    Wait staff and bar staff should understand what a skinny cocktail represents. Had to turn back a drink two times and didn’t bother getting another one. Service was slow getting the bill was even slower.

    We were a large group of 17 - reservations at 4 pm in order to beat the crowds. Our server, Ashley was outstanding. Ashley was attentive and intuitive. She had wonderful suggestions, engaged with us and really helped make our night perfect. The guacamole was amazing. Our tacos, the Al Pastor, the Birria and the Haddock were very filling and tasty. With a large group, only 1 bill is permitted and auto 18% gratuity is applied. El Catrin is our go to restaurant when we visit Distillery District. Had a wonderful time.

    We were fortunate to get a shady corner patio table. We really appreciated the cool misting on a hot, sunny day! A highlight was the 2 flights of 4 delicious margaritas, shared among 4 of us. We also enjoyed the chips and guac, 3 different selections of tacos and a variety of desserts! Good service. A bit pricey but worth the splurge for a fun outing.

    Perfect, great food, awesome service from the waiter. One of our party have food allergies and she talked to the chef to make sure all our plates were safe so he could taste all of them if he wanted to!

    Unfortunately, it wasn’t a great experience. We were seated at a dirty table, so we asked to be moved. The new table hadn’t been cleaned either, but we didn’t say anything. The plates were not properly washed—there was guacamole on the bottoms of the side plates, which we found very off-putting. While the server was very serious and polite, he seemed uncomfortable speaking to women or children. Food was good. The person who brought us some extra chips without us even asking was a young Asian guy who made the experience less uncomfortable. So thanks to him for being pleasant.
