El Centro D.F. - Georgetown
Reaching back to his roots, internationally acclaimed Chef Richard Sandoval created El Centro DF to introduce Washington DC to signature authentic Mexican flavors and traditional dishes that he grew up enjoying. The dynamic two-story restaurant in Georgetown, with a back patio, is also home to over 300 tequilas, mezcals alongside craft Mexican-inspired drinks.

Unprofessional service, food cold, tables gross or broken, MICE
Only regarding brunch, they have scaled their bottomless menu way way down, any you don't choose the plates you want anymore- they just bring one of each of the 7-8 small plates out to each person at the table now. Didn't love it. Also got rid of agua frescas on the drinks menu, but our server was great and kept the margaritas coming. Used to be one of my favorite brunch spots but probably won't be back.
Great tacos, and killer, warm chips that just kept coming. Delicious!
BEST HAPPY HOUR EVER! <3 Best margs, best chips, best mini food options
A great spot for happy hour. The happy hour menu was good and the restaurant has a lot of space.
Super fun and absolutely delicious! The chips and guacamole were the real deal and the menu had lots of variety, all of which was delicious! I would highly recommend the mix and match tacos!
Great authentic Mexican fare. The only downside is there is a limited menu due to the current pandemic. Rooftop area was wonderful. Churros are amazing!
Service was fine. Food was OK. Would not deal with parking in Georgetown and pay to eat here again.
My first time at el centro no one explain the menu, we came during brunch around 3:00 pm. Unfortunately, we had to eat what was available for brunch, the food came quickly. The staff told us we had to leave after we paid our bill because they close at 4:00 and reopen at 5:00 pm for dinner. It was freezing upstairs i couldn’t enjoy my food or my friends. I will not be going back and will not recommend this restaurant.
The endless brunch was amazing. I loved the selections. The margaritas were a bit too tart for my liking but the food was great
Chase and Alima were beyond lovely! Thank you so much for everything y’all do 💜
Drinks tasted watered down by the ice. But appreciated the server and her food recommendations and nice service.
Great place for a night out to eat! Went for a friends birthday and it was the ideal atmosphere. The waiter was extremely nice and ended up throwing in an extra pitcher of margs for us :) Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I'm a vegetarian and there were not that many entrée options for me - but all 5 of the other guests really enjoyed their taco and entrée selections.
Too freaking loud!
Amazing servers and great food and drinks. Definitely recommend bottomless brunch.
It was great! :) Delicious food, friendly and attentive service. We got the Bottomless Brunch -- would absolutely reccomend!
El Centro used to me such a good brunch spot. Their menu has changed and they now make you order everything, this is such a waste if you don't eat some things on the menu. All in all the food is still okay, and price is great. However I feel like there are now much better brunch options. the mimosas were straight Orange Juice. It's sad such a great brunch spot is no longer what it used to be.
Mo was a wonderful server! And AJ was a great host she accommodated our seating perfectly!!
Awful service - the waiter made arbitrary decisions for our order without asking us.
Our waitress (sadly forget her name, she was serving upstairs during Sunday Brunch around 1pm and had long hair) was so nice! Given the labor shortage, it is so great to see such a lively restaurant with servers who are enjoying themselves and also doing great!!
Family reunion vacation
The service was very good and the food too but it em was very Loung like if there was a construction on top of the restaurant
Best bottomless brunch!!!! The food and drinks were amazing. Our drinks were never less than half way full. Our waiter was so funny and kind. It was an amazing experience. Also such a good deal!
The tacos are
We were charged about $80.00 for a pitcher of top shelf Margaritas. We were surprised at the super expensive charge for top shelf . We think the server should have told us how CCD expensive the pitcher was going to be . And yes- we should have asked too.
Good snd service otherwise was very good .
We celebrated a friends birthday
Food options for the bottomless brunch were lacking and drinks were weak. Overall, not worth it IMO. My friend and I left after our 2nd drink and first food serving, and headed to a different restaurant. I've been for their happy hour and dinner before, and wonder if their a la carte brunch options are better.
Really great drinks at a good price during Happy Hour, nice vibe to have fun and catch up with friends
Awesome atmosphere, fun place, great food and drink. I’ll be back with friends for sure
Limited menu during brunch hours. Not everyone wants a set bottomless food/beverage menu. Limited items outside of that set menu.
We went for bottomless brunch & sat on the patio upstairs. It is a nice spot but we were pretty disappointed. There was one waitress for the entire patio & she was clearly overwhelmed. Ethel kept seating more and more people at one table (4 people when we got there, 10 people when we left). We had margaritas and because it took so long, ended up only with two over the course of 2 hours. One in our party ordered whiskey and both times it came in a glass that was chipped. The waitress miscounted twice when putting in our orders, so for two courses one of us had to wait 5-15 minutes for food. Suffice to say we wouldn’t be back, which is shame as the food was pretty good.
We tried to give this place a chance but they really disappointed us. We came on Sunday for the bottomless brunch option. To start, the drinks were very watered down and tasted like the cheapest tequila was used in making the margaritas. I asked the bartender to make me another mimosa, which he kindly did. The fresh mimosa that was made was a lot better but the mimosas following that one was bad like the first one I had. My friend got a margarita and bloody Maria and said they were the worst drinks she’s ever had. Secondly, our waiter comes and I tell him I would like to order the steak tacos. He tells me steak tacos are not on the brunch menu. I pull up the menu on my phone and show him exactly where steak tacos are on the brunch menu. He then acts baffled and I’m confused as to why the waiter wouldn’t know what’s on the menu. We really tried to give this place a chance but we’re very disappointed.
If you love eggs, it is a great value! If not, do NOT get bottomless brunch.
Fun atmosphere and wait staff, good food, enjoyed the experience.
food was good, the kitchen was slow. the margaritas were good but could have been
We LOVE El Centro!! The food is incredible, especially the chips+guac! Such a fun ambiance!
Stopped by with a friend for happy hour. Nothing special to report. Happy hour menu is priced well compared to the value and quality of food items. Overall, good spot to wait and meet a group of friends before going elsewhere.
I've had better experiences at the [now closed] 14th st location.
Food was good. Service was a little slow but I think it was because several tables were sat at one time. Would go back for the drinks.
Not only was the food amazing, but the service (specifically Jane) was really great at her job. She was a great conversationalist, while also giving us space. She was attentive and her spirit added to a great dining experience at El Centro. Would recommend and definitely planning on coming back for brunch again soon!
The Diablo shrimp burnt and there was like 6-7 for $22. The pink lemonade was $6 for mostly ice, just generally over priced.
What an awesome place in an awesome location! Highly recommend the strawberry margaritas and the Chesapeake enchiladas! The cheesy rice is SO GOOD!
