El Barzon Ratings and Reviews
We've been to El Barzon several times now. Each dining experience has been fabulous. The service from the staff is top notch. The menu and specials are so interesting and well prepared. Great food at a reasonable price; what's not to like? We recommend El Barzon to all our friends!
The service was perfect. We had been to this restAurant many years ago and were pleasantly surprised by the newly added addition which made our dining experience leaving us likx s were on a vacation. An added bonus was the quality of the food. Fun and interesting menu. We were sorry we were so full that dessert was not an option. We will be back.
We had a great meal here on the patio, choosing the Mexican side of the menu. The patio is such a great place to have a meal and enjoy the beautiful space. Our waiter, Gustavo, was excellent and we enjoyed talking to him about Mexico City. The food was spot on and the service was excellent. Overall, we can't wait to go back.
I officially have a new favorite restaurant! El Barzon was better than I could have imagined! Took my fiancé for his birthday, and while they did not do anything special for the celebration---the food was outstanding and ambiance was top-notch! We LOVED the patio and we will be considering it for our rehearsal dinner. The asiago gnocchi with chorizo sauce was to die for, we just wish it wasn't a special and it could be on the menu all the time!! We will most certainty be back in the near future!
The hostess was incredibly rude. She avoided the hostess stand as people waited. We had reservations and it took 10 minutes just to find someone and let them know we were there. She very rudely said it would be a couple minutes which turned into a half an hour. When confronted about the wait she stated "I told you we're working on it". Finally we just seated ourselves. Many patrons left because there was no one to seat them. They had at least 20 tables that were not bused and the manager could have cared less about any of it. Our waiter was terrific and the food was very good. However I will not be returning due to the horrible, incredibly rude hostess, and lack of management. You should not treat paying customers that way.
Food was pretty good, but service was abysmal. It took over 15 minutes after being seated to be acknowledged, another 20 minutes to receive our initial drink order, and 30 minutes after we finished our appetizers before our main course arrived. MANY other guests were also overheard complaining about the service and food time, with one patron even angrily yelling at a manager near our table. We will not be back.
El Barzon has been a favorite of ours since it opened. The porch seating is great, although the open flame heaters were too at times. The food is wonderful, service was attentive and responsive.
My one issue, a significant one, is that the bathroom was in need of more frequent attention and definitely needs some upgrading. It is not in keeping with the high quality of everything else.
This place was recommended to us and it was incredible.
From the outside, it doesn't look anything special but once you go in there is a great outdoor and indoor place. We made reservation in advance.
Service was greatand the foot is excellent. We had one drink each and we both enjoyed it. Overall. Recommend it
Went for a birthday celebration. Great experience. Great service. Entire staff was focused on making certain everything was moving along nicely. Our server, Alex could not have been more accommodating. He was ever present and eager to assist with our selection. The food was very good. I highly recommend the asparagus soup. Good, rich and creamy. It could have been a meal in itself. We tasted a number of samplings and found everything to our liking. Don't be fooled by the combination Italian and Mexican cuisine. Both are done extremely well.
I would recommend El Barzon.
