El Catrín Destilería abrió sus puertas en verano de 2014 en el distrito de la Destilería. Este auténtico restaurante mexicano cuenta con un mural impresionante de 50 x 150 metros y con unos de los mejores patios y carta de cocteles de la ciudad. Además, ofrece un ambiente animado y un personal divertido para que las comidas sean un éxito asegurado. El chef Le Calvez, originario de Ciudad de México, se enorgullece de presentar a los comensales de Toronto los sabores frescos que representan la famosa gastronomía de su tierra natal.

    It was horrible!! Freezing cold inside the dining room we sat with our coats on and when I mentioned it to the manager Vanessa or tenessa she was very short and rude and just agreed.

    Very good meal at the distillery. Good idea to book ahead, especially during the Christmas market season. It's a bit expensive for what you get, but it is a great meal with great service.

    We both ordered tacos … different Both tasted excellent. We both thought the area a bit on the cold side And after the waitress brought us the menu for the dessert it seemed liked it took longer than expected so we declined.

    Not the first time going. Little disappointed how cold it was inside. Room temperature Made us rush out of there. Otherwise love it there and staff always always amazing 🤛🏻

    Everything was awesome except it was freezing cold. The side door to outside was constantly being opened and it was like a wind tunnel where we were sitting. I was absolutely frozen by the time we left and wasn’t warm enough to walk around the distillery.

    Finally had my first visit at El Catrin. The atmosphere and vibe was great. Our guacamole appetizer was delicious, but the chicken in the quesadilla was dry and was overpowered by the extra cheese. Baja Tacos were ok, I would suggest they change the oil that they deep fry the fish as it didn't have a 'fresh' taste. Odd that you cannot mix and match your taco selection. Margarita was delicious, but was served in a water glass that was filled with big ice cubes. Overall, it was ok, but not worth the money I paid.

    Fantastic holiday lunch with my family. The service was excellent, as was the food (especially the guacamole made fresh at the table) and the special flight of margaritas. We ate indoors this year due to the weather (it was a little drafty where we sat as we were close to a door). Ambiance was good; noise level very acceptable given how full the restaurant was. Overall a really lovely lunch.
