Un hermoso lugar. La comida exquisita y los empleados muy atentos
Food wasn’t that great for the price.
Food was delicious but the servers seemed miserable.
Food was excellent. Service was good and the staff was very friendly.
The service was terrible. The place itself is beautiful.
Our reservation was at 8:15… we were seated on time but unfortunately that’s where the good impression ended. We sat down and waited quite a while to have a drink order taken… so long that we had our food order ready when our waitress came back; we just decided to put it in together. We could tell it would take a while.
At one point after observing nobody around us had their food, I leaned over and asked a table how long they had been waiting. To which they replied “Yeaaaa it’s been a while”
My husband and I were sitting in a great spot and the restaurant was beautiful BUT he couldn’t get over the fact that no one in the kitchen was wearing gloves. I don’t think it bothered him as much at first but when the cook began to handle raw meat WITHOUT GLOVES… that’s when the argument became whether or not we would stay.
We ordered seafood so I convinced him to stay… and we continued to wait for our food. We sat down at 8:15p and received our food an hour later. I have no problem waiting that long for amazing food but our seafood pasta left much to be desired. The crab meat tasted like runoff water from the crab being thawed out and there was no seasoning…….. at all.
We quickly boxed up what was leftover of the food but to be honest I wasn’t interested in taking it….. and then waiting another 20 mins for a check. A waiter came over to our table to let us know a large party was splitting their checks so it caused a hold up. Another 15 mins passes and finally someone else asked if we were okay. “We still waiting or our check…” I said. She checked us and we left….. top it off with the fact that my husband got sick from the pasta and I’d say the night was pretty “mehhhhh”. I was definitely a little disappointed.
DON’T EAT HERE
We walked about a mile uphill to get to the restaurant. When we arrived for our lunch reservation (11:45am) we made using the app, we were told that the restaurant was not open until 4pm. The restaurant doors and windows were open and service staff had the room looking like it was open. You should not be able to make reservations for a restaurant that is not open.
The food was ok but Waited a very long time to be seated
Service was horrible, took over an hour and a half to get food. But once we got the food it was delicious.
Love this place!
Delicious food and nice spacious seating areas. Great breeze through the courtyard. They were understaffed when we were there so it was a little slow but the food was good and made up for the speed.
Not a great experience. Service is rude and slow. Food mediocre and super overpriced. Would not recommend
The ceviche was the best I’ve ever had! Incredible! Other dishes were tasty. Service was slow and sometimes made us feel ignored, more so than other restaurants in PR. Overall the menu had a nice variety and the setting was super cool!
They accommodated my large party of 12 for a bachelorette party. The food and service was both great!
Espectacular!!!
In a country where slow service is in our experience commonplace, this place takes it to new levels of awful. 25 minutes of standing outside waiting to be seated when on time for our reservation. Once seated, another 20 minutes before anyone showed up at the table. Anticipating yet another long wait for food, we ordered drinks, salad and entrees once the waiter finally appeared.
Drinks arrived reasonably quickly ... hmmm, maybe this will be okay. Then .... nothing. 30 minutes ... 60 minutes ... no waiter in sight. Went to the bar to get a couple glasses of wine.
Another 30 minutes. Nobody acknowledged we were there. Grabbed a different waiter to say we had ordered 2 hours ago and asked how much longer. Got the story of how busy they were and it should arrive soon.
Food finally arrived ... was quite good. Our waiter finally reappeared with the bill and was quite chatty and friendly (after last seeing him hours ago). At this point we were well past 3 hours from arriving and were not impressed with his sudden interest in us. A very rare NO tip when paying the bill.
If you still decide to go ... you've been warned
Slow service, 2 people got their food when everyone else was done. We found a bottle cap in a monitor. Never again!!
Food was good, but not spectacular for the amount of time we had to wait. Had reservations and took over 2 hours to get our food. And wait staff was scarce.
Food and service was great! We will visit again when we comeback for vacation.
Took my college daughters to San Juan for a little getaway and this dinner was chef kiss along with the ambience. If ever in PR again I will return!
Delicious! We will definitely go back if we are in San Juan again.
It was just ok, would not go back. The mojito was exceptionally sour, to the point of undrinkable. The calamari while tasty was too heavily breaded. The seafood mofongo was good. We wanted the caramel crepes for dessert, but alas they didn’t have them.
The service was good but the food was really disappointing for the price. Quite common.
