This multi-cultural Mexican heritage is the heart and soul of El Cisne Restaurant. Each dish and drink is prepared and served by our highly experienced staff in a modern contemporary setting that is both elegant and relaxed. We hope you enjoy your experience and thank you for visiting us!
Amazing, authentic, delicious food and drinks! We couldn't get enough of the tortillas and the margaritas were fresh. Staff was very attentive and friendly. We are new to the area and will definitely be back and we will have to try the cinco leches cake!
We spent our 4 year anniversary here, recommended by a neighbor!!! Oh my the best kept secret of Tucson!!!! Amazing food and service (Mario) our waiter was the best!!! We will definitely go back there and I will recommend this place to all of my friends!!
We had a delicious dinner at El Cisne. Only surprise was the ceviche appetizer, which for the first time, was super spicy! We spoke with the manager, and he had the kitchen make us a batch with NO jalapeno, and it was yummy!
The food was delicious and came to the table promptly and was hot and the plating was very nice. The atmosphere is good, music wasn't too loud or annoying. Our server was great. Professuonal, knowledgeable and very friendly.
If you have never been here, you are really missing out on some great food and service. Some of the best Mexican food in Tucson. Always been happy with our dinners and the kind staff.
The music was nice but too loud. I felt like we had to shout to hear one another at the table. We spoke to our waiter who immediately took action. The volume was lowered but as we progressed through dinner it seemed the volume went back up.
always the destination Mexican restaurant for guest outa owners... and for us anytime. Great to have it nearby.
Best restaurant in Tucson. Seafood is fresh and delicious. Authentic Mexican cuisine.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful.
We had a meeting of a book club following our discussion at our house. We meet socially and it was lovely. It was Sunday night and there is entertainment. The Spanish guitarist plays beautifully. The meal was great and the sopapillas were enjoyed by all
El Cisne is an excellent Mexican cuisine restaurant! High quality food and warm ambiance- Just wish the guitar guy was there every night for a couple hours, not just Sunday.
Defintiely the best chili rellenos in Tucson, I normally get the tomatillo sauce on the side.
Birthday dinner. Very nice, decent food. Great atmosphere, food was ok.
Good food, nice music, nice atmosphere. We would go there again!
Food was tasty & well cooked o really. Server was OK, but not exactly exemplary.
Atmosphere was OK - the outside patio faces directly into a busy commercial parking lot.
Inside seating is much preferred.
Consistently excellent Mexican food at a neighborhood place.
In the past we have enjoyed El Cisne, so I decided to bring my in-laws to celebrate their birthdays. The service was absolutely outstanding! But...the food, not so much. It WOULD HAVE BEEN GOOD, had LESS SALT been used. (I should have requested "No salt," but forgot.) All four of us agreed that the food was overly salty.
I'm sure that many of your patrons are over 50, with high blood pressure and/or heart disease, and excess salt is extremely bad, if not dangerous, for those conditions. Lower salt in all food would be more healthful for most people, and even improve the taste. I can honestly say that your food was SO salty, it almost prevented me from tasting the actual flavors of Mexico--which I know El Cisne is known for! Unfortunately, we won't plan on coming back unless you can correct this problem.
My friend and I ordered the Tortilla Soup with added chicken (paid extra). The soup was very bland and watery. The only thing that made the meal enjoyable was our server, who went out of his way to please us.
The food is unbelievably awesome, the margaritas are fantastic, the staff is efficient and attentive and the price cannot be beat for quality food.
Great food, service! This fast becoming one of our very favorites!
We have visited El Cisne many times and at times it is very very good and other times not so much. Our waiter was very good, but my wife got the wrong order after waiting a extended amount of time for our food. Yes, the restaurant was busy, but by the time the food arrived we did not seem as hungry as when we came in. It was a long wait, so perhaps they were not prepared to be busy on a Thursday night. We will wait awhile before we go back.
