The service was slow. The meal was good, but the ceviche was too limey and soupy.
This restaurant has later hours so good for the late night dining. Guitar entertainment can sometimes be loud. Food good. Chile rellanos good.
We were there early so it was nice and quiet. Service was great as was the food.
my wife and I both ordered chimichangas. They were huge and very good. The ingredients were fresh and the flavor was outstanding. This is a great place for Mexican food.
Not your standard Mexican food. Great service, interesting dishes. Reasonably priced. Would definitely go back.
Great food and service. This is our second visit. Clearly, the locals like it!
We love this friendly neighborhood gem. The mole is wonderful, just the right amount of spice. The cevice tostadas are scrumptious and a good value for happy hour. I'm a margarita snob and do not like the extra tart/sweet taste of many margaritas. This one is just the way I like it. The service here is always very good. Our waiter, Mario, is always happy, friendly, and eager to please; really makes us feel at home. We will return, again and again.
Average food and service. Very noisy.
Totally mundane storefront appearance from outside, but inside was very nice inviting multi-level dining area + bar. Excellent food and drink. Live guitar player. Will come again when in the area.
Service took way too long to get to the table. Was forced to order off of the prix fixe menu and had no prior knowledge of that while making the reservation online. Was given a 6 chair table for only 2 people when there were other 2 person tables open. The food was okay. Nothing great especially for the price. The service was so slow that I got the check and got out of there before I waited even longer to get dessert. Still gave the waiter 20%. I will never understand people who don't. I definitely won't be going back.
Nice restaurant, but they were not prepared for the Valentine's day rush. We had to ask several times for drinks, and it took over an hour to put in our order for dinner. The food was good, but when it was time to order dessert they had run out of everything. We will go back on a night that isn't so busy to get a better feel for the quality of the establishment.
very disappointed it took 30 min to order a drink 45min for appetizers to arrive. I had to ask the terrible waitress to take our dinner order when she finally delivered the app. After another half hour we called the owner over to find out where our dinner was. by the time we got our dinner we had been there two hours. it was not only Valentine's Day but my Birthday as well. we asked for our desserts to go. when we arrived home we opened the boxes and there was just sloppy wet mess of very small dessert portions. Our first and last visit at this restaurant!
What a beautiful evening! Wonderful food and the music was beautiful!
Food was good. Service very slow. 2 of 3 desserts we asked for on the menu were not available. Noise level a little higher than average. Waitet was very friendly, but quite unattentive and got one order wrong.
The food was outstanding. The service was problematic in that our server had trouble hearing us and served the after dinner drinks cold instead of hot which we were very clear about when we ordered. The house margarita was average at best.
We were a party of seven on a Friday night. I wanted to impress my guests who were locals and out-of-towners, but service was slow. One entree was barely warm, and the chimichanga was very oily. The salmon and sea bass were excellent. I'm willing to try one more time.
Awesome. Love the guitar player! Great food. Great service.
We found El Cisne to be one of the best Mexican restaurant ‘s in Tucson!!
Good casual dining and food. Recommended.
Delicious food makes El Cisne our newest favorite restaurant, and we are anxious to share the place with friends.
Great food and service. Excellent seafood Mexican style.

It is just a lovely place. You wouldn’t think that since it’s located in a strip mall but all the shops are occupied so it’s certainly a safe area. The food was delicious! On Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays they have live music and our first experience was on a Tuesday night!! It’s our new favorite for great Mexican food!
One of the worst restaurant meals I've ever had. Watery, canned-tasting salsa (burning hot) and ceviche. The red snapper "special" was swimming in a gloppy tomato and green olive sauce that was so salty we couldn't eat it. Scraped that off and found 2 pieces of fish that tasted frozen and thawed. Flavor was so fishy and "off" that we didn't dare eat it.
Boyfriend's sautéed shrimp were chewy and had a strong iodine taste— Gulf Brown shrimp frozen too late, maybe?
When waiter saw the uneaten food, he asked if the fish was OK. I said, "Just too salty for me, I'm afraid."
"Oh, too salty," he replied. That was it. We didn't see any point in complaining, even for a $60 tab. How cooks can unload this stuff without even tasting it is beyond me. Can't believe they'd put this on the table in front of anyone, let along for what (at least in Tucson) are pretty stiff prices.
Friendly, competent service. Salsas are excellent as is the cheese crisp . Excellent Mexican food.
Excellent authentic food the tamales were worth the visit alone.
Food was okay... the music was too loud for any kind of conversation.
We never expected to find this well-reviewed restaurant on a busy street strip mall. Pleasantly surprised with this comfortable spot with well-prepared authentic Mexican food and excellent handcrafted margaritas.
I love El cisne! Great service, delicious margaritas, and fabulous food.
The bartender was very friendly, knowledgeable on good tequilas and proffesional. The waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable and efficient. The food? Great!I had the Shrimp Mojo de ajo...yummm! I highly recommend this place!
very nice décor, very friendly staff/we were there mid week so not at all crowded. food was ok. my friend pd $23.00 for seafood soup that was mostly broth a nd very little seafood. I wud probably give it another chance someday
Prices seemed high compared to other restaurants serving the same or better food. $14 for two tacos is high (most Mexican restaurants serve 3 tacos for the same or less price), (plus it was an extra $5 for guac!). Nothing special or out of the ordinary. The fajitas were OK...not much meat, lots of veggies and not much flavor. It was a ho-hum meal.
The restaurant was vey nicely appointed. That is, it didn't have the typical collection of items hanging on the walls which is sold on the streets of Mexico. The wait staff is professional and attentive. I liked the food so well that I had to do a take-out today for lunch on an order of tortilla soup even though it's over 100 degrees outside. I have found my "Mexican Restaurant" that I will frequent not only because it's a comfortable place to be but also you're treated like you're home both with nice staffing and good food.
Took another couple out for their birthdays. They liked their food. My husband and I were not impressed. Some things too bland e.g., fish tacos; others overly spicy, e.g., refried beans. Asked if we wanted guacamole and sour cream on our entrees but did not inform that we would be charged $5 each to add guacamole and $2 for sour cream to our dishes. Only saw it later on the bill. Live guitar musician talented, but VERY loud. Hard to have conversation. Won't return.
We really enjoy this place, great food and the service is fantastic. We highly recommend!
This is one of our regular eating spots for Mexican food. They cover a lot of Mexico's regions -Sonoran, Oaxaca & Vera Cruz. The food and service have always been excellent.
Not traditional mexican food flavors that we are used to, left after tasting salsa and ceviche.
Great food. Went there for Mothers' Day brunch. El Cisne was busy and festive but not jammed. The food was great. It was flavorful, but not too spicy. Service was without fault; our server did his job in a way to encourage the celebration and ambiance. Each portion of our order, including the lesser components was thoughtfully prepared and had a good flavor. Portions were quite ample, but that was second to the quality and flavor of the food. The shrimp cocktail could have been featured in a B+W film of a snazzy 1940s night club.
Had a wonderful meal with great service. Always enjoy dining at El Cisne.