Disappointing…service was AWFUL! Only reason people seem to go (myself included) was because they take online reservations…better places to eat in Old San Juan! Waited a VERY long time for disappointing food- my husband never got his drink, took 1+ hours after ordering to receive food, and everything was bland and disappointing. Only bad meal in San Juan though! Food is amazing in this city! Just dont eat here.
There were only three workers in the restaurant . Two servers and one cook. We had a big party reserved through open table at 1:00 pm May 30. The waiter did not take our order until 2;00. The food did not get served until 3:30. Our waiter was not only taking our drink orders but also making the drinks. We were in PuertoRico for a week and all restaurants were very short in personnel. This restaurant was recommended highly and the food was great but until this worker shortage is resolved, plan to spend a lot of time to get served.
this is a beautiful space with a TON of available seating... perhaps too much. they are obviously understaffed and really incapable of serving the number of guests they are seating.
from when we hit the door (with a long-standing reservation) until when we were served food we waited almost 90 minutes. we had to attract attention from the staff to get everything... drinks, food, silverware, etc...
and, while i truly appreciate the staffing issues, perhaps there could be a better plan of serving people rather than having the entire staff trying to make drinks behind the bar at the same time?
having the whole staff running from table to table frantically and without a plan points to no one doing any planning. perhaps management could build a plan to use staff's time wisely and limit the number of reservations to what can be served satisfactorily?
they were still taking reservations the day we were booked (i kept seeing them as the one place with availability on that day)... but they plainly had no plan for how to seat and serve the bookings.
the food was ok, but felt like it was cooked more for a catering/buffet venue.
not a ton of other options in walking distance of OSJ but many better places are a cab ride away.
I saw this restaurant listed in Conde Traveler, but I should’ve known when locals said they’d never been there. Service was disappointing. My mother and I walked up and stood there for a few minutes and no one greeted, we saw a sign to walk in through the main entrance and walked all the way around the entire block looking for the right spot. Turns out we went to the right place initially it was just roped off. After that, I flagged down the server and he waved me off and we stood outside for 15 minutes until a line formed. Just before we left he let us in.
It took forever to get our order taken, and once we did the food was disappointing too. The shrimp and lobster was over cooked and the risotto was just regular rice. The drinks were not good and everything has one flavor: sour passion fruit.
Do not waste your time here the food isn’t worth the price & they tend to not care if you have a reservation or not
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. cannot say enough good things about the food, staff, and ambiance. Fabulous.
Terrible food. Not worth your money.
Everything was great except they were short staffed and that made waiting outside for someone to seat us for a while & made the service itself a bit slower. I believe it was an off night for them. I do recommend going because everything was delicious.
Terrible service nasty staff
We had a lot of drinks! It was great!
Salty food, overpriced, not worth dining here. Drinks are terrible.
Anniversary week vacation
Such beautiful decor and interior design. The perfect outdoor patio with sunshine and casual ambiance!!
The food was amazing! Great ambiance, we were seated in a alcove with a view of outside that was just amazing. Service was a bit slow but I think this was due to limited staff. Overall great experience!
Beautiful restaurant in perfect location. After a confused greeting, we were seated in the lovely patio area. Our waiter took our order for wine & appetizer, then seemed to think we were done. I had to look for him to order dinner, which became very rushed due to curfew. Food was OK, not the best we had in San Juan, and we paid more here.
Res was for noon. Said they did not open til 12:30. Was low on help. We received no call or notification that our res was rescheduled. We did not get seated until 12:45. Did not have our order taken literally until 1:20. The only reason we stayed was because the restaurant was a food rec from an acquaintance of ours who had taken the time to email us several rec.s and this was the only one we were able to do. Did not get food until 1:55. We had to leave at 2:10 for a sailboat res. When we put our order in at 1:20, I mentioned we had to get going shortly after we ate and asked for the check to come with the food. It did not. When we received our food and drinks, I asked again for the check. It did not come. We had finished lunch and then asked for check a third time and received it. Oh, did I mention my husband got the wrong dish but by this time, it was too late to ask for the right meal..we did not even have time to appropriately complain because we almost missed the boat which we thought we would have no time stress as we planned accordingly...so we thought...our meals (mofongo shrimp which my husband had but did not order and my seafood was pretty good). Another couple was smart and left when they didn't get served. Again in typical situation, we would have done the same. We were not offered any free drinks, etc. It was acknowledged more help had come and did receive a single apology earlier in the ordeal.