El Cisne is always an enjoyable evening. The food and service are terrific.
Excellent service, Excellent food and quality food.
Best Chile Rellenos anywhere? A great spot for lunch or dinner.
The ambience is refined, understated. The seating arrangements are cozy, but still private and I could have a normal-level conversation during peak seating. With my mom, I split a combo sampler and everything was flavorful. Wonderful sauces. I had a nicely balanced House Margarita-nothing exotic or over the top- just really good. Split a honey topped flan, and service was attentive. I didn’t have to wait for anything. My waiter or other servers checked frequently. It was a surprise pleasure to meet the owner and learn of his expansion plans. I so wish he’d expand in Marana. I’ve been to all the popular Mexican restaurants and they’re all fine. But there is something special and intimate here. And so I will be back very soon to share this new favorite with my husband.
We found this place by chance and we ended up eating twice in a week. Brought friends with us second time. Great food and service! The homemade tortillas are delicious. We had a party of 8 and everyone loved their meal. Would definitely recommend this place!
We went to the restaurant on a beautiful evening and had expected nicer outside seating. The inside looks very nice but the outside was basically a few tables on the sidewalk next to a parking lot. The food was very good - not great. The traditional margarita i ordered was only ok.
We will return for sure. Everything was excellent. This may be the best Mexican style restaurant in Tucson and Tucson has a lot of great ones!!!
Food was outstanding. Server was very good. A little lacking in ambiance. We arrived at 5:30 p.m. and it wasn't too noisy, but was by the time we left at 7:30 p.m.. This is a very nice restaurant with a unique menu. Great for taking out-of-town guests. Skip the outdoor seating as it is too close to the parking lot.
The appetizer- mushrooms with chorizo- was quite tasty, served with a creamy salsa. I was a bit disappointed in my hockey mole. The mole was heavy on cloves, cinnamon and chocolate to the point that is was more of a sweet dish than a savory dish.
Great food and wonderful service. Give it a try!
Delicious food with a yummy twist. Far above usual Mexican food restaurants. We loved it and will definitely return.
Nice evening, they had a two person group playing music and they were very good and not loud at all, added to the ambience. Overall service was good, we were in and out in a hour which is good. The food was very good including the chips and salsa. Everyone in our party agreed.
Will be going back.
excellent food and excellent service…. a bit noisier than usual, though
We visit Tucson once per year, and this is always on our list for a visit. Genuine Mexican food with great service every time. I wanted different ingredients in the vegie chimichanga--no problem. Our server suggested a different set of ingredients and it was delicious. Drinks were excellent as well. I will say that on past visits (same time of year, same day of the week) I don't recall it being as crowded as it was this year. We made a reservation and when we saw folks waiting to get in, were happy we did so.
The company was better than the food. $38 for lunch, including tip, for two of us, and we split ONE marguerita. Food is pretty good, but for that price at lunchtime, I expect a lot more.
Excellent food and wonderful service. Have eaten here a few times. Will definitely eat here again. Also a plus for us and how we discovered them is that they are a sponsor of Arizona Public Media.
The food is sub par. I had the Chile relleno. The refried beans were tasteless and the rice, too. Lousy food.
Normally, I love El Cisne for the food and ambiance. The restaurant was very noisy this particular night due to a band and large group having a party in the front of the restaurant. We still enjoyed our experience.
Second time at El Cisne. The first was for dinner which was excellent! Based on that experience, we chose El Cisne to meet some out-of-town guests for lunch. Unfortunately, the lunch experience was far below the dinner experience. Service was extremely slow (restaurant was not at all busy), and the food, while okay, lacked the depth of flavors we had experienced at dinner. "Bland" is probably the best description. In addition to the lack of flavor, the flour tortilla of the fish tacos was soggy and broke apart when picked up. Ended up having to eat the tacos with a fork. The huevos rancheros lacked a sauce and was basically eggs with salsa and side of beans.
