Del Sol. We were seated right away. The service was very good and friendly. A size-able menu with many great options. The food was very good and the price was good.
Excellent food. Our server was amazing. She was quite knowledgeable about the menu items. The mole oaxaqueno was probably the best mole I’ve had in my life.
More variety than many Mexican restaurants. I had sea bass that was very nicely prepared and my wife enjoyed a chicken dish. Service and ambiance were quite good. We were there on a Friday night and a guitar player was going all evening which made conversation a little strained but not annoyingly so. This was our first visit and we will definitely be returning.
This was my first visit to El Cisne and I was thoroughly impressed. The food was fantastic and the service even better.
We enjoyed the pleasant and helpful server who was so welcoming. She gave us great explanations of the menu offerings. We liked the fact that the menu included southern Mexican and Baja menus, as well as traditional Sonoran recipes like tacos, burritos, etc. Wonderful chicken Mole!
Quiet, friendly atmosphere. Excellent food with great customer service. We were greeted as we came in and shown to our table right away. We had reservation for 12:15 but had to changed our time to 30 minutes later with no problem. I had the topopo salad topped with huge chunks of delicately cooked fish with their “secret” sauce. Yummy, yum! My first time here but I know it won’t be my last! My aunt from the East Coast wanted to try fish tacos while she was out here. Never had any. Her salmon tacos completed her bucket list on this trip. I think the salmon tacos may be something she will look forward to on trips here!
Creative Mexican food, very good service and unique cocktails.
The service was slow. The meal was good, but the ceviche was too limey and soupy.
This restaurant has later hours so good for the late night dining. Guitar entertainment can sometimes be loud. Food good. Chile rellanos good.
We were there early so it was nice and quiet. Service was great as was the food.
my wife and I both ordered chimichangas. They were huge and very good. The ingredients were fresh and the flavor was outstanding. This is a great place for Mexican food.
Not your standard Mexican food. Great service, interesting dishes. Reasonably priced. Would definitely go back.
Great food and service. This is our second visit. Clearly, the locals like it!
We love this friendly neighborhood gem. The mole is wonderful, just the right amount of spice. The cevice tostadas are scrumptious and a good value for happy hour. I'm a margarita snob and do not like the extra tart/sweet taste of many margaritas. This one is just the way I like it. The service here is always very good. Our waiter, Mario, is always happy, friendly, and eager to please; really makes us feel at home. We will return, again and again.
Average food and service. Very noisy.
Totally mundane storefront appearance from outside, but inside was very nice inviting multi-level dining area + bar. Excellent food and drink. Live guitar player. Will come again when in the area.
Service took way too long to get to the table. Was forced to order off of the prix fixe menu and had no prior knowledge of that while making the reservation online. Was given a 6 chair table for only 2 people when there were other 2 person tables open. The food was okay. Nothing great especially for the price. The service was so slow that I got the check and got out of there before I waited even longer to get dessert. Still gave the waiter 20%. I will never understand people who don't. I definitely won't be going back.
Nice restaurant, but they were not prepared for the Valentine's day rush. We had to ask several times for drinks, and it took over an hour to put in our order for dinner. The food was good, but when it was time to order dessert they had run out of everything. We will go back on a night that isn't so busy to get a better feel for the quality of the establishment.
very disappointed it took 30 min to order a drink 45min for appetizers to arrive. I had to ask the terrible waitress to take our dinner order when she finally delivered the app. After another half hour we called the owner over to find out where our dinner was. by the time we got our dinner we had been there two hours. it was not only Valentine's Day but my Birthday as well. we asked for our desserts to go. when we arrived home we opened the boxes and there was just sloppy wet mess of very small dessert portions. Our first and last visit at this restaurant!
What a beautiful evening! Wonderful food and the music was beautiful!
Food was good. Service very slow. 2 of 3 desserts we asked for on the menu were not available. Noise level a little higher than average. Waitet was very friendly, but quite unattentive and got one order wrong.
The food was outstanding. The service was problematic in that our server had trouble hearing us and served the after dinner drinks cold instead of hot which we were very clear about when we ordered. The house margarita was average at best.
We were a party of seven on a Friday night. I wanted to impress my guests who were locals and out-of-towners, but service was slow. One entree was barely warm, and the chimichanga was very oily. The salmon and sea bass were excellent. I'm willing to try one more time.
