I liked the lodge supper club environment however the food is super expensive check out the menu before you go. It is all very bland in taste. The entree comes with a salad and potato but as I said it is bland, the salad is all iceberg lettuce and barely any other vegetables. Disappointing! Not worth the high price!

We had dinner at 6:30 on a Saturday night. Our waitor took our order . We didnt see the waitor after that. I dont know if it was another waitor that took the table or the bus boy who brought our food. I did ask for hot bread twice when we first sat down and never got it. Next time will not sit where the bar area is cause its way to noisy. Disappointed this time and have enjoyed coming many, many times before. When we come back will sit in one of the smaller rooms.

Food and Service were excellent. The noise level was so loud in the Bar area. Much louder than normal dining and bar activity

Food and service are very good, grilled calamari is awesome and would go back just for that. Veal Marsala was excellent as well. Only negative is that the prices are more in line w/Downtown Chicago in my opinion. $58-75 for various prime aged steaks. Although that does include a salad and choice of potato (go for the garlic smashed, terrific).

We love E J’s every time. We had a delicious shrimp cocktail and cocktails. We enjoyed Dover sole and veal Marsala and spaghetti with meat sauce. The food was delicious and the service was excellent too. Thanks

Steaks are priced EXTREMELY aggressively. I haven’t seen a $75 ribeye outside of downtown. My dad and I split a $60 filet, which was good but not great. Medium rare came out more rare. Ordered a simple Old Fashioned and was charged $15.75. Again, that’s a downtown price.

Great place for a great steak. Only problem is that they seat their favorites before those waiting for reservations.

We had dinner on Saturday night. The food was delicious but it was so hard to hear the other people at our table unless you were sitting right next to them. That was disappointing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at EJ's, one of the best Porterhouse steaks we've had in a long time. EJ's quality is definitely on par with the better steakhouses of downtown Chicago, but without the downtown traffic to hassle with. Some have noted that EJ's is on the pricey side. Yes, and no. If you are used to the usual chain restaurants of Skokie, then yes, you will find this more expensive. But, if you are accustomed to the finer steakhouses that Chicago is known for, then it is no more expensive than others in its league, especially when you consider that the entree price includes salad and choice of potato, whereas the majority of the other steakhouses are entirely a la carte for all sides.

Can't get a veal chop anywhere else like this. My absolute favorite. Waiter was meh, noise was pretty intolerable. Seated us in a very crowded section. Very expensive. Can't justify coming here more than twice a year. Can't believe it was so crowded on a Tuesday night.

The restaurant was packed when we arrived but our reservation was honored promptly. We were served by wait staff that proved to be presumptuous, changing my request for bleu cheese dressing, selecting my draft beer instead of waiting for me to choose, and challenging my wife’s choice of dressing on the side. The food was very expensive but also tasty. We were happy to take some home with us.

I had marked on my reservation that it was my friends 50th anniversary yet no mention was made of it. My friend ordered the rib eye rare but had to send it back because it was too cooked. By the time it was returned, the rest of us had eaten. No reflection on the server, who was outstanding, he brought a piece of pie to make up for her waiting so long. I would come back but I was disappointed with what happened.

Fantastic dinner served to us by Juliano. He was honestly one of the best servers we’ve ever had and complimented our delicious meal perfectly. Definitely a place we will go back to! The shrimp, T-bone steak and salad were delicious!! Loved the ambiance on a cold winter night with the wood burning fireplace.
