The service was amazing!!! Came for the bottomless brunch, will be back again.
Shrimp was old and smelly, service was slow. Drinks during happy hour are wack. Overall vibe is nice.
Super fun place for a Friday night dinner with friends! Food was amazing- fresh and authentic, and the service was great! :)
They had a great happy deal. I would recommend for well priced margs and good tacos
Really not great service. No chips and salsa during happy hour. Weak marg. TERRIBLE mosquitos made it hard to enjoy the experience.
They were out of carne asada, which is odd since they had carne asada street tacos... the cocktails were horrible don't recommend the mango or the spicy mango margarita. I guess the humidity could've affected the prep of the drinks. The tacos were good. And the platanos were amazing.
Meeting with friends from out of town. It took hours for food to arrive, then they just kicked us off, literally.
Cool atmosphere and good drinks, but brunch food was sub-par. It felt like a heated up pile of slop.
The food and drinks were great! Service was a bit confusing as many servers seemed to be coming and going but overall good service considering how busy it was!
I have come back to DC after 3 years and I used to come to El Centro DF to eat all the time. This time the ambiance has changed. The hostesses were not welcoming and did not greet anyone upon arrival. Also, even though I had a reservation they said they could not seat me yet but when a couple in front of us asked for a table even though they did not have a reservation they were seated. When we left a male hostess did say thank you for coming. Our server made us feel like we were bothering her just by asking for more refills of drinks. When we ordered bottomless brunch we also ordered guacamole a la carte. Our server was none to happy that we ordered extra items. Why not we paid for them. Our food was cold when brought to our table. For the first time, El Centro DF disappointed me. I do not think what we paid yesterday plus tip was worth the food or the manner in how we were treated. We were not treated well. It was sad because I frequented this restaurant all the time for six straight years before I left DC the first time. I was excited to go back but now I am just disappointed.
Me and my partner were here for bottomless brunch. The food was ok but, its literally a tasting menu. The drinks were terrible. It felt like powder based margaritas and mimosa (fake orange juice)
I usually love this place. My most recent experience was a little disappointing. Food was OK. Frozen margarita machine wasn’t working (which is at least half of the reason to come here & do bottomless brunch).
Service was ok. It was horribly hot outside, which we were OK with since we are more comfortable outside with COVID but it would be nice to have an umbrella.
Don't waste your money. Below average Mex food. Anyone who wrote they liked it was drunk or never had good Mex food before. Over priced and poor service. Bunch of young people who don't care. Will never return. Wished I never went.
Came here to celebrate with my spouse. We had our first date here a few years ago, and it's just as fun now as it was then. I had the Chesapeake Enchiladas, and they were delicious. My spouse had the Chicken Tinga Tacos, which were devoured with equal enthusiasm. Can't wait to come back!
Food was just ok. Almost every meal we got was cold. They neglected to tell us that the kitchen closed at 3:30 when I booked a table for 2:45, that would be nice to know before hand. Brunch menu is very small and you can ONLY order from those few items on sundays. Our waiter was not very friendly or attentive. George, who wasn’t our waiter helped us more than our actual waiter did, he deserves a raise.
Understaffed, and a/c was obnoxiously loud. Food and drink selections have gone way down post-COVID
Great authentic Mexican Food! Excellent service
The server was friendly and prompt and the food was delicious!
Great all around!
The food was excellent and the service was amazing!
Drinks were amazing- strong yet flavorful. Food was good- loved the tacos. Only downside is not many veg options.
Restaurant week menu & strawberry basil margs were amazing! Will definitely be back.
everyone was served before we even got water to our table .. never going back here again
Food & service were outstanding. George was great! We ate outside upstairs and it was SO HOT. It could definitely benefit from another canvas covering or two up there — it’s a great location and perfect to not be fully in the mix/be quieter, but if you’re having brunch or lunch and it’s hot - beware. The chilaquiles are to die for though!
I went during restaurant week and enjoyed the experience. The food and drinks were great! The only downside was that it was a little noisy, but we did go later in the evening.
Jane was absolutely amazing!! I want to keep going here just for her!!!!!!
Very subpar experience. Still upset the 14th street location closed down. I’ve given this location several tries and I’ve still not been satisfied with my experience. The ambience, food and service was way better at 14th street. I will not be returning.
We waited for ever for a server, then we ordered our drinks and apps. The drinks were not good and one of us switched theirs out and still not that great. No one drank them. Margarita's and Mule.
We stated my daughter was allergic to seafood and nuts. Her chicken enchilada came out and it was a seafood enchilada. Luckily she noticed it and we said something immediately. When the server said they would switch it we said great but please do not put the tomatoes and avocado on it. Well it came out with the tomatoes and avocado on it. She could eat around it but it was not that great. This was her birthday dinner and it was ruined. They next said you may want to skip dessert which we had already ordered b/c we are not sure if it meets your allergy issues. Really you couldn't have said that earlier?
Will not go back here again and we live in GT.
Decided to check this out for DC resturaunt week. The menu looked amazing and I had heard great things about this place so it was first choice. Well....maybe I should have stuck to the regular menu. Pros the host was nice and the presentation of the dishes were great. Now start with drinks. We ordered the house infused pineapple margaritas. Don't ever get a pitcher. It taste like all sour mix.. The waitress was honest and told us that if you order a pitcher the basically only probably the same amount of tequila that goes in one glass and the rest is juice. Gotta love honesty. She was kind enough to take it away and we ordered new drinks.. For food we decided to try the crab guacamole, cantina nachos,, chesapeake burritos and churros. With the exception of the cantina nachos and the cheese rice that came with the burrito.....food was not good. Everything was cold. The guacamole and the burrito, which are both suppose to have crab, had not one piece of crab. Guacamole taste more like tuna. The burrito was cold, sauce definitely tasted like canned sauce. No authenticity to any of the dishes. The churros.. we're pretty but cold and not edible.
Wound up just leaving those behind. The location in Georgetown was good. The noise level is very loud even without a crowd. So loud that even the other waiters and waitresses has to yell at each other to hear lol.
Prompt seating, great service, excellent food, right level of business on a Sunday evening... The drinks are hit or miss, though, you're safer sticking to the classics than some of the more unconventional ones.
I came for my birthday with my friends and the service was AMAZING. Jane our server was FANTASTIC and she really made the whole experience wonderful. The drinks were really good and the food was yummy. Definitely will be back!
We had an amazing time! Keny was phenomenal! We never had an empty glass, he answered all our questions and made sure to take care of the allergy accommodation at our table. Such a fun time and would definitely come back.
If you want to get tipsy, or drunk, at brunch, then this place is a MUST! Good food, strong drinks!
Great food, great environment. Feels like being in Mexico!
Unprofessional service, food cold, tables gross or broken, MICE
Only regarding brunch, they have scaled their bottomless menu way way down, any you don't choose the plates you want anymore- they just bring one of each of the 7-8 small plates out to each person at the table now. Didn't love it. Also got rid of agua frescas on the drinks menu, but our server was great and kept the margaritas coming. Used to be one of my favorite brunch spots but probably won't be back.
Great tacos, and killer, warm chips that just kept coming. Delicious!
BEST HAPPY HOUR EVER! <3 Best margs, best chips, best mini food options
A great spot for happy hour. The happy hour menu was good and the restaurant has a lot of space.
Super fun and absolutely delicious! The chips and guacamole were the real deal and the menu had lots of variety, all of which was delicious! I would highly recommend the mix and match tacos!
