excellent dining experience unique dishes and very tranquil kind of a mix between spa and restaurant only way i can explain it also very attentive staff well mannered
Very special place. Several wonderful surprises that will sure to please. Super imagination by this chef.
Great service and experience.
Food is solid but not necessarily outstanding.
Amazing Experience, The location was perfect very nice view, something diferent
Great food experience and the tasting menu was very creative!
It was an outstanding experience that in a few instances took me back to my Colombian roots mixed in with the amazing culinary of a Bluehill Stonebarn.
Juan Manuel is a great role model at his young age!
Well, the idea is okay if you want a food experience that included washing your hands in white chocolate & end up sticky the whole meal, but the concept is just to elicit a comment. I thought maybe it was some odd historic tradition, but no, just unnecessary. Food good, but always with something weird to distract from what could be delicious. It would be hard to get me there again. Sorry, because the space is great. Staff English needs to improve a bit, too.
We had an amazing experience for Valentine’s Day. Highest recommendation !
Very rushed. Way overpriced ($300-350 for 2 people). Courses didn’t flow with each other and the food itself wasn’t that great. For two foodies, we were highly disappointed.
Me encanto la autenticidad del restaurante es algo unico q vale la pena conocer
The menu was so creative and a visual feast for the eyes. Loved every course. We will definitely recommend to our friends.
This isn’t the restaurant you go to often but for special occasions, I 100% recommend! The food was excellent but it’s the experience and the creativity behind each course that makes this restaurant fantastic. I highly recommend having “The Experience” and doing the 5 glass wine pairing to go with it. You will leave full and highly satisfied with the chefs twist on classic Columbian flavors.
Incredible service , food , preparation, and overall experience, it is more than just food, it is the preparation and service. Please go and enjoy great gourmet food
Just a menu dinner very expensive for the dinner you have. No other options for dinner.
Outstanding meal every single time. Waiters and staff are phenomenal. One of the best restaurants. Every meal is an experience!
This is our second time and it won’t be the last. Great restaurant. Very different and every dish is a lovely surprise. The staff are excellent and you feel very much at home in this really unique little gem.
Very different. Quite an experience. Service was excellent and great admosphere
It was a beautiful experience. The service was great and the food was out of this world. My wife and I had a night to remember.
This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend and it was everything she said it would be. The food is exceptional, different and so very enjoyable. I can’t wait to go back. It touched all five senses. Worth every penn6 and it is also very affordable. Priced well.
If I thought that El Cielo was truly “innocent”, then I would go easier on them. But they’ve been around two years, and the chef has certainly eaten at other restaurants with tasting menus. So... They should know better.
In short: This is nowhere near the sort of value/experience that one would expect for a $120 tasting menu sort of restaurant.
Examples: On the service side — The server mumbled and presented the dishes with little explanation and no enthusiasm. Most telling — The $55 wine pairing: They brought the second full glass of white wine before the table had finished our glass of champagne; and one course later there were *three* glasses of wine stacked up on the table! (What kind of wine? Who knows — The server didn’t bother to mention...)
So you pay $55 (full price) for three glasses of wine — a champagne, a mystery white and a mystery red. They aren’t discernably paired with anything, and their quality on a stand-alone basis is questionable at that.
On the food side: First off, the licking chocolate off your hands “experience” — yes, that’s right. I’m sure other reviews mention it, and I personally wasn’t opposed to doing it. But it was very embarassing when you are taking guests from out of town to a dinner that you assume is going to be, say, “classy”.
What’s more the chocolate was only the first dish where I wondered about the quality of the ingredients. Was this simply Hershey’s syrup? Quite possibly (no effort was made to convince me otherwise). The carrot soup *might* have come from a box? The chicken and rice was flavorful — maybe because they added a second packet of seasoning? The salmon slurry was surely farm-raised...
Again, if I thought that the creators of El Cielo were in earnest and completely innocent here, I wouldn’t write this kind of review. But I think rather they are laughing all the way to the proverbial bank, using second-hand ingredients and silly concepts, delivered by a minimally trained wait-staff.
Good experience and attentive wait staff . A lot more expensive than advertised
Im from barcelona spain and i go often to ferran adria and other restaurants with micheline stars and the food and restaurant can surprise to me
Unique food and experience, tasty as well. The full experience tasting menu left us satisfied rather than full. Great service and setting.
One of the most wonderful experiences I ever had in a Restaurnt. Very friendly and professional staff. Exelent location
Very creative dining experience involves all your senses. Be open to a new concept! The menu is set-up differently!
Great food, service and concept, we were full after the first few dishes , will defenetly come back
Fantastic culinary experience! Unique style.... love the latin ambiance
For me its the Latin Jean Georges, more than i expected, right now the best restaurant in Miami overall great job Juan Manuel i become your new fan 😍.
Exquisite experience. Portions are very small but the flavor and creativity make it worth the price a thousand times over!
3 degustation menu with 2 cocktails for 500+ usd. Great food but not the best value
Great experience, very creative food quality excellent restaurant.
One of the best, if not the best dinner I ever had. Superb service beginning with the hostess. The meal itself is really a great experience in which the chef carry you through a wonderful journey. Will go back!
ElCielo is pricey but definitely worth the visit for a special occasion, the food was great and the staff went above and beyond! Definitely want to visit again!
Absolutely amazing. My wife and I were in Miami for a couple of days and decided to try something different for dinner..so glad we did! The food was incredible, the service was perfect, the atmosphere was great, and the evening became one of our all-time favorite dining experiences in our 31 years together.
One of our favorite places in Miami. The food and presentation of food is like fine art. I am always amazed at the line up of plates and presentations. Drink menu and wine is also is very good. If any place deserves 5 stars it’s El Cielo.
Best cuisine experience ever! Def coming back
excelente servicio y muy creativa la comida, es un lugar muy acogedor ideal para una cena romantica
Great restaurant with an amazing dining experience. Definitely something to try at least once. It is a bit on the pricey side so make sure you can afford it before going.
